Waterloo Boy 2 H.P. Type H Hit and Miss Gas Engine, John Deere Engine
Up for auction here is a 2 horse power Waterloo Boy hit and miss gas engine. This is known as the John Deere built Waterloo Boy and has the JD cast in the block. There are no cracks breaks or welds I can find anywhere on the engine. It is not locked up but I have not had it running. It will need a new fuel line. It has the Wizard magneto. Both the mag and igniter are good. The magneto has been rebuilt by Adrians's Magneto Service out of Lancaster. MN. at a cost of $212.00 I have the receipt for the mag rebuild which will be included. This engine also has a good drip oiler, belt pulley, and will come with a tin crank guard that bolts to the engine block. There are 2 nice brass tags that are very readable. OLDS 4-1/2 Hp hit and miss gas engine mfg by R. E. Olds. Type A square hopper, unrestored, needs work. Reproduction carb, check valve, crankguard, nametag, muffler. Has had a chunk knocked out of the rear base, below the crankguard. The flywheel size is 24" rather than the standard 28-1/4" indicating an earlier model engine. It does have a pin on the crank main bearing cap, indicating it originally had a fuel pump there. Later OLDS did not use a fuel pump. Rather using a double check valve on the fuel line as this would now be set up. Shown without the base under it. I have the base/gas tank for it. Selling the Olds engine only. IHC McCormick Deering Type M Throttle Governed Gas Engine
Up for auction here is a nice all original IHC McCormick Deering Type M throttle governed gas engine. I see no cracks breaks or welds on this engine. From what I can read on the tag. The serial number is W11863. The only thing I found missing is the short gas line that connects to the fuel bowl. The mag is hot and produces a good spark. There is also very good compression. The engine has all of its grease cups, the oiler, and the hand crank. This engine will need to be picked up here in Epworth, IA. within 2 months after auction is ended. Webster Tri-Polar Oscillator Magneto Hit & Miss Gas Engine Type K16 For Galloway
This offer is for the Webster magneto shown. All the parts move freely but probably the whole thing needs to be cleaned. It was covered with oily sawdust. I tried cocking and tripping the starting lever. But did not see a spark at the breaker points. The points are opening and closing. There are no parts that are rusted tight. There is no damage or repairs. The bracket has two 17/32 holes, 2 3/8 inches apart. I have seen this same bracket listed for a Galloway engine. The whole unit is complete. This does not have spark. It turns over nicely with good compression. Very complete and tight little engine. Sorry that it has one mounting ear missing off the casting. This is an extremely hard to find original advertising sales poster for the International Harvester Type M engines. Unfolded it measures about 18 x 24 inches. It is in excellent original condition with no tears and only very minor wear. It shows the various features of the engines along with a few working photos of them. It covers all sizes. The 1 1/2, 3, 6, and 10hp's. It is very bright on the front side and would look great framed and displayed with your engines in your building or at the shows. I don't imagine there's many of these that survived the wood stove back in the day and they're certainly MUCH harder to find than the engines! The pictures tell the story. Up for bid is a nice old Maytag model 92 gas engine. This one is often referred to by collectors as the model 19. The distinguishing feature on the type 19 is the bolt on kick pedal part number S295. Starter segment part number S296, and starter segment guard partS 297 which has a caution plate riveted to it. According to the manual"Maytag Multi-Motor" I got from Larry Benton years ago there were only 8000 pieces of there S295 pedal made. This a very rare engine. Other parts on original engines include Short deep fuel tank S 279. S 232 cover for the fuel tank with recessed letters, screw on air cleaner, and ball oiler. I have owned this engine for many years in my collection of Maytags and it has always been heated garage kept under the work bench. I have never tried to even start it. This is a pretty decent original and barn fresh 1 1/2hp Type M International Harvester gas engine. It seems to be in pretty good condition but needs some restoration. It has a larger belt pulley on it with some old belt dressing built up on it. It is missing the magneto. Handhole cover and a few other small items. It has a homemade reproduction gas tank that looks great. The bottom of the fuel pump needs to be repaired or replaced. There is also a very old repair on the rocker arm. The engine is loose and shows very little wear on the governor fork. It should be a pretty straightforward restoration project and has some decent original paint on it yet. Original 1 1/2hp BRASS TAG JOHN DEERE Type E Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Magneto
