Old Barnes Brass Cylinder Water Pump Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a really neat original Barnes hand water pump. It was made by the Barnes Manufacturing Company in Mansfield. Ohio. It stands about 21 inches tall and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a brass pump cylinder that would polish up nicely! Everything moves as it should. This offering is for what looks to be a New old Stock tank top plate but in reality it is a used part. Its just been cleaned up. The cleaned up ones like pictured are Sand Blasted NOT bead blasted. Sand Blasting is a superior method of cleaning and prep for paint or sealing over Bead Blasting in this case. And if you doubt that just ask I will tell you why. Maytag Single Cylinder Hit and Miss Gas Engine Nov. 30th,1933
Up for auction is a very nice all original single cylinder Maytag hit and miss gas engine. The engine is very close to running. It has spark and pumps fuel just fine but it needs to be timed. Serial#520860. By that number this engine was probably built on November 30th, 1933. When I purchased this engine it was covered in concrete and after removing most of the concrete tons of original paint is now showing. I have included a picture of it after I purchased it. There are no cracks or welds that I can see but it is missing a few pieces like the air breather and kill switch. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Maytag Model 72 twin cylinder gas engine hit and miss Complete Spark Compression
A uction is for a Maytag Model 72. Engine was previously restored. Purchased from previous owner who restored it years ago and was stored in the garage. Engine is free. Has compression and spark. The plug wires are fragile and one is now severed but I did get spark on each side before breaking one of the plug wires. Has exhaust flange and pulley. A complete engine that shouldn't take much to get off and running in my opinion. Suspect new wires and fresh oil/fuel mixture may be all that it'll take but that is only a presumption. No breaks or welds. Serial 968716. Selling as is and as shown to the continental US 48 states only. The kicker will be removed for shipping purposes. This engine will be packed VERY well. Old MAYTAG 72 Twin Cylinder Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler NICE
This is a pretty nice old Maytag 72 twin cylinder hit and miss gas engine. It is in good condition for its age with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. I haven't run the engine but it turns over nicely with good compression and I wouldn't think it should take much to make noise with it. One spark plug needs to be replaced as can be seen but otherwise it seems to be complete. Everything seems to move as it should and it has the original belt pulley on it yet. I will remove the wood from the bottom for shipping. I can deliver this for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can also be picked up here.
