Found in my father's estate are two vintage large Amp meters. About 5 to 6 inches. The Weston Meter is quite heavy. The Ziegler Meter is on a wooden base with three terminals and looks to be made of aluminum. The needles move but I don't know how to test them to see if they work. They will be sold as is. Near Mint aesthetically. Vintage matching pair of Sargent-Welch large, heavy-duty DC Voltmeters. They have an amazing clear. See-through viewing window that allows the user to view the needle movement. I have never seen any like them before or since. Especially as a pair. Each meter measures 6 5/8” x 6 5/8” x 2 1/8” I purchased these meters over ten years ago. And they have remained unused, packed in a box in my smoke-free home. They are untested. And I am not an expert on electronics, so I do not know whether they are working or not. I do not want to tamper with them. For fear that I may do more harm than good. They show very little signs of wear for their age. Only one spot that is slightly marred to the finish of one meter in the center and some other slight scratches to the finish commensurate with the age of these pieces. VINTAGE YEW JAPANESE ELECTRONIC TEST EQUIPMENT METERS I have not been able to determine an exact date for these pieces. But they appear to be mid century and possibly WWII era but again I can not confirm that. They were made by YEW(Yokogawa Electric Works) in Japan and the Volt/Amp meter has Japanese characters on the meter face. For the Volt/Amp meter. The meter movement is metal/glass and the base is made of a plastic or celluloid material. I did touch a battery to it and the amp meter portion will move the needle and appears to be functioning, but I did not get the volt meter section to work. It may be I did not connect it correctly or it needs a little tinkering to it but the meter movement itself appears to be in good condition. It has a model no. 31 written on it and measures 4.5" x 4.5" and weighs about 1 pound. For the Ohmmeter. ... moreI do not have a way to test it as ohmmeters require batteries and there are some leads inside the unit for connection a battery but I have no idea of what kind. It looks to be made of solid brass or copper and is a heavy piece. The meter movement looks good and is not frozen and there are two screw terminals at the bottom. The meter face says it is model 125 and it measures about 6" long and about 2.5" wide and weighs well over 1 pound. Together they make a really nice collection of vintage Japanese made mid century era electronic test equipment. I included photos with an old buffalo nickel to aid as a size reference and the nickel will be included with the items. This listing will include 2. Vintage, used, Simpson DC Panel Meters. One is a 0-5 Amperes& the other is 0-15 Volts. They have been tested and are in working and very good physical condition. The fronts measure 3 1/2" in diameter and they are 1 1/2" deep. P lease view all pictures. I try to take enough to give a good representation of condition& show exactly what you will receive.
