This item is a vintage SOS Automatic Decompression Meter. This came from an estate sale in Florida. Includes original box and instructions. I have no idea if it works or not. No way to test it and so please assume it doesn't work. It looks pretty clean for it's age, some scuffs and scratches on the item but not the plastic face of it- I don't even know how much, if at all, this was ever used. Looks to have been stored in the box for many years. The box is rough- cardboard sides are warped/smooshed/dogeared all over with some evidence of tape on cover. According to the instructions. The meter dimensions are 2" x 5 and 1/2" and it's weight is 5 oz. and the case is made of high impact black polystyrene and is anti-magnetic and anti-corrosive. Vintage Westinghouse- DC Amperes Meter Gauge- Model 420-GL. First of all. I am not mechanical at all and I have no idea what this device is used for. I am only reporting what is written on the face of the device. So, I will tell you what I see in layman's terms. The face covering is glass, the casing on the front and sides are hard plastic and could be Bakelite. There are 2 screw type things on the back with bolts. The face covering and the casing are in good condition. I do not see any issues. I have no idea if it works or not. It is about 4 5/8" x 4 1/8 across the front x 1 3/4" wide(not including the screws) NOTE: SHIPPING will be reduced if you live in a state close to Maryland. Wait for invoice from me to pay.

VINTAGE RCA UZ4238 DUAL TEST METER
This RCA UZ4238 is about 70 years old and was used to test audio amplifiers used in radio broadcasting facilities. One meter was for voltage readings and the other was for current. A tag on the meter indicates that the last time it was tested was in 1959. It was probably removed from service in the late 1960s. The cable is cloth covered and it has a telephone type plug. And is used for the current meter. There were separate probes for voltage readings but I do not have them. There is a push button on the side to change the meter scale to 0-10 mA. The case is made of black bakelite. Condition is pretty good considering the age. The individual meters were made by Weston. I tested the volt meter and it works. I didn't have an easy way to check current. Will pack and ship anywhere in the US for $12. Payment by PayPal.

It has various coils that can be attached to give various ranges of amp measurements stored under the lid on the left, and the scale for amps is on a hexagonal prism that can be rotated to pick the appropriate scale. It is in great condition with no scratches or marks. The battery is still in it and has no corrosion. This was a bench meter and kept in nice shape. It comes with the AC-DC probe. The meter window is almost completely clear and crack-free. Sorry. I don't have the manual but you can find scans online. I don't know enough about these to fully test or calibrate it, so I'm selling it as-is. The housing appears to be Bakelite and the face is clear plastic which appears to show very little to no age discoloration. There is no label or identifying serial number on the housing. There are two serial or identification numbers in fine print on the face near the bottom. They are 500R106 and0-4787P. The meter is functional I tested it with a low voltage battery. As the power source I had was at the maximum end of the scale ... moreI cannot tell you the accuracy of the readings. There is an adjustment screw on the face so if you had a reliable power source of known voltage you could likely set or adjust the meter. Please note there are no cable or leads with the meter. To test the meters functionality I made a pair of leads from sire soldered onto nails; the nails fit nicely into the ports on the top of the meter. The ports were for different scales. One port is black and reads negative[ The three other ports are red and are labeled 50. 500, and 1000. There are corresponding scales on the face of the meter. On the back side of the meter are two deep holes which likely have screws at the bottom. My guess is that if one wanted.One could take this little guy apart. I don’t want to as I would probably ruin it. Destroy it functionality, and never get it back together. I cannot date the meter precisely but I would guess that it is most likely from the middle 1960s. That was a time when I was futzing around building crystal radios and such and my dad was working as an electrician and would bring stuff home for me. DC Volts, Ohms and DC MA. This was an estate find. So I don’t know too much about this piece, or if it even works. I don’t have the proper tools or know-how to test it so I am auctioning it strictly AS-IS. This piece can use a good light cleaning.
