Vintage Lot- Weston Model 45- Voltmeter& Ammeter- In Oak Cases- RARE WW2. Up for auction is a lot of two(2) Antique/Vintage Weston Model 45 Meters. One is a Voltmeter. The other is an Ammeter. Both items are in extremely beautiful condition, and are truly some awesome surviving remnants of America's past, specifically its participation in World War 2. Both units are still equipped with the original documentation which they came with. The Voltmeter is dated November of 1921 while the Ammeter is dated May of 1937. Similarly. Both units are stamped on the outside of their wooden case with Serial/Model numbers, as well as the Manufacturer's information and the patent dates, the most recent of which is 1901, while the oldest is 1888. We purchased this antique voltmeter at an estate sale and was told that it was used by the Richmond. Fredericksburg& Potomac Railroad. It has a sticker for the railroad on the outer wooden box and an envelope for the railroad within the box. This is a Weston Model 341 Voltmeter and the paperwork in the box is dated 1954. This instrument is an electrodynamometer voltmeter and if properly used, its indications may be relied upon to within 1/2 of one percent of full scale value. The wooden case has some wear, however, is in nice condition for its age. The Voltmeter appears to be in excellent condition. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask. Everything is fine on this meter and it looks like it has been well cared for. The original leather handle is attached and in super shape. All the rubber feet on the back and bottom of the meter are in fine shape. I plugged this meter on my calibrator and it was working within a few percent on all three ranges.
