Millivac MV-928A RF Millivoltmeter - Powers Up
This is a Millivac MV-928A RF millivolt meter. This meter measures RF voltages in 8 ranges from.001 volt to 3.0 volts full scale. This meter is identical to the more common MV-828. But includes it's own built in rechargeable battery for portable use, as well as running off of 117 VAC. The meter powers up and the zero control works. I also charged the battery and it works from battery power as well, I left it powered on for about an hour) The battery is no doubt old, so how long it will hold a charge is unknown. Unfortunately, I do not have the RF Probe for it, so I can not test full functionality or accuracy. The unit has the usual number of paint chips, scratches and scrapes, please study the pictures. HERE IS A NICE VINTAGE TYPE RF MILLIVOLTMETER MILLIVAC model MV-828A + PROBE WORKING CONDITION with the original box. ME-247D/U/ AN/URM-145D/U I HAVE TRIED THIS MILLIVOLT METER ON AN OLD HP OSCILLATOR at 30 KHZ. And also connected a digital multimeter to compare volts, and found all ranges are working, BUT WHILE THE VOLT READINGS WERE CLOSE, THEY WERE DIFFERENT, this could be because my digital volt meter would read 60 hz RMS, so I do not know if the MILLIVAV would need calibration or not. the end of the probe had a repair, the ground screw was loose, and now is fixed, that is why there is tape at the end of the probe.
