MAYTAG BALL MUFFLER. HOSE, FLANGE FOR MODEL 92. 72, OTHERS GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION THIS IS A GUARANTEED GENUINE MAYTAG CAST IRON BALL MUFFLER. COMPLETE WITH HOSE AND FLANGE. This would have been for a Maytag Multimotor, a model 92, 72, or possibly others. The hose on this one is long, about 96 inches to be more exact. There are no breaks or cracks. Some might ask why I am selling the muffler separate from ... morethe multimotor. There are three reasons: first. They came out of different estates, so this particular was never on the engine I am selling; second, not everyone wants this type muffler on their engine, and others already have an engine and are seeking only a muffler; and third, I operate on a rather thin profit margin, and I am not sure the muffler would increase the selling price on the engine anyway, more critical since I purchased them separately. Original Maytag 92 Ball muffler 7 ft. flex hose, adapter hit & miss gas engine!
Here for your consideration is an old Maytag ball engine muffler. Just over 7 feet of flex hose, and the hose to engine adapter with the number S 259 on it. As the pictures show it is a little rusty, the hose still has pretty decent flex and I do not see any breaks in the hose, I have laid it out and rolled it up several times but I do not want to try and roll it any tighter than the roll it is in now, about 24 inches. The muffler and adapter also look to be in real good condition, the old adapter bolts are junk. Thanks for looking! They did a really nice job and would look really nice on your restored engine. It is 1 1/4" pipe. 6 1/2" diameter. Vintage Cast Aluminum Ball Muffler Maytag Hit & Miss Gas Engine Engine Parts
Up for auction is a cast aluminum ball muffler. Please read discription and look at all pictures as they ars a part of the discription. Listed as used but maybe NOS, was going to beadblast it and paint it with high temp. black paint, but after opening it up I discovered there were no carbon or soot deposits in the muffler, pipe or flange, I dont think it was ever used. The muffler is 3 3/8" Long, 3" dia. and 5/16" wall thickness, overall length is approx. 4 1/2" 7/8" pipe. The flange is 3" long, 1 11/16" wide and mounting holes are approx. 2 1/4" center to center.
