The case is still in excellent condition with next to no signs of wear but due to its old age. It has separated in the back at the leather seam that connects the top and bottom pieces of the set together. Other than what is marked on the unit and case; it is their model No. 850A, and when I plugged it in I heard the motor inside working. When I moved the switch from“Off” to“On” the paper roll inside started to move slowly. It has some instructions attached to the inside of the case, as seen here… And it comes with this clamp. And I think it goes around the wires you are testing… The markings on the clamp are“A70FL– 60 C/S” Along with“Amprobe Instrument” and“Lynbrook, N.Y. Made In U.S.A. which you can see better in the next pic. You can ... morealso see that the ends of the wires, these connect into the terminals near the right side in the first pic above… When not in use. The unit is protected by this leather case… And when it is in use. The paper roll feeds out the bottom of the case seen here… I don’t know how to use it. So I can’t say how well it works, but as I mentioned the motor inside came on and the paper advanced when I plugged it in and turned it on. Age: Uncertain. It is not dated Size: about 6” by 7” And about 3 ½” wide Condition: The unit does seem to power up when plugged in. And the paper advanced when I turned it on, but beyond that I have no clue, so it is offered“As Is” with no returns, please bid accordingly. There is moderate wear and soiling on the case, and a little rust on the screws that hold it together in the back, but I don’t see any damage. Amprobe RS-300 Analog Clamp-On AC Volt Ammeter 0-300A 0-600V w/Case and Probes
This is a used Amprobe RS-300 Clamp-On Rotary Analog Volt Ammeter with case and 2 sets of probes. It has voltage ranges of 0-150/300/600 and amps ranges of 0-6/15/40/100/300. It is tested working. I attached it to a HP 6920B Meter Calibrator and all voltage ranges were very accurate. I tested the amps ranges by clamping of the battery cables of my car and cranking the engine. Although I did not have another way to verify the readings it appeared to be consistent across all ranges. The needle moves smoothly and the dial moves easily between the ranges. The pointer lock button hold the needle securely. The unit is in very good to excellent condition with normal minor wear and some engravings with a previous owner's name. The case appears to be made of leather and is also in very good condition with only minor wear. The latch close tightly ... moreand securely. There a previous owner's name written on the outside of the case in some type of marker. The name may be able to be cleaned off but I did not want to take a chance of damaging it. It has two sets of original leads and one set of alligator clip ends. i am also including a copy of the manual(not original. It is printed from a pdf) My partner and I have recently acquired the stock of a recently closed radio. CB, ham, electronic repair shop that included CB, shortwave/amateur receivers and transmitters, vintage radios, vintage and newer electronic test equipment and electronics parts. I tested it with a 75 watt lamp as the current load and it measured it fine- I didn't have a higher current device with a single wire I could clamp it on handy.
