2 VINTAGE MATCHING LARGE CAST IRON HIT & MISS ENGINE CART WHEELS-20" DIAMETER
Up for auction is a pair of two matching vintage original Hit& Miss Engine cart wheels that are 20" diameter with a 3" face and a 1 9/16" hub diameter. Each wheel has 10 spokes and there is rust and some pitting but no broken. Thin, or missing spokes. There is a piece out of one hub that is clearly visible in photo#4. These are extremely well made, heavy duty wheels and the one small piece missing in the one hub will not affect their use in any way and could easily be repaired. Old Original Sparta Economy Hercules Jobber Hit Miss Engine Cart Truck Steam
This is a real nice original jobber style engine cart or truck for a hit and miss gas engine. I believe it was used under the 1hp Sparta Economy and several others. It would look great under any 1-2hp engine and would certainly make moving it easier. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and includes the original pull handle. The wheels measure 8 1/2 inches in diameter with a 2 inch face. The wheels are nice and tight on the axles and the cart is ready to set an engine on and use it. 4 Antique Cast Iron Scale Wheels for Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart, 5 in, old vintage
Here is a great set of 4 matching antique cast iron wheels. They each have 6 spokes that curve slightly. Giving them an attractive look. These wheels are 5 inches in diameter with a 1 7/16 inch tread or rolling surface. The axle hole is 11/16 inches in diameter. When we got them they were rusty, but we have cleaned the rust off of them with a wire brush and buffing pad. A small amount of light rust remains in the center holes and in between the spokes. These wheels are embossed with PA13 on one of the spokes. They came off of an old industrial scale cart. They would be perfect for a hit and miss engine cart, antique machinery display, or industrial furniture project.

Hit and Miss engine with 2 cart wheels up for auction. It is a Hercules Economy Engine with a possible 2- 3 hp. The fly wheels move freely and the piston goes back and forth smoothly. 1 1/2 HP John Deere Hit and Miss Engine on Original Factory Cart
Up for sale is a nice little 1 1/2 HP John Deere hit and miss gas engine. This is a nice complete engine on the original factory cart. The original factory Deere carts are even rarer than the engines! I've sold these carts for $600-$700 before. But this one is in excellent condition and goes with the engine. The serial number is 319964 making it a 1930 model. I don't see any missing or broken pieces on this engine. No repairs that I can see. I also looked and didn't see any freeze cracks. That all being said, this engine is 83 years old and has to be sold as it due to the age. I turned it back and forth a little bit and the engine seems to be nice and smooth and tight(no knocks) but I didn't want to turn it over before the magneto and rocker arm/valves are loosened and oiled. I took this engine out of a shed where it had been ... moresitting for probably 40 years. It is a nice original barn fresh engine that would make an excellent project for someone. It shouldn't take a lot of work to have it up and going. The fuel tank even looks really good from the outside. About the only thing I can see that is worn is the pulley. It has some holes in it from having a belt wrapped around it and being wet, but it shouldn't hurt anything for just being a show piece. For sale a nice 11/2 hp Fairbanks Morse hit and miss antique stationary gas engine. Engine is loose and is an older restoration and was run a few years ago. But I have not tried to run it. Everything looks good and should run with little work. I could not find any visible cracks or welds. Motor is an early igniter fired engine that runs on battery and coil and has no magneto. Motor looks fairly complete and should make a nice show piece. Pulley has one rust spot on it but is usable. The cart is original fairbanks not homemade and has always been on the engine. Restored Domestic 4HP Hit Miss Engine with Pump on Factory Cart
This is 4hp Domestic hit miss engine that I restored. It is mounted on a factory cart with a high-pressure pump. I bead blasted the engine to bare metal. And primed with epoxy primer. The paint is PPG urethane single-stage. The cart was bead blasted and powder coated satin black. The rings and piston look to be factory. The main bearings are newer and very tight. I rebuilt the magneto with original coils, and the spark is very strong. The side shaft and all moving parts are not painted, they are covered in clear grease to keep them from rusting. The faces on the flywheels are nice but not 100% perfect. There are no cracks or welds on the engine. The high-pressure pump was repaired in the past, after the parts were bead blasted I went over every repair to make sure it was done well. The pump has a new piston and seal, the 4 pump plugs could ... moreuse some attention. I shot the video while the engine was cold, I have only ran the engine for about 2 hours since I finished the restoration. It runs great and sounds like a Domestic with lots of clicks and clatter. I think it could run even slower with some tweaking. Take a look at the photos for the condition of the pump parts, and if you have any questions please let me know. I enjoy repairing and restoring antique equipment, I think it's a privilege to work on machines that have been around for nearly 100 years. Stationary Engine Cart for Hit Miss or Perhaps Railroad Cart
