Old Webster JY IHC Famous Titan Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Steam Tractor HOT!!
This is a real nice original Webster JY magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one small ear of the body being chipped off. The piece is there and it would be tough to notice with a little space age adhesive. I didn't notice it when I took the pictures. This is a BIG magneto that has many applications in the gas engine world, most notably the big International Harvester Famous and Titan line. It mounts on a 2 1/2 x 2 13/16 inch bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. It has new springs and three new rollers on it. It has been recharged and puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It has the original leadout cover on it but it has some chips out of it. It has the ... moreoriginal name band on it. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings or on the trip finger and i don't think this magneto has seen many hours of use in it's day. It has the original hinged oil cups on it as well. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one this is a pretty nice one. I have up for auction a barn fresh webster JY1 used on bigger hit miss engines. Looks like it is missing the small square cover that goes on top of the body under the magnet. Mag moves freely not stiff or gummed up. I do not know weather it sparks cause I have no way to test it. It has 4 mounting studs on the bottom they are tight so I'm assuming the threads are ok. This is a bracket and a Webster magneto to mount on a 1¾ and a 2¼ hp Galloway gas engine. I put it in the vice and triped the mag with a screwdriver it and it provided a nice hot blue spark. The bracket looks like it has been used and the points look to have a lot of life left in them. This has the hard to find AMM magneto. This offer is for the Webster magneto shown. All the parts move freely but probably the whole thing needs to be cleaned. It was covered with oily sawdust. I tried cocking and tripping the starting lever. But did not see a spark at the breaker points. The points are opening and closing. There are no parts that are rusted tight. There is no damage or repairs. The bracket has two 17/32 holes, 2 3/8 inches apart. I have seen this same bracket listed for a Galloway engine. The whole unit is complete. This is real nice original WEBSTER MAGNETO M1 off of a 1 1/2. 1 3/4,or 2 hp HERCULES or ECONOMY hit and miss engine. It will work on many other engines that use an M1 magneto. This is one of the nicest looking M1 magnetos I have had. Studs are all nice and tight with the original nuts on them. Has the brass band. New springs. Not rusty. This mag is hot and I removed it from a running engine. Mag was starting and running the engine great. I have the bracket listed in another auction. There are n o cracks. Breaks, chips, or welds. This is an original complete push rod assembly with complete WEBSTER magneto trip off of a 1hp or 1 1/2hp Alamo. Empire, or Rock Island engine. This whole assembly is in great condition and shows very little wear. All complete and ready to bolt on and use. The rocker part is part number 9957. Everything is really nice and was never rusty at all. One side of the detent catch block has never been used yet. Everything moves and nothing is stuck. You wont find a nicer one. This is an original PUSH ROD with WEBSTER MAGNETO TRIP FINGER for a 1 1/2. 1 3/4. Or 2 hp HERCULES or ECONOMY hit and miss engine. Complete push rod with return spring. Roller is nice and spins freely but has one small flat spot. Complete webster magneto trip part number 345K30. No cracks, breaks, or welds. Nice looking push rod. BRASS BODY WEBSTER MAGNETO M1 HOT GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS STATIONARY
This is a nice original BRASS body WEBSTER MAGNETO Type M1. Brass body and brass end plates so you dont have to worry about cracking metal like the pot metal magnetos. Original studs in the bottom and the threads are perfect. Bolt pattern is 2" wide and 1 1/2" deep. Has the original brass band over the magnet stamped M1 which is 1 1/2hp hercules but this one came off a small ALAMO and it will fit many others. No cracks. Breaks, or welds. Original springs and rollers. I tripped it while it was on a mag bracket and it did produce a spark at the points. Trip finger on the back is stamped K2. This mag is hot! I tripped with a screwdriver and got a brite blue spark at the points! My dad purchased this mag years ago along with some other gas engines. It didnt fit any of the engines he bought, or any we have bought since. I believe it fits a nelson bros. 1 1/2 hp. little jumbo? i am not certain this is what it is for, or it may fit others. You are bidding on a very nice single bar brass Webster magneto. It is missing one spring. And the magnet. I've had probably over 20 magnets the last few years, of course I don't have one now, but they are easy to find at any good size engine swap meet, or here on ebay. The mag is in excellent shape other than that. These single bar brass websters are hard to find, and this one is in great, umolested original shape. Also, I'm throwing in a Hercules/Economy 1 1/2, and 1 3/4hp Webster bracket, 303M1. Somebody has spark plugged it, but all you would need to do it screw a pipe plug into it tight, grind flush, maybe build up the back a bit and machine your holes. NO welds or other damage to the bracket. Very easy hour of work for an amateur machinist, and you'll have a nice bracket, all you need is the stationary and movable electrodes, ... morehard to find them unwelded. If you have a 2 bar pot metal Webster with a bad housing, or worn brass mag, you could do nothing better than to switch all your part onto this mag. Nothing bad to say about what is here, you won't find nicer. Very costly to have worn websters rebuilt, and