It was manifactured in(then) Czechoslovakia by"Metra" Blansko- one of the leading manufacturers of measuring instruments, along with"Tesla"Brno. It was a part of my collection. Vintage Lot- Weston Model 45- Voltmeter& Ammeter- In Oak Cases- RARE WW2. Up for auction is a lot of two(2) Antique/Vintage Weston Model 45 Meters. One is a Voltmeter. The other is an Ammeter. Both items are in extremely beautiful condition, and are truly some awesome surviving remnants of America's past, specifically its participation in World War 2. Both units are still equipped with the original documentation which they came with. The Voltmeter is dated November of 1921 while the Ammeter is dated May of 1937. Similarly. Both units are stamped on the outside of their wooden case with Serial/Model numbers, as well as the Manufacturer's information and the patent dates, the most recent of which is 1901, while the oldest is 1888. The meter has not been tested but was given a detailed inspection. The glass lens on the meter is broken. Only half of the glass is present. One knob is missing on the front. All of the buttons and knobs turns smoothly. The needle on the scale bounces and moves smoothly. This meter contains tubes. All 3 tubes were removed for testing(1) 12AU7(2) 6AL5) They tested good and was placed back into the unit. The power cord has been previously removed( don’t know why) The unit appears to be in good shape. There are no burn marks or smells emitting from the unit. No operators manuals or test leads. They are missing. Excellent edition to any vintage radio collector and or radio/component ... morerepairer. Vintage WESTON MODEL 961. A) scale METER in excellent working and cosmetic condition. Inspection reveals no scraping or scratches on terminal bolts, indicating this was never installed. Was tested only by surface contact and gauge reads accurately. The meter is illuminated by two 6 volt lamps. Made from Black Bakelite, Bakelite is another name for resin. An early form of plastic. Today, objects made from Bakelite are considered highly collectible. Although in its glory days of the 1930s and 1940s, it was seen as an inexpensive alternative to high-end jewelry materials such as jade and pearl. Dimensions: 4” tall x 4¼” wide x 1” deep.

Rare vintage Heathkit Vacuum Tube Volt Meter VTVM IM-32 inc manual
I've enjoyed owning this rare vintage meter- it took me back to the 60's when I first started dabbling in electronics. But now beside this I have a couple of moving coil meters, a digital Fluke and my O-scope, so I can manage without this. It's in good shape and looks to have been nicely assembled. The original owner made neat marks with a soft black pencil in the included assembly manual as he checked off each stage. Prior to listing. I check calibrated the Ohms ranges at 100 ohm and 2.2k- scroll through the last four photos before the manual photo and you can see it's good. I couldn't get the DC volts scale to calibrate. It appeared to read about 70% of the actual value, connected to the red and black terminals, not the center and black terminals. I don't have the time to troubleshoot or adjust further. You are bidding on Vintage and RARE Ampere meter. This particular meter was manufactured by the H.J. Gorke company out of Syracuse. NY. I was not able to find out much about this company except that it was in business at least from the 1910's through the 1920's- which is what I believe this meter to be dated to. The meter is in really nice shape- the glass is good and the exterior is really nice- no major scuffs or scratches. Not 100% sure if the meter works- but appears that it would. This piece includes a small pouch that the meter would go in and the box. The box is in really nice shape- label nice and clean- shows H.J. RARE VINTAGE GENERAL ELECTRIC AMP METER IN BLACK BAKELITE CASE * 0-5A AC *WORKS
A beautiful and rare Vintage Laboratory Electrical Meter. Made by General Electric of America with nice GE logo on the case and the meter scale. This is an amp meter(ampmeter) with a range of 0-5A AC at 25-125 c/s as per its markings. The black bakelite case is in very good condition for its age. Just a few normal scratches/scuffs noticed, no cracks as far as we can see. Hinge in good condition. Working fine, the meter itself is very low series resistance(less than 1 ohm on my multimeter) and the non-linearity of the scale suggests this is probably a moving iron type movement. I would think with some tlc and bakelite polishing paste this will come up really nice and shiny! Tested on a low voltage transformer and series resistor it seems to be working but we cannot vouch for the calibration accuracy across the whole scale(no idea what it was ... moresupposed to be anyway) Will be shipped very well packed indeed with the usual"shorting link" added to dampen the movement during transit. This portable unit is being sold as is because it hasn't been tested. it needs 2 B batteries to test it. The meter is in fair cosmetic condition for its age with some rust along the sides. This unit has a serial number of 628525. This units is in good cosmetic condition with acceptable usage and wear marks. No burns or burn smells. Meter moves properly with no sticking that I noticed. Outer case is brown varnished wood. The exterior could use some refinishing. The glass on top of meter is in excellent shape with no cracks. There are 2 vintage test leads included. The insulation on the test leads is deteriorating. The wire inside is weak. The leather-carrying strap has rotted away. Upon researching the item its noted that this a vintage and rare item. For sale is a rare vintage Simpson model 373 DC milliampheres meter. There are a bunch of these old Simpson meters here on Ebay. But you will not find any like this one. It is in excellent condition for its age, with the original leads in very nice condition. The lid to the box has some damage, a couple of the corners are torn and one side has some paper torn off.
