Base is 17 inches wide by 6 inches deep) and weighs approximately 13 lbs. Unit comes with 25mA. 1A, 5A, and 25A shunts as well as 25mV, 5V, 25V, and 125V multipliers. I applied a small current from my multimeter across the meter terminals and got a small deflection. There is a zeroing knob on the left side that appears to work although the meter movement seemed a little sticky in spots. There is a name in very faded marker(presumably of a former owner) across the top of the unit which may be removable but I did not want to try to clean it off. Sold as-is/as-found/condition unknown. Micranta Range Doubler Multitester 22-204A
This is a Micranta Multitester. My dad bought this from Radio Shack in believe in the mid 70s. This hasn't been used in probably 20 years. It's been in the box and preserved well. The cosmetic look of the tester is very good. There is really no scratches or cracks in the front face. This comes with all that is pictured. A manual, A Realistic Guide To VOM's And VTMs. book that was put out by Radio Shack, your positive and negative prods, etc. I don't know much about these things, but I wanted to make sure it read a signal from a D battery. This runs on one AA& one 9-volt battery. I removed the rear cover and discovered that one of the AA contact points has some deterioration/battery residue. like a battery was left in there and started to rot. When I removed the cover, there were batteries installed. But I placed two batteries ... moreand it works fine. So the deterioration didn't effect the battery terminals. The 9-volt terminals are clean with no damage. there is a picture highlighting the terminal I am describing with the battery residue-4. So I verified that it does work. MICROAMPERES Res=5000 ohms Type DDHRG Made in USA GA-51773 N.46380 The face is approximately 2.75" across at the widest point. And 2.4" deep, including the pins. Fits a hole size of 2-3/16th" diameter(or approx 55mm) The numbers. Vintage W. A. Welch Scientific Company DC Milliamperes Meter
This is one classic vintage W. A. Welch Scientific Company D.C. Milliamperes Meter that is in what I would call almost new condition. I am not even sure that it has ever been used. This meter has not been tested. I acquired it with a lot of test equipment and it was packed very carefully and secure in a large wood box. This type of DC meter can still be used in many applications and would be a great piece of Old School US Technology to display. This unit will only be shipped to US addresses and if outside of the continental US re-calculation of shipping charges will need to be done. As with all used electronic equipment we list.
