Vintage Weston AC Amp Meter Model 156 100 amp
Up for auction is a vintage Weston AC amp meter with 100 amps full scale. It is a model number 156 with serial number 58413. I used a AA battery to test it and it did deflect the needle but do not know about the calibration. This meter has Patent dates of June 1892. July 1894 and April 1913. The face Measures approx. 6 1/2" across and the back flange is approx. 7 1/4. The meter is 3" from front to back with the 1/2" studs for the connection extending another 2" The meter itself weighs in at almost 7 pounds. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. A Weston'low voltage' 12v Volt Meter. Actually a 15v volt reading. A rare find. It works perfectly well and is accurate. As you can see from the photo's, it was hooked up to a 12v power supply. Mounted in it's own wooden case, in decent condition, and has it's original hardware. With everything digital these days, this adds a bit of character to the work shop.

Vintage WESTON MODEL 961. A) scale METER in excellent working and cosmetic condition. Inspection reveals no scraping or scratches on terminal bolts, indicating this was never installed. Was tested only by surface contact and gauge reads accurately. The meter is illuminated by two 6 volt lamps. Made from Black Bakelite, Bakelite is another name for resin. An early form of plastic. Today, objects made from Bakelite are considered highly collectible. Although in its glory days of the 1930s and 1940s, it was seen as an inexpensive alternative to high-end jewelry materials such as jade and pearl. Dimensions: 4” tall x 4¼” wide x 1” deep.

Weston Electrical Electric Volt meter Model 45 vintage antique Pat Nov. 8 1888
Here is a real old vintage meter. It was made by Weston Electric in Newark NJ. USA. The pat. date is Nov.8 1888. For as old as it is it is in fairly good shape. I don't know if you would call the face brass or not. It is a heavy metal like brass but has more of a chrome color to it with may be a little brass in it.One of the little rubber feet is missing for when you set it up the one way. This would make a good display piece.It is not very often you find them as old as this.The meter goes to 140 volt. It can read positive or negative. I put 14 volts to it and the needle did move. The I reversed the polarity and the needle moved the other way. I believe it is in working order.I think the case is oak. it all most looks like Tiger Oak. Feel free to email questions or comments.
