This very old repair parts list No. 8621A is a complete original. Not a copy. All pages are present and legible, but front and back covers have detached. Also included is an insert, detailing the instructions for starting and running that says"TACK UP THIS CHART NEAR YOUR ENGINE" Insert is in MUCH better condition than parts list. Fairbanks Morse ZD Hit Miss Gas Engine Starting Crank Handle
Here is a crank handle for a Fairbanks Morse ZD engine. It is in quite good condition. Supposedly these are hard to find items. I guess most people throw them away after they slip and hit their knuckles and ankles(ask me how I know) Yes. There are ways around starting a ZD, but nothing beats a complete engine. I have other old engine parts for sale this week.

Old Fairbanks Morse Railroad Car Hit Miss Gas Engine Watch Fob Steam Tractor WOW
This is a very rare original watch fob from the Fairbanks Morse Company showing their railroad speeder car. It measures about 1 1/4 inches in diamter and is in great shape for being 100 years old. It has some characteristic wear from its years of service but just enough to give it character. It shows the car on the front along with"Fairbanks Morse Gasoline Motor Car" and the back says"Fairbanks Morse& Company. Railroad Supplies, Chicago" on the back. This would be fine addition to your Fairbanks Morse or fob collection. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it likely won't be this nice. The pictures tell the story. This book is used so please look at all the pictures. Old Rare French Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Sales Poster Steam Oiler
This is a very rare original French sales brochure for the Fairbanks Morse Z gas engines. It measures about 3 3/4 x 6 inches and unfolds to a nice poster size of 11 1/4 x 18 inches. It is in good condition with minor wear and creasing. It has very detailed illustrations. It shows many different configurations of the engines and has specifications of the engines from 1 1/2 to 20 horsepower. This sales brochure would be a fine addition to your early engine literature collection. It would also look great framed and displayed with your Fairbanks Morse engine at the shows. I have owned many pieces of original sales literature and have seen alot more but I've never seen this particular piece. I don't think there's many left to be found out in the wild. Old Fairbanks Morse Pioneers Book Hit Miss Gas Engine Windmill Pump Scale NICE!!
This is a very neat original book published in 1945 entitled"Pioneers in Industry. Fairbanks Morse and Company 1830-1945" It measures about 9 x 12 inches and has 160 pages. It is in good condition for its age with some general wear and a loose binding but the inside pages are in excllent condition. It has chapters on scales, windmills, pumps, railroad equipment, gasoline engines, motors, diesel engines and more. It has a second part with chapters on World War II and an overview of the company in 1945. The book is heavily illustrated and has some excellent reading in it! This is a pretty scarce book and would be a fine addition to your early industrial literature collection especially if you like Fairbanks Morse engines, scales, windmills, or machinery in general. Old Spiegel Chainsaw Fairbanks Morse Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a very unique and rather hard to find original Spiegel chainsaw. It seems to be in very good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a big 20 inch bar on it. It has a Fairbanks Morse recoil which needs some minor attention as it doesn't retract all the way and it also needs the link between the finger throttle hooked back up. The pieces seem to be there to do it. It turns over nicely with super compression and I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make noise with it! I will remove the bar to make it easier to package for shipping. It has some nice original paint on it and would be a fine addition to your early chainsaw collection. Rare 1/2 Scale Fairbanks Morse 1A Eclipse Hit Miss Steam Gas Engine Model Oiler
Wow! What a great find. Just picked this up at a local flea market in a box and in pieces. A 1/2 scale Fairbanks Morse 1A Model Engine. It appears to have some work done but needs to be completed! It has a piston and rod and seems to have good compression. The valves are nicely done and cam is good. The flywheels are round and true. They measure 7" diameter. Total engine height is 12" There are no cracks or breaks to be found. The pictures tell the story. I have done some research on these and couldn't find a lot of information. These were made about 25 to 30 or so years ago and not many were casted. This would be a great project for a collector. I will ship to anywhere worldwide. If shipped outside the United States. The engine will be dis-assembled to fit in a flat rate box and will be packaged well.

