Vintage Lot- Weston Model 45- Voltmeter& Ammeter- In Oak Cases- RARE WW2. Up for auction is a lot of two(2) Antique/Vintage Weston Model 45 Meters. One is a Voltmeter. The other is an Ammeter. Both items are in extremely beautiful condition, and are truly some awesome surviving remnants of America's past, specifically its participation in World War 2. Both units are still equipped with the original documentation which they came with. The Voltmeter is dated November of 1921 while the Ammeter is dated May of 1937. Similarly. Both units are stamped on the outside of their wooden case with Serial/Model numbers, as well as the Manufacturer's information and the patent dates, the most recent of which is 1901, while the oldest is 1888. HISTORY The Weston Electrical Instrument Company was founded in New Jersey in 1888. The company was a pioneer in the manufacture of electric measuring instruments and developed the first accurate and portable voltmeters and ammeters. At one point in time. Weston was the world's largest manufacturer of electrical measuring instruments. The company was awarded over 310 patents and was commissioned to illuminate the Brooklyn Bridge. Founder Edward Weston was a competitor of Thomas Edison. Examples of Weston instruments are found in many technology-oriented museums. Including the MIT Museum, The Radio Museum, The Smithsonian, and The National Institute of Standards and Technology. DESCRIPTION This is a vintage Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation D.C. Voltmeter Model No. 45. The device carries various patent dates on the attached metal ... moretag. The latest being July 16, 1901. This is a transportable device that is housed in a beautiful tiger oak case. There is a thick leather carry handle and rubber feet. There is a latch that you undo in order to flip the top back and reveal the voltmeter dial and certification sheet. The meter window is glass. The wooden housing measures about 8” X 8” X 5.5" This is an early piece of the history of the electrification of America. The device really captures a moment in history and is graceful in appearance after all these years. CONDITION This item appears to be in VERY GOOD CONDITION. I don't know how to test it. All three units have scratches in the wood, some are superficial and some are pretty deep. Also the rubber pads are starting to dry and crumble. the leather handles are worn and there is engraving and residue on them. One unit is from 1945, one from 1959, and the third is from 1967. Vintage Weston Electrical Instr. Electrodynamometer AC/DC Volt Meter Standard Model 341 in a Wood Case. Chart says Date of Nov. 2 1945. Measures 75 V. 150 V or 300 V ranges DC& AC 25 to 1000 Hz. Accuracy said to be ¼ of 1% of Full Scale. Resistance at each range is 1098.4, 2196.8, 4393.6 at 25 Deg. C. 75 V terminal knob was replaced. Crack in Bakelite at upper right of panel at +/ terminal has no effect on the instrument. Some scratches on the box. Leather on handle is strong but outer layers flaking. Wt is 11 lbs 6 oz.

Vintage Weston AC Amp Meter Model 156 100 amp
Up for auction is a vintage Weston AC amp meter with 100 amps full scale. It is a model number 156 with serial number 58413. I used a AA battery to test it and it did deflect the needle but do not know about the calibration. This meter has Patent dates of June 1892. July 1894 and April 1913. The face Measures approx. 6 1/2" across and the back flange is approx. 7 1/4. The meter is 3" from front to back with the 1/2" studs for the connection extending another 2" The meter itself weighs in at almost 7 pounds. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. This listing is for the lot of vintage meters seen here. I don't know anything about them and have no way of knowing if they work or not. They will come to you as you see them and will need to be cleaned. I didn't want to clean them improperly and damage them so I left them as I found them. The Simpson is a model 260. The Kalvinator is model 2024nk. The Weston looks like it says model 250 but the numbrrs are too small to see and I not 100 percent sure on that. Comes with a leather case. This is a Vintage Weston Model 633 Clamp-on Amperes Meter. It is used and some what old it looks to be in good shape. I haven't found any cracks or breaks it is a little dirty from storage. I bought it at an estate auction. I have not used it or tested it. So I am selling it as is but I see no reason why it wouldn't work. If you have any questions let me know and thank you for looking. Vintage Weston Model 301 Ammeter. This is a vintage ammeter made by Weston in Newark. NJ. It measures between 0 to 200. The unit itself measures 3 1/4" across. It is used. I do not know if it is working, but everything seems to be in working shape. Vintage Military Weston Thermo Voltmeter Electrical Model 622
Vintage Thermo Voltmeter. Model#622, by the Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation. It appears to be in good vintage condition, with some cosmetic wear, however the internal condition is unknown. I do not know if it works as intended or indeed at all. The serial number is 11308. The numbers on it are: BAC 55342 and AE 1-072 The face reads: VOLTS A.C. D.C. with a meter going between 0 and 5 I'm selling this item AS IS. Due to the fact that I don't know the internal condition.
