There are no dents in the metal case. The Amp powers up with all 3 tubes lighting up. The transformer has the normal"low hum" indicating it is working. The 3 tubes are marked,1) 5Y3-GT(2) 6L6-CG,3) 6SL/GT. The Amp is 10-1/4"long,by 7-1/2 high by 6" wide. It has one special speaker plug but the attached cord is not in good condition.

1937 Weston Electrical Instrument Corp Amp Meter Model 430 w/ Zero Correct Works
This item is a Weston Electrical Corporation D.C. Amp Meter. Model 430. The meter still functions perfectly. It has a Zero Correction Knob, as well so you can calibrate it to fit any of your needs. The four knobs on the top are for Ground, 0.1 V, 1V, and 10V source measurements. The first calibration shown for the device was August 28th, 1937! It was used in a physics lab until recently, and has been maintained and calibrated during that time by the department's equipment curators. It is great little meter, and a piece of history. They don't make them like this anymore.I bought a multimeter a couple years ago and it is already broken. This beauty is still accurately measuring amperage after 77 years! It may need a little bit of external cleaning. I believe the exterior is Bakelite, so you can shine it up, quite brilliantly, with some ... morelightly abrasive metal polish. I have a few of these meters that I have collected over the years. Which are now collecting dust. So I am putting several of them up for sale to good homes. This ammeter is in good physical condition. The four feet that used to be on the back of the unit are gone. The ones on the bottom are present. I have no way of calibrating an ammeter. Which would require a calibrated current source(I do not have one) I assume the unit is in good order. It's been opened to calibrate it in the past. There is a stamp on the side(see pics) The handle is solid, but the finish is cracking(not unusual for something this old) The unit tests 0-15 mA; 0-150 mA and 0-1500 mA. Which will cover the majority of electronics needs. These are excellent for applications where you have to match tubes exactly. The Hickok 752 has a provision for a cathode resistor(self-bias) These units will show how much current is flowing versus grid voltage. You can even plot your own curves with something like this. None is set up like this one. I do not know what it is or if it works. It might work since the needle floats freely from side to side when moved; however. This meter is sold as-is. The gauge fits in with the steampunk style. The pictures do a better job by showing condition but… there is some spotting behind the glass mostly on the left side.
