This very old repair parts list No. 8621A is a complete original. Not a copy. All pages are present and legible, but front and back covers have detached. Also included is an insert, detailing the instructions for starting and running that says"TACK UP THIS CHART NEAR YOUR ENGINE" Insert is in MUCH better condition than parts list. Old Webster JY IHC Famous Titan Hit Miss Gas Engine Magneto Steam Tractor HOT!!
This is a real nice original Webster JY magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one small ear of the body being chipped off. The piece is there and it would be tough to notice with a little space age adhesive. I didn't notice it when I took the pictures. This is a BIG magneto that has many applications in the gas engine world, most notably the big International Harvester Famous and Titan line. It mounts on a 2 1/2 x 2 13/16 inch bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape. It has new springs and three new rollers on it. It has been recharged and puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It has the original leadout cover on it but it has some chips out of it. It has the ... moreoriginal name band on it. It has almost no noticeable wear in the bearings or on the trip finger and i don't think this magneto has seen many hours of use in it's day. It has the original hinged oil cups on it as well. These magnetos are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one this is a pretty nice one. This is an excellent original Clipper belt lacer for installing lacing on flat belts. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It works as it should and it is ready to be put to use lacing belts. The lacing is available from many of the industrial suppliers and farm supply stores. This lacer has the original serial tag on it. These lacers are indispensible tools to have in your arsenal if you run or restore any kind of flat belt driven equipment like feed grinders, pumps, hay presses, and many other items. This is a very rare original watch fob from the Fairbanks Morse Company showing their railroad speeder car. It measures about 1 1/4 inches in diamter and is in great shape for being 100 years old. It has some characteristic wear from its years of service but just enough to give it character. It shows the car on the front along with"Fairbanks Morse Gasoline Motor Car" and the back says"Fairbanks Morse& Company. Railroad Supplies, Chicago" on the back. Old Barnes Brass Cylinder Water Pump Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a really neat original Barnes hand water pump. It was made by the Barnes Manufacturing Company in Mansfield. Ohio. It stands about 21 inches tall and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a brass pump cylinder that would polish up nicely! Everything moves as it should. Old Sunlight Generator Briggs WMB Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a really neat and unusual Sunlight 110 volt portable generator. It was made by the Sunlight Electrical Manufacturing Company in Warren. Ohio. It has a Briggs and Stratton WMB engine on it for power. The engine is kick start and turns over nicely with great compression. The generator turns over nicely and seems to be in good condition. It is missing one of the doors on the back side but the other one is there for a pattern to reproduce one. The original gas tank is there and is in decent shape with a couple of small dings. Surprisingly the engine has it's original muffler which is almost never seen! I think with just a little cleaning this could be a running setup. I personally have never seen another one but I'm sure there's a few out there. Old Lunkenheimer Mockingbird 5 Inch Steam Whistle Hit Miss Gas Engine Tractor
This is a pretty nice original and VERY hard to find Lunkenheimer 5 inch Mockingbird steam whistle. It seems to be in good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is a rather large whistle and is about 26 inches long overall. It is marked with the Lunkenheimer name and has a patent date on the other side of the body. The slide moves freely. This whistle has 1 1/2 inch pipe threads. The dome is in great shape with only a few very minor dings. I believe this whistle could be plumbed up to steam or compressed air and used just the way it is. Both the slide and the valve have short cables attached to use it. These larger mockingbird whistles are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and really turn some heads when they are polished up and displayed at the shows! Old Hercules Hit Miss Gas Engine Sales Brochure Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler WOW
This is a very unusual original sales brochure for Hercules gas engines. It is a foldable pocket brochure that has been unfolded and laminated sometime in the past to protect it from wear. It measures about 7 x 10 1/4 inches and shows the 1 3/4 Style E. F, and G, connected to different kinds of pumps. It also shows the portable tilting table saw outfit as well as the drag saw. The back of it shows the complete list of nationwide repair parts service stations and it also has a list of"dealers who have large stocks of repairs" I have seen lots of interesting and rare original sales literature but have never seen this particular piece. It is in good condition for its age with the exception of the missing piece in the lower right corner which doesn't affect much more than the eye appeal of the piece. Old Smith Great Western Haish Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignitor Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a very rare original ignitor for a Smith Great Western hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks or repairs of any kind. It is part number E240 and mounts to the engine with two 1/2 inch holes 3 inches apart on center. The points look like they have been replaced with nails many decades ago. These would be easy and inexpensive to replace if you so choose. This is a very hard to find part for a very hard to find engine so if you need one to finish a restoration or just for a spare on the shelf don't miss this one. Old Lasure Hit Miss Gas Engine Clutch Pulley Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler NICE!!
