This is an Amprobe AC Volt-Ammeter Recorder Set(Model PAVA-83) The item is built into a pristine leather case with a handle and latch mechanism to keep it closed. The case is still in excellent condition with next to no signs of wear but due to its old age. It has separated in the back at the leather seam that connects the top and bottom pieces of the set together. It is loaded with the graph paper needed for its operation and comes with all its original parts such as a clamp. Power cord, and other necessary cords which are all held inside the carry case. I have a used AMPROBE voltage/current recorder its in very good shape and it works flawlessly has been tested on both current and voltage. The model is LAV21E AV21RMS. If you are looking at this device you know that its a quality product and that it has been made In USA. Although i have it listed as used it shows very small amount of wear and its in good shape. Amprobe Voltage Chart Recorder AV8600 AV3
Amprobe Chart Recorder. Will plot 3 separate voltages time shared or a single voltage. Chart moves at 12 inches per hour. Also functions as a simple meter without chart movement. 3 voltage ranges 150-300-600. Comes with 4 rolls voltage paper. Has a nice case with instructions. There is only enough probes to do single voltage recording plus line cord. You could easily make more. They are simple plug in insulated alligator clips. This unit has an intermittent problem that even though the meter needle is pushed up into the chart to make a mark. The dot mark is very faint. This may be due to older chart paper, basically carbon paper. I am not sure. The needle upward deflection may be adjustable. Sold as is, no returns. Thanks

Please check the bottom of the listing for any additions or answered questions. Item: Here we have an“AC Ammeter Recorder” by Amprobe. I don’t know much about it. Other than what is marked on the unit and case; it is their model No. 850A, and when I plugged it in I heard the motor inside working. When I moved the switch from“Off” to“On” the paper roll inside started to move slowly. It has some instructions attached to the inside of the case, as seen here… And it comes with this clamp. And I think it goes around the wires you are testing… The markings on the clamp are“A70FL– 60 C/S” Along with“Amprobe Instrument” and“Lynbrook, N.Y. Made In U.S.A. which you can see better in the next pic. You can ... morealso see that the ends of the wires, these connect into the terminals near the right side in the first pic above… When not in use. The unit is protected by this leather case… And when it is in use. The paper roll feeds out the bottom of the case seen here… I don’t know how to use it. So I can’t say how well it works, but as I mentioned the motor inside came on and the paper advanced when I plugged it in and turned it on. Age: Uncertain. It is not dated Size: about 6” by 7” And about 3 ½” wide Condition: The unit does seem to power up when plugged in. And the paper advanced when I turned it on, but beyond that I have no clue, so it is offered“As Is” with no returns, please bid accordingly. This instrument records AC voltage over a range of 0-150/300/600 volts and up to 3 phase. It can. On a time sharing basis, sequentially record up to 3 AC voltages on the same chart. Complete with three cords, AC cord and a spare roll of chart paper. I used this instrument for a test about a year ago, and haven't used it since. It was working the last time I used it, but keep in mind that this is not a new piece of equipment and it is delicate to ship!
