This is a vintage General Electric clamp-on a m meter and voltmeter with a rotating scale in working used condition. It comes with its original leather case in somewhat rough shape but serviceable. The leads have been soldered to the base of the meter- don't know if this was original or a modification. But have just tested them and they do function. This is a heavy duty piece of equipment. This is slightly used and is in excellent condition. The owners initials have been removed from the end so there is a 1/2" by 1 3/4" mark where the initials were removed. This is a Simpson Model 153-2 Amp-Clamp. It must used with a digital AC voltmeter(not supplied) you cannot directly read amperage with instrument. This has leads that plug into an AC Voltmeter. It outputs.1 volts AC per amp. It has 3 selectable ranges 0 to 2 amps, 0 to 20 amps and 0 to 200 amps.This was used only a few times by a private owner, it was not used commercially. Amprobe RS-300 Analog Clamp-On AC Volt Ammeter 0-300A 0-600V w/Case and Probes
This is a used Amprobe RS-300 Clamp-On Rotary Analog Volt Ammeter with case and 2 sets of probes. It has voltage ranges of 0-150/300/600 and amps ranges of 0-6/15/40/100/300. It is tested working. I attached it to a HP 6920B Meter Calibrator and all voltage ranges were very accurate. I tested the amps ranges by clamping of the battery cables of my car and cranking the engine. Although I did not have another way to verify the readings it appeared to be consistent across all ranges. The needle moves smoothly and the dial moves easily between the ranges. The pointer lock button hold the needle securely. The unit is in very good to excellent condition with normal minor wear and some engravings with a previous owner's name. The case appears to be made of leather and is also in very good condition with only minor wear. The latch close tightly ... moreand securely. There a previous owner's name written on the outside of the case in some type of marker. The name may be able to be cleaned off but I did not want to take a chance of damaging it. It has two sets of original leads and one set of alligator clip ends. i am also including a copy of the manual(not original. I tested it with a 75 watt lamp as the current load and it measured it fine- I didn't have a higher current device with a single wire I could clamp it on handy.