This is an extremely nice and very hard to find original clutch pulley for a hit and miss gas engine. It was made by the Lasure Friction Pulley Company in Watertown. Wisconsin and fits on a 2 1/4 inch diameter crankshaft and could be bored to fit a 2 1/2 inch shaft. It could also be bushed to fit anything smaller. It has a 6 1/4 inch face and is 10 1/4 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs and everything works as it should. It snaps in and out very nicely and is ready to be put to work on an engine. These clutches rarely turn up in the wild or even at swap meets and they surely make it easier to use your engine to run belt driven implements! The pictures tell the story. Old Spiegel Chainsaw Fairbanks Morse Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a very unique and rather hard to find original Spiegel chainsaw. It seems to be in very good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a big 20 inch bar on it. It has a Fairbanks Morse recoil which needs some minor attention as it doesn't retract all the way and it also needs the link between the finger throttle hooked back up. The pieces seem to be there to do it. It turns over nicely with super compression and I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make noise with it! I will remove the bar to make it easier to package for shipping. It has some nice original paint on it and would be a fine addition to your early chainsaw collection. This is an extremely scarce. If not rare, original advertising celluloid pocket knife sharpener featuring the Waterloo Boy kerosene tractor and engines. It also advertises US huskers and silo fillers, Letz feed grinders, and Russell threshing machines. It is quite large and measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter. It is from the Arbuckle Ryan Company in Toledo, Ohio. It is in great condition considering it's almost 100 years old with some minor staining and foxing around the edges. Old Original John Lauson Hit Miss Gas Engine Ammeter Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a very rare original John Lauson ammeter. It is from the same John Lauson Company in New Holstein. WI, that built the Frost King hit and miss gasoline engines. They were used to test the strength of the batteries that were being used to run the engines. It is in great condition considering it's over 100 years old and I see no reason why it wouldn't work. It has the original cloth covered wire on it which is a bit tattered but it will work the way it is. It measures about 2 1/8 inches in diameter and the only thing I see wrong with it is the glass is missing. I'm sure this would be available rather inexpensively at a local clock or watch repair shop. This is an old Cretors popcorn wagon steam engine that was offered by Paul Breisch several years ago. It measures about 23 1/2 inches long and has a 8 1/2 inch flywheel. It turns over nicely and I hooked it up to air and it runs just as it should. It has lots of brass parts that would look great all polished up. I don't know who did the machine work on it but it was done pretty nicely. It does need some"period" looking fasteners but this would be pretty simple. Old Original Marsh Steam Engine Tractor Water Pump Hit Miss Gas Magneto Oiler
This is a pretty nice original Marsh steam pump built by the American Steam Pump Company in Battle Creek. Michigan. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can find or know of. Everything on it moves freely as it should. The only flaw that I know of is that it needs a piston on the big end and the cover for that end along with a few fasteners. These should be easy to make and then you'll have a perfect pump. It measures about 17 inches long and about 12 1/2 inches tall. Old Dempster Grist Burr Mill Corn Grinder Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor NICE
This is a very nice old Dempster corn grinder or grist burr mill. It was made by the Dempster Mill and Manufacturing Company in Beatrice. Nebraska. It is in excellent condition with a new sheet metal hopper made just like the original. It also has a new adjustable feed rate chute. It has NEW BABBITT bearings and there is no play or wear on the shaft! It has a belt pulley on it and is ready to be belted to your engine to grind corn at the shows! There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than a small chip out of one of the burr plates but it worked for many years like this and will continue to do so without any issues. This mill stands about 31 inches tall overall and is a perfect size for even a 1 1/2hp engine to run. This is a very hard to find original catalog from 1909 from the Fairbanks Company for their Power Transmission. Elevating, and Conveying machinery. It is in good condition for being over 100 years old! It measures about 5 3/4 x 7 3/8 inches with 328 pages. It is heavily illustrated with all of the products they offered for this particular part of the market from lineshaft equipment, belting, canvas, gears, cast iron and other pulleys up to 120 inches in diameter! elevators, conveyors, scales, clutches and much more! They even offered the rare"Almond" right angle lineshaft coupling. There is a page with their engine offerings on it. Original Fairbanks Morse 2hp T Hit Miss GAS Engine Magneto Steam Tractor NICE!!
