Very Nice original model 92 maytag multi motor. Serial number is: 727009 exhaust out the front. remaining paint and sticker looks to be original. No broken fins. Makes hot spark, has good compression. I have never run this motor, just checked the spark today. It appears to be unmolested. They are getting VERY difficult to find in this condition. Antique Maytag Gas Engine 1928 #314456 Model #92 Hit Miss Motor
Maytag Gas Engine Model 92#314456 and does have a chip on the cooling fins which can be seen in the 6th picture. Looks like it will need cleaned and rebuilt since the flywheel only turns about 1/4 turn and I can not see the piston moving. One spot with some minor plus pitting on the flywheel which is shown in the 7th picture.

Serial# 544339. Built 1934. Turns over with strong compression and bounce. Checked Mag- looks clean and complete- ran a strip of business card through the points and got a weak spark. Missing air cleaner and points cover. One broken mounting lug on base- see pic. Sector gear for kick start has old weld. Foot start works as it should. All else appears complete and original. Unmolested and dirty. Some light surface corrosion- no heavy corrosion or pitting. Gas tank is clean. Spark plug is Champion pipe thread- no id letter or number- looks good to use. Maytag Model 92 Gas Hit & Miss Engine Motor-Wringer Washer #498021
This is a model 92 Maytag Engine with the“short. Deep” fuel tank. It carries a serial number of 498021 which makes it a 1933 built(approximately) in the month of June of that year. I bought this engine with intent of getting it running and using it for show, but life's card dealing is making it obvious that I am not going to be able to do that. The engine looks good and is a“prime” piece of American history. I don't see any cracks, breaks, or welds. It turns over freely and has good compression, so I can't imagine it taking too much to get this engine running like a top. It is a nice engine for being near 82 years old. Great for a beginner or an experienced collector that wants to add a nice 92 engine to his/her collection. It could use a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint or get it to run and show as is. Barn Find Maytag Model 92 Gas Hit & Miss Engine Motor-Wringer Washer #753192
This is an excellant"Barn Find" Model 92 Maytag Engine with the“short. Deep” fuel tank. It carries a serial number of 753192 which makes it a 1936 built(approximately) in the month of November of that year. I obtained this engine with intent of getting it running and using it for show. But life's card dealing is making it obvious that I am not going to be able to do that. This engine is a“prime” piece of American history. It looks complete except for the kill switch spring and pull wire. Although the plug wire and cover is not shown in the pics it is included and will be shipped as part of this sale. I don't see any cracks. Breaks, or welds. It turns over freely and has good compression. I cannot imagine it taking too much to get this engine running like a top. It is a nice engine for being near 79 years old. Great for a ... morebeginner or an experienced collector that wants to add a nice 92 engine to his/her collection. It could use a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint or get it to run and show as is. This engine would make a good present for any engine collector. Maytag Model 92 Gas Hit& Miss Engine Motor-Wringer Washer serial# 269055 I purchased 5 of these motors from an estate auction was told by family the 5 that were painted green did run. but I have not tried to start them they all have good compression. The one pictured is the one you will receive it has a chip in the flywheel other than that I do not see any breaks or welds. This will be crated to make sure of safe arrival.
