It is a Weston Electrical Amperes meter. The meter is 6" tall x 5 3/4" wide x 8 1/4" deep. Including the posts. It weighs five and three quarter pounds. The latest patent date is 1913. There is a tag attached to one of the posts with a date of 1962. It has some paint scratches and rust spots but is otherwise in good used condition. I don't know if it works. Vintage Lot of 3 Weston Electric Amp and Volt meter, Steampunk electrical gauge
This is a small lot of 3 Weston Electric meters. I have no way of testing these meter but they do appear to be in good condition with no dents. Dings, chips, cracks, or rust, but there are some scuffs and scratches from use. The smallest meter marked U.S.N. TYPE CV-22427 ZERO POWER LEVEL 6 MW. 600 OHMS. MODEL 506 has a diameter of 2 11/16" across the face. The other gauge marked MILLIAMPERES D.C. MODEL 616 no. 2897 measures 3 1/4" across the face. The last gauge is marked WESTON VOLTMETER MODEL 301 NO. 319095 and measures 3 1/4" across the face. These would also work great for an industrial or steam punk style art project. Hoyt Electrical Works 17-3AA DC Ammeter 0A - 100A Amp Gauge 2 Stud
I bought this Hoyt Electrical Instrument Co. Model No. 17-3 AA DC Ammeter in a box lot from an estate sale. It has two posts on the back and mounts around the edge with three small screws. It reads 0 to 100A and and looks to be in good condition overall. The glass window on the front popped free of its seal at some point. But it looks like it could be reattached easily. The mounting hole diameter is 2 3/16" and the backside depth is 1 3/4" including the studs. I have not tested it, so I am listing it as for parts/not working.