Fairbanks Morse Model 208 Antique Hit & Miss Gas Engine! Turns Over W/ Flywheels
This Is A Very Nice Old One Cylinder Engine That Was Recently Taken Out Of Service In The Oilfield& Replaced With An Electric Motor! It is a Fairbanks Morse Model Number 208& it still has good compression when the flywheels are turned over by hand. It is missing the magneto and carburetor but another carburetor is included as pictured. This engine could very possibly be in good running order. However, I have no way to guarantee that. What you see is what you are getting! We will not ship this engine so it will need to be picked up here at our yard. 1 1/2hp FAIRBANKS MORSE Z BATTERY BOX ORIGINAL NICE GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS
This is a real nice original steel BATTERY BOX for a 1 1/2hp FAIRBANKS MORSE Z engine. Bolts to the side of the hopper and top of skid. It is complete with the knife switch. Original coil, original plug wire. This is a nice straight box and is rust free. This is the nicest original box I have seen. Even the original wood on the bottom is in good shape. Even the old plug wire is in good usuable condition. Lid opens and closes and it has the original latch to keep the lid closed. Knife switch works great. Has a standard model T coil inside which slides into a slot. Didnt check it for spark but I quickly hooked a battery charger to the wires and the coil buzzed strong. The only issue I saw is the bolt hole on the back side where it bolts to the hopper. Looks like the bolt may have pulled through and broke a small piece of the metal out probably ... morefrom vibration. Looks like it could be fixed with a large flat washer on the inside and it wont be seen after its mounted on the engine. Really a good solid box which will look great on that original engine or paint it for your restored engine. Very hard to find an original box for these as most of them have rusted away or removed and thrown out. Check out the pictures large sized to get a good look. Original Irvin Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Toy Steam Tractor
This is an original Fairbanks Morse diecast toy made by Irvin's Model Shop several years ago. They were made in limited numbers and aren't real easy to find today. This particular model looks very much like an Arcade cast iron toy. It is cast aluminum and is in good shape for it's age with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The flywheels move as they should. It measures about 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 and is 2 inches tall. It has some nicks and paint chips on it from being played with but that's just enough to give it some character. These are fairly tough to find in the wild and don't even turn up that often here on Ebay. Fairbanks Morse Hit & Miss Gas Engine Magneto Model R Fits Z D Dishpan & Others
Nice original Fairbanks Morse type R magneto in very good condition. Includes a magneto gear and breather plate for a Fairbanks Morse Model Z Style D. The magneto has very good blue spark just turning it by hand. The body is in excellent shape with no cracks or repairs. The point cover has some wear to it. Not sure what happened there. Also the gear has been repaired in two places. It looks like a good repair and may have run this way. The pot metal is very nice with no aging cracks. Both mounting ears are good. The bushings are good with very little play. The teeth on the gear are excellent. This magneto was also used on the Dishpan style engine as well as many other Fairbanks Z engines. Original Fairbanks Morse 2hp T Hit Miss GAS Engine Magneto Steam Tractor NICE!!
This is an outstanding original 2hp Fairbanks Morse Vertical T hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos. It is very unusual in that it is a factory natural gas engine as it came from the factory. It has a very unique fuel system on it. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can find or know of. It has the original muffler, and correct early style Michigan cylinder oilers and belt pulley on it. It is on a homemade cart that makes it easy to move around. It has a gear driven water pump and screen cooler that is not original but work as they should. Nothing on the engine was altered to add these and they could easily be removed if you didn't like them. This engine has tons of original paint on the crankcase and flywheels. I believe the cylinder and head were repainted MANY years ago and the ... morepaint matches perfect. It is actually flaking off of the the original nickel paint that was used on the head at the factory. This engine has excellent compression and very little wear in the bearings or anywhere. A previous owner went through it very thoroughly and ran it at several shows. I've never run it but see no reason that it wouldn't start right up. These are very desirable engines and this unique one would be a sure attention getter at the shows! These engines don't turn up for sale very often and they are almost never this nice and original. This is a very hard to find original Fairbanks Morse Dealer Catalog from 1922. It measures about 6 x 9 inches and has 66 pages. It shows all of the Z engines including the new"dishpan" model. It is heavily illustrated and shows engines. Air compressors, corn shellers, light plants, feed grinders, mills, feed cutters, pumps and pump jacks, washing machines, windmills, and wood saws. It has all of the specifications and features of many of the products. It is a great reference book and would be a fine addition to your early engine or agricultural advertising library. It would also look great displayed with your engine or equipment at the shows. It is in good condition for it's age with no missing pages. The binding is a bit separated from the stack but there are no loose pages. Old 3hp FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Red Line Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a rather hard to find 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z that left the factory as a hit and miss engine instead of a throttling governor as most of the Z's are. These were commonly called the"Red" line engines. It is an older repaint and turns over nicely with very little wear anywhere. It has excellent compression and has been run in the last few years. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for a very well done repair on the rocker tower which I've pointed out in the pictures. The engine has the factory belt pulley, oiler, and coil box on it, all of which are usually missing. The original gas tank looks to be in great shape as well. The original starting crank is with it. Old FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Headless Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Steam Tractor Ignitor
