Rare Nice Antique McIntosh Chicago Milliamperes Meter pat1891 Gauge Scientific
Milliamperes meter Made by the Mcintosh Battery and Optical Co. Chicago. Patent date OCT 6. 1891. This appears to be a fully functioning device which is comprised of a floating needle positioned above a circular scale with upper case A at one axis and uppercase B at the other. And various configurations of numbers circling the circumference. The needle seems to prefer a east west orientation. It has three adjustable(screw type) legs, Three connection points(screw type) marked A.B, C and a needle lock(button slides to lock/unlock) It's enclosed in a metallic case(probably nickel. Plated brass) and sits atop a wooden base. the base is an integral part of the device) Devices of this type were used by some medical practitioner's. In early 1900's.

Shown is a nice old' ANTIQUE VOLT/ AMP DOUBLE METER' Brass housing with an aluminum back plate. 7" x 3 3/4" x 2 3/4 inches. Maker marked to the' Roller Smith Co. Bethlehem. Pa USA' I have no way of telling if this is in working order- could still work perfectly. But selling as a display item. Both needle move when the meter is moved. There is an internal light bulb- see photo. Paper label on the back has what appears to be a date of 89' or 09' which looks to be about the right time period. Nice looking instrument. For auction is a rare early example of a volt meter/tester produced by the HICKOK Electrical Instrument Company. Based out of Cleveland. Ohio. This volt tester comes with the original cables. The box is composed of a cherry red stained wood case. With brass screws, brass knobs at the front. All original. There is a crack in the glass. But otherwise in really good condition. Brass plaque could use a buffing to brigten it up and make it a bit more easy to read. Very sturdy. Well made box, and the instrument is SECURE in it, no wobbling or movement. Handle appears to be a WRAP of some sort. But it is strong, and I have seen these before with similar handles, so original. Looks old. Antique Vintage Milliampere Meter Wooden
Up for auction is an antique wooden milliampere meter. It's difficult to establish the age of this item but I'm assuming that it's rather old. Likely early 1900s. I was unable to identify any brand markings on this meter making it a unique piece. The leather handle is still intact although it is dry. There is some wear on this item as seen in the pictures. I'm not sure whether or not it's in working condition so I listed it under"for parts or not working" just in case. If you have any questions let me know!

Weston Electrical Electric Volt meter Model 45 vintage antique Pat Nov. 8 1888
Here is a real old vintage meter. It was made by Weston Electric in Newark NJ. USA. The pat. date is Nov.8 1888. For as old as it is it is in fairly good shape. I don't know if you would call the face brass or not. It is a heavy metal like brass but has more of a chrome color to it with may be a little brass in it.One of the little rubber feet is missing for when you set it up the one way. This would make a good display piece.It is not very often you find them as old as this.The meter goes to 140 volt. It can read positive or negative. I put 14 volts to it and the needle did move. The I reversed the polarity and the needle moved the other way. I believe it is in working order.I think the case is oak. it all most looks like Tiger Oak. Feel free to email questions or comments.

Measures approximately 7-1/4" in diameter. Very solid, no cracks or scratches in the glass. It's a great piece of Electrical History.

Overall condition is very good with a nice clean legible face, good meter case with nice original black paint finish. Diameter is 3 3/4 inches front, 4 inches rear and depth, 1 3/4 inches.

Antique Hickok Volt Meter Model 14-B with probes
Antique Hickok Voltmeter Measures approx. 5+1/2" tall by6+3/4" wide by 3" deep. Condition wise pretty good. No cracks or breaks in either the case or glass covering the meter. Meter face is clean and clear. Mirror is unbroken and clear. Needle floats freely. The leather handle is not attached to the lower part of the case(see pic) Case is scuffed up and scratched as shown in pictures. Brass plates all attached securely. Both anode caps are attached and screw on easily. The probes outer wire insulation is deteriorating(see pics) and in poor condition. Didn't test the unit but I suspect it works.
