Shown is a nice old' ANTIQUE VOLT/ AMP DOUBLE METER' Brass housing with an aluminum back plate. 7" x 3 3/4" x 2 3/4 inches. Maker marked to the' Roller Smith Co. Bethlehem. Pa USA' I have no way of telling if this is in working order- could still work perfectly. But selling as a display item. Both needle move when the meter is moved. There is an internal light bulb- see photo. Paper label on the back has what appears to be a date of 89' or 09' which looks to be about the right time period. Nice looking instrument. I present here two beautiful WORKING meters removed from a high voltage laboratory power supply from times past. The Volt meter has scales from 0-1.0. 0-10, 0-20 and 0-50 volts dc. The amp meter has scales from-3, 0, +10, 15, 0, +50, 30, 0, +100, 150, 0, +500 Amps DC. The amp meter zero's up from the bottom of the scale at the zero point. Both meters can be scaled with resistor voltage dividers to any one of these or any other desirable measurement scale as long as the actual movement does not exceed the 1.0 ma. full scale rating of the meters as is common to most meters of this vintage. I am offering them together because they both came from the same power supply and should maybe be used together for a nice presentation on the front of a piece of equipment. The actual meter face measurement is 4-1/2 inches diameter and the hole size ... moreis 3-5/8 inches diameter. The +/ connections are labeled on the back and are the UPPER connectors not the lower ones. The meters are factory sealed. These are really nice high visibility meter faces and scales. The housing appears to be Bakelite and the face is clear plastic which appears to show very little to no age discoloration. There is no label or identifying serial number on the housing. There are two serial or identification numbers in fine print on the face near the bottom. They are 500R106 and0-4787P. The meter is functional I tested it with a low voltage battery. As the power source I had was at the maximum end of the scale ... moreI cannot tell you the accuracy of the readings. There is an adjustment screw on the face so if you had a reliable power source of known voltage you could likely set or adjust the meter. Please note there are no cable or leads with the meter. To test the meters functionality I made a pair of leads from sire soldered onto nails; the nails fit nicely into the ports on the top of the meter. The ports were for different scales. One port is black and reads negative[ The three other ports are red and are labeled 50. 500, and 1000. There are corresponding scales on the face of the meter. On the back side of the meter are two deep holes which likely have screws at the bottom. My guess is that if one wanted.One could take this little guy apart. I don’t want to as I would probably ruin it. Destroy it functionality, and never get it back together. I cannot date the meter precisely but I would guess that it is most likely from the middle 1960s. Electro-Guard Model 451B Galvanometer, Volt Meter, Continuity Tester
This is a Lab-Volt Electro-Guard Model 451B DC Galvanometer and combination Continuity Tester. Volt Meter and Ammeter. It also has the names Buck Engineering Co and General Electric Co. on the meter face. The meter has four functions. Switch selectable with the control knob. The first function is a continuity tester using an internal 1.5 volt C-cell battery and the two input test connections. The second function is a 0.5 VDC meter. The third and fourth functions are a 5 MADC galvanometer and a 0.5 MADC galvanometer. All functions work. There is an internal potentiometer which I assume can be used to calibrate the meter. I do not have a manual or any other information about the meter. No test leads are included. It is in very good physical condition and works electrically. Shipping to USA destinations only.

Sorry for the lack of pics but here's the deal. There are well over 100 meters and I would like to sell as one very large collection of similar instruments. All are old. Used most with inventory tags and all are worth you dropping by to check them out. These sell for $30/ 60 + each meter after clean-up. Some for even more. I am now asking $750 for everything. Probably around 120. That's nothing, it's under $7 per instrument, some with ready $40 value, jmo. Easy pick-up just off I-94 Sturtevant or I can take to Beloit. Just off I-90. I don't have the time to sell individually. Well worth the time for someone looking to cherry pick the best for themselves and sell off the rest. I will accept offers for 20 + units.
