This vintage volt-ohm milliammeter worked perfectly prior to being packed away. During moving. One of the metal contacts on front was lost. The set screw was found inside, but the metal contact was not found. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it was missing until long after the boxes were discarded. That aside, this is a Herald Model TE-14AP Volt-Ohm Milliammeter with contact wires included, as shown. The item is being sold as is, but I imaging the missing part can be purchased at an electronics dealer such as Radio Shack and the item brought back to working condition. Thank you.

Powers on and the meter works, I don't know anymore about the unit, I got the unit from a person that worked on electronics and it had been in storage for quite a number of years. The chrome does have some light pitting around the meter, otherwise in decent condition. Unit sold as is, with possible repairs needed for proper operation, includes the 23 page manual and the probes as shown in the picture.

A wee bit dusty the meter is in very good shape. I see no cracks or chips. Glass intact. I took the back off and took photos. It did have a C Battery but I was unsure how to even test it so its AS IS. Has the red and black cords too. Box in okay shape.some shelf wear.the leather handle is cracked on the surface from being dry. Still secure. Pamplet in good shape. Nice color. Clean pages. Here is a real old vintage meter. It was made by Weston Electric in. USA. This would make a good display piece.It is not very often you find them as old as this.This is a malty meter. It must have had a strap on it for caring it around. The case has a few cracks with the pieces missing look at photos to see what I mean.It would still make a good display piece. don't know what shape this meter is in but I do know some one took the battery out so the in sides look good. HP 3440A Digital Voltmeter with 3444A DC Volt-Amp-Ohm Unit, Works
The HP Hewlett Packard 3440A Digital Voltmeter was one of the top selling products sold by HP during the 1960s. It was designed to measure DC voltages from 1 millivolt to 1000 volts and to be used with plug-in units for other measurements. Used with the model 3444A DC Multi-Function unit. It provides 5 full scale range measurements of 100 millivolts to 1000 volts, 100 microamps to 1000 milliamps and 1000 ohms to 10 megohms. Included in this auction is a HP3440A with a 3444A plug-in unit with power cord. I tried out the unit and everything I tried worked. I measured a variety of resistors from 15 ohms to 10 Megohms which exercised all 5 ranges of the unit and got results within the tolerance of the resistors. I made some voltage. Resistance and current measurements on the 10 volt/100K/10ma range which were compared to same measurements on ... morea newer digital voltmeter with comparable results(see pictures, the newer meter is not included) The inside seems quite clean and other than a few scratches, scraps and scuffs, the outside cabinet is in good condition for being probably 40 years old. There is some writing on the bottom which is probably from when the item was sold in a surplus sale. It looks like it was last calibrated in 1972. I did no testing at all of the remote control or the recording option. The unit with its handles and mounting brackets measures approximately 19" wide, 13" deep and 5-1/4" high.