This is a nice old 1 1/2 horsepower Fairbanks Morse headless Z gas engine. It is a true hit and miss gas engine. It turns over nicely and has great compression even though it hasn't run for a few years. It has the original crank guard which is almost always missing. Each of the mounting ears on the crank guard has a very well done old repair on them and they work the way they should. It has an authentic reproduction gas tank and muffler on it. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It is missing the fuel line which would be pretty easy to make or can be obtained from several of the hobby suppliers. It is ignitor fired and can be run with a battery and low tension coil. It shouldn't take much work at all to make noise with it! Rare Fairbanks Morse Jack Of All Trades Hit And Miss Antique Gas Engine Cart
A very hard to find antique stationary gas engine cart or wagon. Cart has about 12 inch wheels with 21/2 inch face and are cast iron as shown in pictures. All castings are original and I could not find any cracks breaks or welds. Top wood is not correct but the back bolster is and still has some original red paint and looks in good shape. Wheels have some green paint. Wheels do have rust but all look good original. This cart should fit the Jack Junior engine.The smaller verticals type T engines and the 2 and 4 hp type H stationary motor. These carts are very scarce buyer can pick up or can ship via Fastenal. Old 3hp FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Ignitor Steam Tractor Oiler
This is a pretty nice old 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is a throttle governed engine. It turns over nicely and has decent compression even though it hasn't run for a few years. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a vinyl connecting rod bearing. It might work with this bearing or they are available rather inexpensively from some of the hobby suppliers. It has a good gas tank under it. The engine is an earlier Z model as it has the Sumter Plugoscillator ignition setup on it. It will need a magneto and a trip finger to run. Everything is loose and seems to move as it should. It does have some wear on some of the moving parts but most things do when they're close to 100 years old! I think this engine was in the process of being restored and never got finished. It has a reproduction muffler ... moreon it and will need the fuel plumbing finished. It has the original larger brass serial tag on the front of the hopper. The head doesn't seem to ever have been broken or repaired which is somewhat of a rarity for these engines. It has an older paint job in the correct green color and although it has some wear and chips here and there still displays pretty nicely. Original FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Truck Wagon Steel Wheels WOW
This is a rather hard to find original cart for a Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It was used under the 3hp Z but would look good under any engine 1 1/2 to 3hp in size. It has the original handle on the front axle. It is ready to put to use under an engine! The wheels measure 12 inches in diameter with a 2 inch face. It is in great condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and with the exception of one of the wheels having some very nice welding around the rim end of the spokes. I've owned this cart for a long time and never even noticed this. It's extremely well done and very hard to notice. There are also a few nails used as cotter pins to keep the wheels in place but these would be easy enough to replace. Factory carts like these are pretty hard to find in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance ... moreon it. It would certainly make moving your engine around easier! SUMTER MAGNETO FAIRBANKS MORSE HEADLESS Z GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS
This is an original SUMTER MAGNETO from a headless Z Fairbanks Mores engine. The pot metal base of the magneto is cracked and broken like many. This is quite common on these magnetos and reproductions are available in aluminum and brass from magneto parts suppliers. The base bolts on with four screws. The rest of the magneto is steel and brass and is fine. Magneto spins over nice and smooth. Gear is in really nice condition. Has good magnetism. The magneto is hot. I attached a 12 volt test light and it would flash the bulb real bright just spinning the gear by hand. I was actually supprised how hot it was. No other cracks. Breaks, or welds. Old FAIRBANKS MORSE Y Diesel HAUCK Blowtorch Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor
This is a very hard to find original Hauck vertical blow torch that was commonly use under the heads of the Fairbanks Morse Y diesel engines to warm them up for starting. It stands about 12 1/2 inches tall and is in good condition for its age. The pump handle moves as it should but it will likely need new packing or leathers which is the fun part. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs anywhere on the torch and with just a little elbow grease it should be ready to go to work. These original torches hardly ever turn up in the wild or at swap meets so don't miss your chance on it. It will likely be a while before another one turns up. Old FAIRBANKS MORSE Z 6hp Crank Guard Fender Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor
This is an original crank guard. Shield, or fender for a 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It's in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a few very minor dings but this would certainly be easy enough to remedy if you so choose. It measures about 7 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long overall. It has the original shelf on it that sits in the back of the crankcase. It also has what I believe is the original mounting tab for the tank cooled engine on the front of it. This could be removed if you don't need it for your hopper cooled engine. These original crank guards don't turn up very often in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance on it.
