Everything is fine on this meter and it looks like it has been well cared for. The original leather handle is attached and in super shape. All the rubber feet on the back and bottom of the meter are in fine shape. I plugged this meter on my calibrator and it was working within a few percent on all three ranges. This is a vintage set of Weston Model 528 Voltmeter and Ammeter. They are previously used but have not been tested to see if they are currently in working condition. They were first produced in 1929 and these particular models feature Bakelite cases. The Voltmeter measures up to 150 volts. The Ammeter has a low range of 0-3 amps and high range of 0-15 amps. Here is a real old vintage meter. It was made by Weston Electric in Newark NJ. USA. The pat. date is Nov.8 1888. For as old as it is it is in fairly good shape. I don't know if you would call the face brass or not. It is a heavy metal like brass but has more of a chrome color to it with may be a little brass in it.One of the little rubber feet is missing for when you set it up the one way. This would make a good display piece.It is not very often you find them as old as this.The meter goes to 140 volt. It can read positive or negative. I put 14 volts to it and the needle did move. The I reversed the polarity and the needle moved the other way. I believe it is in working order.I think the case is oak. it all most looks like Tiger Oak. Feel free to email questions or comments.

1937 Weston Electrical Instrument Corp Amp Meter Model 430 w/ Zero Correct Works
This item is a Weston Electrical Corporation D.C. Amp Meter. Model 430. The meter still functions perfectly. It has a Zero Correction Knob, as well so you can calibrate it to fit any of your needs. The four knobs on the top are for Ground, 0.1 V, 1V, and 10V source measurements. The first calibration shown for the device was August 28th, 1937! It was used in a physics lab until recently, and has been maintained and calibrated during that time by the department's equipment curators. It is great little meter, and a piece of history. They don't make them like this anymore.I bought a multimeter a couple years ago and it is already broken. This beauty is still accurately measuring amperage after 77 years! It may need a little bit of external cleaning. I believe the exterior is Bakelite, so you can shine it up, quite brilliantly, with some ... morelightly abrasive metal polish. I have a few of these meters that I have collected over the years. Which are now collecting dust. So I am putting several of them up for sale to good homes. Please only purchase this item if you plan to use it as a museum or even simply as a conversation piece. While I appreciate the artistry of the Steam Punk movement. I would feel a tinge of sadness knowing that this item was dissected for its"old timey" parts. This is a beautiful antique piece that was designed to test the voltage of various electronic equipment. This piece was made in 1918 by the Weston Electrical Instrument Company in Newark. New Jersey. The piece is built into a beautiful wood case(likely oak, but we're not certain) with brass latches and hinges. The case opens up to reveal a lower panel with the original company paperwork tag that gives details on usage and the range it can measure. The top part of the interior is a textured metal panel with the volt meter in the center. Just below the badge is a"Correction" mechanism which allows you to calibrate the machine. This is a beautiful antique piece that would be great for any collectors of antique electronic equipment! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. The piece has not been tested and we cannot confirm if it works or not. The wood case has some wear from use and age. Including some scratching, light dents and and chips in the wood.I believe there was another cap on the negative side at one time, no longer there. The interior is relatively clean with some light tarnishing from age and some fading and discoloration on the paper label from age. There may have originally been a leather handle on the exterior, but that piece is not included. Overall this is in nice condition for its age, and has a nice antique patina which gives it a classic look. This ammeter is in good physical condition. The four feet that used to be on the back of the unit are gone. The ones on the bottom are present. I have no way of calibrating an ammeter. Which would require a calibrated current source(I do not have one) I assume the unit is in good order. It's been opened to calibrate it in the past. There is a stamp on the side(see pics) The handle is solid, but the finish is cracking(not unusual for something this old) The unit tests 0-15 mA; 0-150 mA and 0-1500 mA. Which will cover the majority of electronics needs. These are excellent for applications where you have to match tubes exactly. The Hickok 752 has a provision for a cathode resistor(self-bias) These units will show how much current is flowing versus grid voltage. You can even plot your own curves with something like this. I find these old pieces fascinating. I bought two of these at auction some time ago. Now I'm moving out of Victorian to a beach house and there just isn't enough room. Instruments such as this were used by trained technical/scientific staff for precision laboratory measurements of electrical current. And as secondary standards for calibrating other meters. The mirrored scale makes it easier to read the instrument to a given accuracy by enabling the user to eliminate parallax errors. This particular instrument was specified to be accurate to ±0.5% The instrument in housed in a 7" x 6-3/4" x 3-1/4" walnut case with a mahagony looking finish. It has a leather handle. It looks to have been opened up at some time and something was wiped off of the center and lower right of the face. The age and origin is unknown to me. Vintage Simpson Model 27 Electrical Meter
This is a vintage Simpson Model 27 voltmeter. Its rather peculiar because I haven't found another one like this. It appears to have been professionally made. But I haven't found another one like it. It says Model 27 on the meter face. This is originally supposed to be a DC meter, but it appears to have been modified to read both AC and DC voltage. The needle will move when voltage is applied to it, but don't know exactly how it is determined on the meter face. I took a lot of pictures, so maybe someone out there has seen one like this before. Offered for sale is a heavy old gauge or meter. There are several Weston Model 271 meters for sale on the internet. Some are called Ampere Gauge while others are called Kilocycle Meter. None is set up like this one. I do not know what it is or if it works. It might work since the needle floats freely from side to side when moved; however. This meter is sold as-is. The gauge fits in with the steampunk style. The pictures do a better job by showing condition but… there is some spotting behind the glass mostly on the left side. The case is aged, there are some scrapes. Regardless of the defects the gage looks antique and good. The back has marked terminals. KS 14469 is written across the face.
