Vintage Lot- Weston Model 45- Voltmeter& Ammeter- In Oak Cases- RARE WW2. Up for auction is a lot of two(2) Antique/Vintage Weston Model 45 Meters. One is a Voltmeter. The other is an Ammeter. Both items are in extremely beautiful condition, and are truly some awesome surviving remnants of America's past, specifically its participation in World War 2. Both units are still equipped with the original documentation which they came with. The Voltmeter is dated November of 1921 while the Ammeter is dated May of 1937. Similarly. Both units are stamped on the outside of their wooden case with Serial/Model numbers, as well as the Manufacturer's information and the patent dates, the most recent of which is 1901, while the oldest is 1888. This is a vintage set of Weston Model 528 Voltmeter and Ammeter. They are previously used but have not been tested to see if they are currently in working condition. They were first produced in 1929 and these particular models feature Bakelite cases. The Voltmeter measures up to 150 volts. The Ammeter has a low range of 0-3 amps and high range of 0-15 amps. It is clean and neat looking. The paper in the front that tells about the tester is dated March 6, 1951. And that box is very interesting. Very heavy about 14 pounds.

This is for a Weston Electrical Instrument Corp D. C. Ammeter Model 45 patent date 1901. This was calibrated in October 27. 1919. I hooked up a battery and the meter registered a reading. This is in a heavy oak box without the leather handle. Clasp are in very good used shape. This is 8" by 8" by 4 1/2" and weighs 10 lbs 7 oz. It does have all the rubber grommets on the feet. There are a few small pieces of veneer missing or loose. Once screw cap is cracked. Please review photos and they are part of the description.

This is a Vintage Weston Electric. Weston Ammeter, Model 279. It measures Amperes. I believe is is from the early 1900's based on the pat. dates. It needs a light cleaning. I have no way to test it. In this listing I am offering one. Vintage Early 1940's Weston DC Ammeter 1 Amp- Model 1- 6 1/2 in. Excellent for Steampunk Project or Décor. Inspection& Calibration Documentation enclosed from 1947. This is unrestored- came right off the manufacturing floor into the storage room many years ago. There is a chip at the bottom of the back(1/2 inch) It will clean up immaculately. But since some people want that original look, I have not even wiped it down. Comes with nicely lined leather case. Some stitching problems at corner and strap is dried. Antique or Vintage Weston Ammeter Model 301 Measures -30 to +30 Amps
This is a very nice. Very old"zero center" ammeter made by the Weston Electrical Instrument Company of Newark, NJ. The model number is 301; the serial number is 96883. The following is stamped on the face plate just below the upper rim: Pat. NOV. 6'88, APR. 29'90, FEB. 17'91, OCT. 4'98, July 16'01. The black painted metal case(I believe brass) has moderate surface abrasions as pictured but is in generally nice condition with no discernible dents or damage; the face plate(a silver or champagne tone metal) is in excellent condition; the glass is intact with no cracks or discernible scratching. There is minor internal debris. I don't have an easy way to test this. So it is being sold as is, however, the needle does move freely from side to side and their is a recalibration screw on the lower front. Approximate ... moredimensions are 2.75" wide x 1.25" deep not including the back bolts.