I'm my opinion this is just as good, or better, no bushings to ever spin or come out and no internal binding. This is one you won't regret buying later. Excellent studs, no cracks or corrosion in the body. Has one cracked magnet and needs springs, springs are available for 2-3 bucks a piece. Magnets can be found. Even with the cracked magnet, this mag is way above average for condition and wear. If you don't mind searching for a summer and grabbing a magnet at a swap meet, I think with a magnet and springs, this mag would be bolt on ready. You can tell it hasn't seen the elements! You are bidding on a nice. 2 bar brass Webster low tension magneto. It has pot metal endplates which doesn't hurt a thing, and you can switch them back to brass for cheap from many engine parts suppliers. There is a cracked magnet as you can see. The armature is stuck, but I would imagine it's going to be easy to free up, I haven't even attempted it, so it may even turn with a wrench. Brass body websters are not easy to find, and this one needs work, but these mags are almost fool proof, I've had probably a couple hundred now, and only one or two have needed a coil or a charge. If you don't want to pay major bucks for a rebuilt, don't let this slip by! One stud is missing but threads are excellent. 4 new studs wouldn't hurt. Front cover is pot metal, but back is brass. You can buy a brass cover for $15-20 if thats important to you. Top magnet is cracked, and armature is stuck. Brass Websters aren't easy to come by or cheap when you do find them. This one probably needs some soaking and tlc to get freed up and working. Very hard to find Webster magneto and igniter bracket for the IHC Famous or Titan 6.8,10 HP antique stationary gas engine. Webster magneto is the large J type mag and is the Poldlesak model. Mag is complete with tag on cover and is very hot. Bracket is loose with no welds 393J1 but has a bolt hole slotted and will need a roller and a little work. Igniter does have a bright blue spark at the points when magneto I tripped. Magneto will clean up beautifully and is all original. Sold as is

You are bidding on a very hard to find Webster M magneto. And original bracket for a Stover engine. I usually would separate the magneto and bracket, but the magneto and bracket are special to each other as you can see. The trip arm roller is mounted on the magneto instead of the bracket. This is a rare combo to find! It needs a little TLC, it's not ready to use. The movable electrode on the bracket is free, but the magneto armature is stuck. Needs some soaking and maybe a little heat. I see no cracks, chips, or repairs on the mag or bracket, which is pretty rare for a pot metal mag! If you need ignition for your Stover engine, here is your chance. You see the brackets pop up for sale on occasion, but finding the correct mag with the special side cover is very, very rare. You are bidding on a very nice all brass body. 3 bar Webster low tension magneto. It's totally complete, and in great shape. The name band does have a couple cracks in it, but it's still holding together. The only things you could say are missing are two of the spring rollers, and you can buy those brand new for just a couple dollars each. The armature is a little sticky, it probably just needs to be used, and I don't think this mag has been on an engine in many, many years. Studs are all in great shape, and the same length. The body is also in really good shape. If you want a magneto for a large engine and don't want to worry about corrosion, or cracking, this is it! These 3 bar brass Webster are few and far between! You are bidding on a very nice original Webster magneto bracket. That is correct for 1 3/4- 12hp Galloway engines. 303K16 part number. The bracket is in great condition, very little wear in the movable electrode and no cracks breaks or welds. Even has the correct, hard to find priming cup and a new return spring. Bolt spacing for mag is 2 x 2" This is ready to bolt to your Galloway engine, right out of the box. Points look excellent. They don't get much nicer than this! Feel free to ask questions. You are bidding on a very nice. Hot, 2 bar brass Webster magneto. Great looking studs, very little wear in the armature, and the body is in perfect shape. The band is not original. The previous owner has it on a nice restored engine, so he put a polished aluminum band on it so it would stand out. New bands are readily available new or used if you wish to change it back. You are bidding on a nice Webster magneto bracket for a 3-12hp Field Brundage engine. Most often tagged Sattley. This has a 2 x 2" bolt spacing. It is stuck, but judging by the traces of original paint, I don't think it will be hard to free up. There is one small crack on one of the supports, which should be easy to weld. I wasn't told about the crack when I bought it, so my loss is your gain. Other than the crack, it's in great shape, just needs a little tlc to free it up. Movable electrode shaft moves free, and has almost no wear. Roller for trip is stuck, shouldn't be hard to free up. Great looking points, no cracks, breaks or welds! You are bidding on a very nice. And hot 2 bar Webster low tension magneto. This mag is in excellent condition. Only thing missing is the cover that goes under the magnets and one spring roller, both items can be bought new. Studs are all there, and all have great threads. This magneto looks like it has never seen the elements, has no cracking or corrosion whatsoever. Produces a blue spark when tripped, I've seen better, but I think the spark is more than enough to run your engine. Hard to find these pot metal Websters in nice shape like this one! Nice original loose 2 bar magnet Webster hit and miss antique stationary gasoline engine magneto. Nice loose condition but has not been tested for spark.