This cart has cast iron axles and some cast on the wheels. The remainder of the cart is steel. It has been bead blasted and it has a light coat of grey primer. It is 53 inches long without the handle. 26 inches wide to the outside of the wheel tread, 17 inches tall, Handle is 50 inches long. It has the"Illinois G USA" on the angle iron frame as seen in the second picture. There is a crack in the rear angle iron frame as seen in the 7th picture. The person I got this from said it had a wood deck on it at one time and the some of the bolts that held the wood to the metal frame are in the plastic jar as seen in last(9th) picture. Other wise this cart is in excellent condition. I would estimate the weight of this cart at 80 or more pounds. WOW! Here is a rare pull behind trailer made of all steel and all original! Not sure of brand? There is a stamp on the tongue but not sure what it means. The tongue has a number#2317 L. Each wheel has a number#2313 L. Each wheel is 20" diameter. The tongue can separate from the axle and go on a Ball hitch. The axle has a ball on it that the front of the trailer sits on. Measurements are as follows: Width of the back outside of wheels is 53 1/2" wide. Front is 21 5/8" wide to outside of wheels. Length of trailer is about 5' long. The main area in the back to mount something on is 25" x 42 1/2" I am not sure if it had a hit miss motor on this or a buzz saw. The front wheels are offset for either one. Original FULLER JOHNSON Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Truck Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is an extremely hard to find original cart for a small Fuller and Johnson hit and miss gas engine. It has the original handle on the front axle. I'm pretty sure it has the original wood board on it but may have a few extra holes in it. The wheels measure 8 inches in diameter with a 2 inch face and all have the J482 part number on them. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and is ready to be put to use under an engine. This cart was used under the 1 1/2 and 2hp Model N engines from the factory and probably the Multi Motor and will work for any engine of the 1-2 1/2 hp size. This is a nice old 1 1/2 horsepower Fairbanks Morse headless Z gas engine. It is a true hit and miss gas engine. It turns over nicely and has great compression even though it hasn't run for a few years. It has the original crank guard which is almost always missing. Each of the mounting ears on the crank guard has a very well done old repair on them and they work the way they should. It has an authentic reproduction gas tank and muffler on it. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It is missing the fuel line which would be pretty easy to make or can be obtained from several of the hobby suppliers. It is ignitor fired and can be run with a battery and low tension coil. It shouldn't take much work at all to make noise with it! It is on the original cart that it left the factory on and the cart is in excellent ... morecondition as well. HIT MISS STAIONARY ENGINE/factory cart-nice one for sure!!
I bought this cart several; years ago and it was in bad shape. Cleaned it up. Repainted it, rebuilt the decking using 3/4" rock[sugar]maple boards screwed down on to 2" square rails using U.S. made stainless steel screws. Wheels have Zerk fittings, roll very easily, and have rubber on the rims which is great if you have a sealed blacktop drive way! The handle is bent as you can see but can be fixed if need be. It measures 47 1/2" long, is 23 1/2" wide. stands 14 1/2 high, and the handle with the tung is 45" long. This cart is extremely well designed and made and will be of good service for many years to come. I hate to have to sell this but find I must do so. Stover model T 4.5HP hit miss engine on cart - very nice original condition
Stover Model T hit/miss engine- tagged Bracket. Shaw, and Lunt. Dated from mid-teens. VERY nice original condition, all original paint, traces of original hopper decal visible, original brass tag there and 100% intact. Engines starts easily and will run all day. Fired by a Webster low-tension mag and internal points. Bearings are tight, compression is strong, engine sits on a heavy steel custom built cart with cast iron wheels. Water jacket and head had a minor crack in them, about 2" long. I v'd the crack out and drilled the ends, cleaned it with acetone, and patched the crack with Fasteel. Very hard to see, doesn't leak, doesn't affect the engine's function in any way at all. Has original muffler and period correct brass oiler, may original, but I have no way of telling. Original PERU WATERLOO Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Truck Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a very hard to find original set of horse trucks for a hit and miss gas engine made by the Peru Plow Company in Peru. Illinois. They were used under Waterloo engines and many other companies as well. The wheels measure 34 and 26 inches in diameter with a 4 inch face and are in great condition and roll very nicely. It is in great condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It needs new wood for the pole. It is is ready to be put to use under an engine just as it is. There is some pitting on some of the steel but nothing that takes away from it's functionality. The rails are 6 inch channel iron and are 13 1/2 inches apart to the outsides and 96 inches long. These can be adjusted in width rather easily. These trucks should work for a larger 4hp engine up to an 8 or maybe a 9hp engine. Factory trucks like these are pretty ... morehard to find in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance on it. It would certainly make moving your engine around easier! This is a very hard to find original cart for a small Sandwich hit and miss gas engine. I believe it is all original except the pull handle but this handle gets the job done. I'm pretty sure it has the original wood board on it but it has a few extra holes in it. The wheels measure 10 