Stuff I bought cause it looks cool and is of no use to me at all. this is a pretty old multimeter. It has various coils that can be attached to give various ranges of amp measurements stored under the lid on the left, and the scale for amps is on a hexagonal prism that can be rotated to pick the appropriate scale. Vintage Simpson 392 AC/DC VOLT-WATTMETER: This Vintage circa 1950’s AC/DC VOLT-WATTMETER is used and in excellent physical and working condition. It has come from an estate of similar era meters and test equipment(see our other eBay items) The AC/DC Volt- VOLTS-METER has a dual wattage range of 0-1000 and 0-5000 AC/DC watts and a dual voltage range of 0-130 and 0-260 AC/DC volts. It features two switches one for watts and one for volts to change the scales. This meter has the owner’s name scratched into one side and otherwise it is in exceptional condition. This meter comes in its original fitted box which has a tear and a worn corner on the front top edge. The rubber leads attached to the meter are in excellent condition and the clasp and handle on the box are in very good condition. This is a vintage General Electric clamp-on a m meter and voltmeter with a rotating scale in working used condition. It comes with its original leather case in somewhat rough shape but serviceable. The leads have been soldered to the base of the meter- don't know if this was original or a modification. But have just tested them and they do function. This is a heavy duty piece of equipment. Vintage Weston Electrical Instr. Electrodynamometer AC/DC Volt Meter Standard Model 341 in a Wood Case. Chart says Date of Nov. 2 1945. Measures 75 V. 150 V or 300 V ranges DC& AC 25 to 1000 Hz. Accuracy said to be ¼ of 1% of Full Scale. Resistance at each range is 1098.4, 2196.8, 4393.6 at 25 Deg. C. 75 V terminal knob was replaced. Crack in Bakelite at upper right of panel at +/ terminal has no effect on the instrument. Some scratches on the box. Leather on handle is strong but outer layers flaking. Wt is 11 lbs 6 oz.

This gauge does work and the needle does move when a voltage is applied. But I believe the shunt resistor is bad, I put a 3volt battery on it and it read 51volts. Sold as is for parts not working. Up for auction is a vintage Weston AC amp meter with 100 amps full scale. It is a model number 156 with serial number 58413. I used a AA battery to test it and it did deflect the needle but do not know about the calibration. This meter has Patent dates of June 1892. July 1894 and April 1913. The face Measures approx. 6 1/2" across and the back flange is approx. 7 1/4. The meter is 3" from front to back with the 1/2" studs for the connection extending another 2" The meter itself weighs in at almost 7 pounds. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Weston AC Voltmeter Model 433 Vintage
I am guessing this is a model 433. I found what looks to be an identical piece on Ebay(listed for $89. Holy cow! That one is listed as a model 433. I can find no markings on this unit. No instruction book either. Found this is my Dad's basement about 10 years ago. Not sure if Dad used this when he worked for ComEd. I don't know if it works. If you email me instructions on how to set up wiring, I can test and send pictures. I have no reason to believe it doesn't work. I just don't like electricity and don't want to blow something up. It comes with the original case. I think it's leather. The buckle and the strap is intact. It has some tape on the lid(I think Dad put this out on a lawn sale) and some paint on the side. The voltmeter looks like anything would being old. Some scratches, scuff marks, the missing rubber ... morefoot, and a chip on the corner of the casing.
