Up for auction is a vintage original Wico EK Magneto in overall excellent original condition with nothing broken or missing. This magneto was removed from a running engine and I have had it sitting on a shelf. Dry stored and humidity controlled for about 30 years as a spare. I am cleaning out surplus parts and this magneto is being offered in AS IS ORIGINAL CONDITION, as I have not tested it since it was removed. Here is a decent looking Wico EK magneto for your hit& miss engine. Pot metal does have some pitting and corrosion. But the coils look pretty fair as well as the magnets and armature. It wouldnt suprise me a bit if this mag is 5 minutes of work away from being able to spark. I haven't messed with it though and it's being sold as is, for parts or get it working and use as is! Totally unmolested inside. I have purchased a brand new front cover and installed it as you can see. The magnetism is super and there is almost NO wear in the armature. I have owned probably over 100 EK's over the years and in all honesty this is one of, if not the nicest one I've ever had. This EK is just as good as brand new. This is a real nice original barn fresh 3hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is a throttle governed gas engine. It turns over nicely and has excellent compression even though it hasn't run for a few years. It has Wico EK magneto on it and also a nice large belt pulley. It has the original gas tank in it and it seems pretty solid. It has a very old repair on the rocker stand and on the fuel pump but both are fairly hard to see because the fuel pump is tucked under the magneto. the original muffler should probably be replaced as can be seen. This engine has a good amount of original paint and decals on it and more to be found under the grease. Judging by the overall wear on the moving parts of this engine. Especially the governor fork, it's a pretty low hour engine. It is on the original skids and although they have some ... morescars on them they also have most of the original lettering on them! It shouldn't take much work at all to make noise with this engine and it will be a very respectable original show piece! Wico EK magneto points bracket and mag trip
Up for sale is a points bracket and trip for a Wico EK magneto. The trip mechanism works fine with the points bracket. One screw had to be drilled out of the points bracket and the hole is slightly enlongated(see picture 2) but the screw will still hold the magneto together. Original WICO EK magneto I just picked up. Tested it on the bench and it sparked every time. All brass covers with stop button. Looks very clean around the bottom and was never rusty. Threaded mounting holes are perfect. Lead out tower looks brand new. Has the normal little dents and dings on the covers you would expect to see but other than that looks like a real nice magneto. This is an original wico ek magneto BRACKET and TRIP FINGER. I think they came off of a type 2 MASSEY HARRIS engine. Trip finger will work on other engines.
