Maytag Single Cylinder Hit and Miss Gas Engine Nov. 30th,1933
Up for auction is a very nice all original single cylinder Maytag hit and miss gas engine. The engine is very close to running. It has spark and pumps fuel just fine but it needs to be timed. Serial#520860. By that number this engine was probably built on November 30th, 1933. When I purchased this engine it was covered in concrete and after removing most of the concrete tons of original paint is now showing. I have included a picture of it after I purchased it. There are no cracks or welds that I can see but it is missing a few pieces like the air breather and kill switch. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Vintage Antique Sattley Montgomery Ward 1-1/2 HP single cylinder engine hit miss
Local pickup only! Up for auction is one Sattley for Montgomery Ward 1.5 horsepower stationary engine. One cyl. Flat head all iron engine. Fuel and oil tanks in base. Seems to have great compression, and was under restoration when I got it. It does not make spark currently, but it seems to have all components to do so. I believe the only thing missing is an air filter. Fluids are drained. Comes with custom made socket that fits in a 1/2 drill chuck(seen in photo) for rotating engine for starting. Offering this single cylinder engine of unknown origin. Cast iron cases. With no damage. Incorrect cylinder, base mount, holes do not line up with case holes. Single valve lifter. Engine would have had atmospheric intake. Piston is cast iron and fits bore 3-1/4" diameter. 3-9/16 cylinder base bore on case. Looks to have a 3-1/2" stroke. Motor mount holes are 10-7/8" x 2" center to center. The only casting numbers are in drive side of case and they are very faint. Looks to be E152. Drive shaft is 7/8" diameter. Maytag Gas Engine Model 92 Single Cylinder, Flywheel Pulley, Hit & Miss
This pulley is for the 92& similar Single Cylinder Maytag Motors. I have too many of these. I have taken it down to bare metal for you to Prime/Paint your own color. Some rusting may occur during selling process. Should be no big deal, a wire brush or wire wheel should have it ready in no time. Has some small dents, a few scratches and a ding here and there. Over all looks pretty good to me. The Hub has a little ding, however it seems to be very solid. No cracks or repairs. I wound up with a lot of duplicated parts and will be listing more extra Maytag parts as time permits. Sorry No International shipping will be offered. I have too many of these. I have cleaned this item up for your consideration. I flushed out the oil tube with carb. cleaner so it is clear. Has some small dents. Small pits and a ding. Over all looks pretty good to me. No cracks or repairs. I wound up with a lot of duplicated parts and will be listing more extra Maytag parts as time permits. Maytag Gas Engine Model 92 Single Cylinder,Exhaust Manifold, Hit & Miss
This Manifold is for the 92& similar Single Cylinder Maytag Motors. I have too many of these. I have taken it down to bare metal for you to Prime/Paint to your own color. Some rusting may occur during the selling process. Should be no big deal, a wire brush or wire wheel should have it ready in no time. I have done my best to get the crud out of the inside with the materials I have on hand, so it should not cause a compression drag. Has some small dents, a few scratches and a ding here and there. Maytag Gas Engine 92 Single Cylinder,Side Exhaust Manifold Hit & Miss S-252
This was just removed from a very early Maytag 92. It is the more rare version with the side discharge exhaust manifold. Stamped with part number S-252. It has a clean break at the flange and anyone with welding skills can repair it easy enough. There are no missing pieces to the break. Ready for repair. Here is a Maytag single cylinder engine. We put some fresh fuel in it. A different spark plug and with a few kicks it was running. It is running in some of the pictures. Still has its barn fresh dirt and cobwebs patina. Could use some new gaskets, a clean up and fresh paint or just enjoy it as it is. Has a super nice pulley. It has one tiny flea bite of a chip on one lower fin. If you look carefully in the pictures you might be able to see it. A nice motor ready to become part of your collection. The two boards it is mounted on will be removed for shipping. If you want me to ship those too there will be additional shipping costs.
