Waterloo boy Hit and Miss Engine on a self propelled running gear
This is a waterloo boy hit n miss motor. I'm not sure what year it is or what the exact model is but it is in very nice shape and has very good compression. It hasn't been started in 3 years though but ran great when it was put into storage! The motor has a different carburetor on it and it looks like the carb came off of a smaller tractor but it does work great on the motor. The ignition has also been changed. It has a 12 volt electrical system with alternator for charging. And it also has a coil and points for the spark. It all works really good and it ran and started really good. The motor is mounted on a home made self propelled drive train and is hooked up to a older four speed transmission and then that is hooked up to a older car rear end. It all works good and it gets lots of attention in parades and shows! The main steering ... moreare that goes from the steering gear to the tie rod is also broke and will have to welded back on to drive it again but that will be a very easy fix. I have too many projects now and don't have time to work on this right now so I am selling this. Cleaned, greased and put back together. A new lead out tower has been fabricated for better transfer of current to the igniter. A new band which holds the magnets has been fabricated. Magnets were cracked. Maytag 92 ratchet gear. I am no expert but this one looks very smooth to me. I have cleaned it up for you to bid on. It looks pretty. I work on Model 92s only and I always pay attention to detail. I spent a lot of time cleaning this one up and sprayed it with a Primer/Paint combo to avoid Flash Rusting. Teeth look good to me. I would use it on my Engines if I did not have extras. Antique McCormick Deering running gear in super nice condition very straight and only one small repair that I have noticed. The repair is on the rear bolster where the reach ties in, can be seen in the pix below. McCormick Deering painted on the rear bolster is faded and hard to read but there. Wheels have some play but not bad, rolls very nicely. Measurements are approximate. Rear wheels 34" in dia. front wheels 27" dia. width outside rim to outside rim in 63" The wheel base hub to hub is 83" and it looks like the adjustable reach will allow at least 3 feet more in length of wheel base. All in all a very nice and very straight gear.Would make a great wagon. Trailer or possibly a hit and miss engine cart. Early style LA IHC, mag, with 19 tooth gear, Hit Miss
This is the early style mag for the La IHC. With out automatic oil line to valves. If you like original, here it is, this is a nice looking mag. Some people do not care, but for them that want originality, then this is it. I bought several parts from a man. I got this mag with the deal. I think the former owner had cleaned it up some. Impulse spring seams weaker than it should be, but it sparks about a quarter of an inch, nice blue flame. I can not say for sure, but believe the 19 tooth gear is for the smaller size of 1 1/2- 2 1/2 hp?

Main Crankshaft and Governor Gear for Hit and Miss Gas Engines 99 CENTS NR
You are bidding on these three gears. I believe that the TWO larger gears are main crankshaft gears for small hit and miss gas engines and that the smaller gear is a magneto gear. The smallest main crankshaft gear has a small tight crack(see photo) It could be welded or probably used as is. Largest gear is 3 5/8 OD with1 13/16 dia. hole; smaller crank gear is 2 3/4 OD and1 5/16 inch hole. Mag gear is 2 7/8 with tapered hole. Good usable parts. This is an Original Fairbanks Morse Type R Magneto That Was Bought At Auction Of A Magneto Repairman/ Collector/ Restorer. I have no way to test It Properly. BUT, BY Spinning The gear BY Hand, I Can Get A nice Light Blue Spark Off The wire dragging On The Gear! I See No Reason It Would Not Run An Engine. All The Other Mags That Came from The sale Has Worked! I believe it Has Been Rebuilt, Shaft Is Snug On Both Ends, Has Good Pull from The Magnets, It Has A 25 Tooth Gear, Everything But The spark Plug wire Seems to Be in Good Condition! These Magneto's were Mainly Used on Fairbanks Morse Engines In The"Z" Series I believe. But May Have been Used On Others.
