Fuel Gas Tank for Hit Miss Stationary Gas Engine Round old tin tank Weber Marine
This offering is for a nice old fuel tank for some old hit miss stationary gas engine. In a quick glance at the Big Yellow Book I noticed several engines using a tank apearing to be similar to or the same as this tank. Dimensions are as follows 7"X7" The fill plug which is not loose is 3/8" and the outlet bung is 1/4" with a 1/4"X1/8" reducer in it. I can not see any holes. But if there are any a quick coating of tank sealer would take care of the issue. The main issue I see is a area on an edge that took a hit. You can see it in one of the pictures. The dent is on the bottom so at least it will not be facing up. Other wise as you know finding good old tanks like this is getting harder every day. Keep in mind that if you want an original looking tank on your engine that its hard to find a tin man let alone getting ... morethem to make a tank in the old styles any more with all the old style flares and lips and so on. New-Way 3 HP ?? Stationary Hit & Miss Gas Engine Gasoline Steam Vintage
This is a somewhat rough New-Way engine that I saved from being scrapped recently. I can find no serial number plate on it anywhere so I am guessing that it is of about 3 to 4 horsepower or so. The flywheels on this engine measure 24" in diameter. It appears that it went through a fire many years ago that melted out the babbit main bearings. The crankshaft appears to be bent a bit because the flywheels are about 2 inches closer together at the top than they are at the bottom. Restoring this engine will be a big task but it can be done. I figure it will be most useful for a parts engine. The flywheels. Base, cylinder, connecting rod cover, magneto mounting base and magneto drive gears appear to be useable. I will add more information soon. New-Way 4 HP Model J Stationary Hit & Miss Gas Engine Gasoline Steam Vintage

It has cloth wrapped EISEMANN PLUG WIRES AND NEW PLUGS. The engine was tested to be fine. The original gas tank was cleaned. The paint and decal is good and there is no damage. Flywheel is solid and has no cracks. Because of the age of this engine I am selling without warranty. ANTIQUE 1934 MAYTAG RESTORED 92 GAS ENGINE HIT MISS WRINGER WASHER STATIONARY
Up for bid is a very nice Maytag Model 92 11- 111 Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial# 557534 stamped on it which was in production in May. 1934. I have been restoring these engines for over 10 years now and I sell a lot of them. I also used to restore Maytag ringer washers and put Maytag motor's on them as well. This engine was completely taken apart and sand blasted and bead blasted clean and painted with DuPont Maytag original color code. I take a lot of pride in these motors and I like to do a little extra detailing like the lettering and some of the numbers as you can see in the pictures, I think it makes the motor's stand out better. The flywheel has very little pitting as you can see in the picture but will not affect the performance of the engine. Lots of people like to take the same pictures as I do and try ... moreto confuse the buyer. I don't like the way they do things but I have no control of that. But I put my own trade mark on my engines then I know it is on that I restored proper. You can see this engine is complete and not missing any parts such as the pulley or air cleaner or kill switch. It has new rings, condenser, spark plug wire with new ends, new spark plug, caution plate and kill switch. I also honed out the Cylinder jug. Magnet ring was recharged as well and throws a real nice hot spark. This engine has been restored and freshly painted and the tank and top plate was sealed so it will not rust again. I do not paint the flywheels like some people. After putting it all back together I ran 1 tank of fuel through it and it runs just fine. Detailing with the correct decals finished it. I cannot put a warranty on these motors do to the age of them BUT I will guarantee it will run great for you when you get it and keep running well. I have sold a lot of motors and washers and never had a complaint yet. All it needs now is fuel and you can start it with your hand, it is that easy to start. But after that number they took this cannister. There is a minor variation of this filter with out the set screw. We have them too. BRASS BODY WEBSTER MAGNETO M1 HOT GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS STATIONARY
This is a nice original BRASS body WEBSTER MAGNETO Type M1. Brass body and brass end plates so you dont have to worry about cracking metal like the pot metal magnetos. Original studs in the bottom and the threads are perfect. Bolt pattern is 2" wide and 1 1/2" deep. Has the original brass band over the magnet stamped M1 which is 1 1/2hp hercules but this one came off a small ALAMO and it will fit many others. No cracks. Breaks, or welds. Original springs and rollers. I tripped it while it was on a mag bracket and it did produce a spark at the points. Trip finger on the back is stamped K2. Taylor Vacuum Hit and Miss Engine.This is an earlier model. There is a Taylor registry and there are right at 100 engines listed,90 of them have a serial number higher than this one(4 digit see photos) I can find no cracks,breaks or repairs except the rocker shows a braze that is very old and is solid. The cylinder seems good with most of the compression going out the exhaust valve.Nothing is stuck but the valves will need attention.The carburetor is there and so is the needle valve.Looks like all the trip parts for the missing Wico are there. I have for your consideration a 3 pack of Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Wheels. I was informed by a local gas engine expert that these were used with the"Gilson" line of engines. But would definitely look good on any cart you choose. The wheels measures 7 1/2" in diameter and has a 2" tread. The center hole is 1 3/8" The axle was probably 1" pipe as the OD of 1" pipe is 1 3/8" There are 3 wheels.2 are perfect and one has 2 seperate cracks.