This is a pretty nice original barn fresh 1 1/2hp John Deere Type E hit and miss gas engine. It is the early brass tag version and has the original serial tag and correct side cover on it. It is unmolested as can be seen. It has some original paint on it and I think there's more to be found under the grease. It turns over nicely and the exhaust valve is stuck open. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for POSSIBLY a crack in the bottom of the water jacket. It's very hard to tell and it isn't pushed out. It doesn't leak and if in fact it is a crack has probably rusted shut over time. It's very hard to notice. The engine has the factory cast iron belt pulley and muffler on it. The original gas tank looks to be in great shape as well. This should be a pretty straightforward project and ... morewill be a very respectable original engine when it's done. This is a real nice original barn fresh 3hp International Harvester Type M gas engine. It is a throttle governed gas engine. It turns over nicely and has excellent compression even though it hasn't run for a few years. It has Wico EK magneto on it and also a nice large belt pulley. It has the original gas tank in it and it seems pretty solid. It has a very old repair on the rocker stand and on the fuel pump but both are fairly hard to see because the fuel pump is tucked under the magneto. the original muffler should probably be replaced as can be seen. This engine has a good amount of original paint and decals on it and more to be found under the grease. Judging by the overall wear on the moving parts of this engine. Especially the governor fork, it's a pretty low hour engine. It is on the original skids and although they have some ... morescars on them they also have most of the original lettering on them! Original 20hp FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Gas Engine Type R Magneto Steam Tractor Ignitor
This is a very hard to find 20hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is a throttle governed gas engine. It spent it's working life in a Southeastern Wisconsin train depot. Judging by the wear on it I don't think it saw very much use and I think the depot was electrified shortly after it's installation. The gears are nice and square and there is hardly any noticeable wear anywhere. It was painted a few years ago and the project wasn't completed. It has the Fairbanks Morse Type R magneto on it and also the original crank guard which is almost always missing. It has the original gas tank in it and it seems pretty solid. The connecting rod is disconnected from the crankshaft so it could be moved around. The piston was out of it at the time it was painted. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know ... moreof. It has a nice factory clutch pulley on it. It also has a set of original wheels and axles with it that it would have came from the factory on. These need steel rails and some miscellaneous hardware to be complete but the major components are there. The engine itself is missing the fuel pump lever and the throttle rod but both of these should be quite easy to find or borrow to reproduce. The engine has the auxiliary water pump with it and the original drive pulley is seen on the inside of the pulley side flywheel. It shouldn't take very much work at all to make noise with it! These Fairbanks Z engines are very well built so if you're looking for engine to run something here it is! It surely would be a great attention getter at the shows! The can stay here for a while as long as it's paid for and I accept many forms of payment. I would like it picked up before Winter if at all possible. Thls oiler is in very good condition. They were made for mostly marine engines to lubricate the cylinders and bearings. They were custom made to meet your specs. Different sizes. Amount of oilers, mounts,bronze and or nickle plate. I bought this at the San Diego Aero Space Museum Rummage Sale from a box of airplane parts. I don't know why it was with airplane parts because it is to heavy for an airplane. I think it came off a ship. All the levers and glass sights are good. I think there should be a check valve ball at the end of the bottom glass sights but there isn't. Missing the name plate. As is and it is a beauty. Very nice wood filler cap. I have for your consideration a WEBSTER MODEL M Magneto. This mag has been completly rebuilt from top to bottom by a professional mag guy. It is the BRASS body version of the M and has also new front and rear end plates. The mag is meticulously restored to the original look. This mag will not give you any trouble for you lifetime. HARD TO FIND HOT TYPE R ACCURATE IHC MAGNETO HIT & MISS GAS ENGINE FARM L@@K!!!
You are bidding on a hard to find. Type R Accurate low tension magneto correct for IHC mogul engines, fits the 1hp, 1 3/4hp and 2 1/2hp. It is also correct for 6hp IHC M engines, but you would need to change the gear. The gear that is on it, is for the Mogul engines. There is a small chip where one of the flip oilers screws in. Also, the band has been soldered back together. The mounting threads in the bottom are perfect. The mag has some wear in the armature, it could probably use some new bushings. I tested it for spark and it does produce a nice blue spark, I had this mag on a Mogul engine and it ran the engine fine, only reason for taking it off the engine, was because I wanted a brass R, which I now have. This is an Original Fairbanks Morse Type R Magneto That Was Bought At Auction Of A Magneto Repairman/ Collector/ Restorer. I have no way to test It Properly. BUT, BY Spinning The gear BY Hand, I Can Get A nice Light Blue Spark Off The wire dragging On The Gear! I See No Reason It Would Not Run An Engine. All The Other Mags That Came from The sale Has Worked! I believe it Has Been Rebuilt, Shaft Is Snug On Both Ends, Has Good Pull from The Magnets, It Has A 25 Tooth Gear, Everything But The spark Plug wire Seems to Be in Good Condition!