1/2 inches in diameter with a 2 1/8 inch face and are all cast iron. It is in great original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one wheel which has a pretty good old repair and could be dressed down a bit. It is is ready to be put to use under an engine just as it is. it has a nice old look to it and has lots of original grease and oil on it as can be seen. This cart was used under the 1 1/2 and 2hp Sandwich engines from the factory. It will work for any engine of the 1 1/2 to 3 or maybe 4hp size. This is an old LAUSON engine cart in very good condition. I can find no cracks. Breaks or welds. Just add your own rails and your in business. This cart has the 1 ½“ solid steel axles that are 32“ wide so it should handle a sizable engine. The rear wheels are 17 ½“ dia. X 2 ½“ wide and the fronts are 13 ½“ dia. X 2 ½“ wide. Original IHC McCormick Deering Model M 3 HP Hit Miss Engine Truck Cart
Old Original IHC International Harvester McCormick Deering Model M Hit& Miss Gas Engine Cast Iron Wheeled Engine Truck. This set had a 3 HP on it but the 1 1/2 HP IHC M also uses the same wheels and bolsters. This truck has the original set of wooden skid with lots of original green paint on it. Some of the original letting is still visible. Two boards on top are cracked from usage. Cast iron wheels are 9" Dia. with 2" face on front axle and 12" x 2" on back axle. Front axle wheels turn under skids which makes for tight turns. Handle is original. This cart would work for any brand of small stationary engine up to 3 HP. I have seen Fairbanks and Economy engines on these trucks. Farmers didn't care back then and they used anything that got the job done. Rare Fairbanks Morse Jack Of All Trades Hit And Miss Antique Gas Engine Cart
A very hard to find antique stationary gas engine cart or wagon. Cart has about 12 inch wheels with 21/2 inch face and are cast iron as shown in pictures. All castings are original and I could not find any cracks breaks or welds. Top wood is not correct but the back bolster is and still has some original red paint and looks in good shape. Wheels have some green paint. Wheels do have rust but all look good original. This cart should fit the Jack Junior engine.The smaller verticals type T engines and the 2 and 4 hp type H stationary motor. These carts are very scarce buyer can pick up or can ship via Fastenal. You are bidding on a very nice 5hp hit& miss Majestic engine. The engine looks to be in quite good shape. There are three negatives about the engine. One is it's missing the original carburetor, somebody has built a carb, from scratch, I'm sure it works fine. The correct carb for this would be a Lunkenheimer which can be bought new and used any day of the week for $75-$125. The other thing is the governor weights are homemade, somebody did a fabulous job making them, and I know they will work just as good, but they are homemade. The last thing is the governor yoke that holds the weights is welded in one spot. There is really nothing else wrong with the engine that I can see. The inside of the hopper is like new, no rust scale or pitting. The man I bought it from had antifreeze in the hopper, so I assume it runs, but I've never ... moretried it. Has the original ignitor and trip assembly. It it mounted on a good, heavy, well built cart with a nice handle to pull it around. Has the original nameplate, and it also has a cast brass grease cup on the rod. I believe the pulley is correct, or if it's not it will work just as good. The engine has a large straight exhaust stack on it, I'm sure it makes a nice sound when it fires. Take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself. Not an easy engine to find, and I'm sure it's not far from show ready, if it were mine, I would buy a Lunkenheimer for it though. I can store the engine here for 6 months for no charge, we are located 100 miles north of Detroit. You are bidding on a very nice cart for a 1 1/2hp Fairbanks Z engine. This cart is correct for dishpans. As well as the spoked flywheel Z's 1 1/2hp and 2hp. This cart is not factory made. I very knowledgable welder and machinist built this cart from scratch to an exact copy of an original cart. When I bought this cart with an engine on it, it took me a few weeks before I even noticed it wasn't factory made. He went to alot of trouble to make it, he rolled the wheels, made the spokes, bolsters, swivel in the front, the pull handle, etc. All welds look flawless, take a look at the pictures and you will agree. Hit & Miss Gas Farm Engine Cart Unknown Make Steerable Front Wheels AS FOUND
This is a cart from a Hit& Miss engine. It is in very good condition. I do not know what make it would be for but it would work well with an engine that is around 1 1/2 HP. This is as I found it. Green paint with yellow pinstripe. The front axle does not pivot to turn but has steerable wheels, a little different them most carts. No Reserve I am listing this with Local Pickup Only but if the Buyer wants to make arrangements I can strap this to a pallet and drop it at the Fastenal in Easton PA. I am also planning to go to the Snow Show at Jacktown and could bring it along. I live about 20 minutes from the show.

Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Wheels U113 Gilson Very Nice Heavy Oiler Stationary
I have for your consideration a 3 pack of Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Wheels. I was informed by a local gas engine expert that these were used with the"Gilson" line of engines. But would definitely look good on any cart you choose. The wheels measures 7 1/2" in diameter and has a 2" tread. The center hole is 1 3/8" The axle was probably 1" pipe as the OD of 1" pipe is 1 3/8" There are 3 wheels.2 are perfect and one has 2 seperate cracks.