This is an outstanding original 2hp Fairbanks Morse Vertical T hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition as can be seen in the photos. It is very unusual in that it is a factory natural gas engine as it came from the factory. It has a very unique fuel system on it. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can find or know of. It has the original muffler, and correct early style Michigan cylinder oilers and belt pulley on it. It is on a homemade cart that makes it easy to move around. It has a gear driven water pump and screen cooler that is not original but work as they should. Nothing on the engine was altered to add these and they could easily be removed if you didn't like them. This engine has tons of original paint on the crankcase and flywheels. I believe the cylinder and head were repainted MANY years ago and the ... morepaint matches perfect. It is actually flaking off of the the original nickel paint that was used on the head at the factory. This engine has excellent compression and very little wear in the bearings or anywhere. A previous owner went through it very thoroughly and ran it at several shows. I've never run it but see no reason that it wouldn't start right up. These are very desirable engines and this unique one would be a sure attention getter at the shows! These engines don't turn up for sale very often and they are almost never this nice and original. This is a very hard to find original steel skid for a New Idea hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 10 inches wide, 27 1/2 inches long and 5 inches tall overall. It has a 7 3/8 x 14 inch bolt pattern where the engine would mount. This is an extremely nice original and very hard to find small sized belt driven rock crusher. It is an"Atlas Crusher" made by the Nelson Machinery Company in Vancouver. British Columbia. It is in EXCELLENT original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one of the grease fittings being broken off. I had it out to grease it and it will be easy to replace. It turns over nicely with no noticeable wear in the bearings or even on the jaws! It certainly could not have seen much use! The jaw opening is 5 1/2 inches. The overall size of the machine is 20 inches wide x 16 inches long x 20 1/2 inches tall. It has 13 and 14 1/4 inch flywheels on it. One flywheel has v-belt grooves machined into it as it was when it left the factory. It would work just fine with a flat belt on it for show purposes. The flywheels ... morehave the name in raised letters and the crusher has some decent original paint on it yet. The only thing that will require some minor attention is that both adjustment knobs are stuck but I'm sure with a little heat these would loosen up. Everything else seems to work as it should. These little rock crushers are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they are real attractions when they are belted to a hit and miss or steam engine at the shows. Original 1 1/2 IHC Type M Hit Miss Gas Engine Antique Motor Steam Tractor WOW
This is a pretty decent original and barn fresh 1 1/2hp Type M International Harvester gas engine. It seems to be in pretty good condition but needs some restoration. It has a larger belt pulley on it with some old belt dressing built up on it. It is missing the magneto. Handhole cover and a few other small items. It has a homemade reproduction gas tank that looks great. The bottom of the fuel pump needs to be repaired or replaced. There is also a very old repair on the rocker arm. The engine is loose and shows very little wear on the governor fork. It should be a pretty straightforward restoration project and has some decent original paint on it yet. Original WOOD Dynamo Generator Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto NICE!
This is a very hard to find original WOOD dynamo or generator. It was built by the Fort Wayne Electric Works in Fort Wayne. Indiana. The last patent date on the serial tag is 1894. I'm not an expert on these but it seems to be in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The fella I got it from said he removed it from it's original installation just last year. It turns nicely with very little wear in the bearings. I don't know if anything is missing on the working end so look at the pictures carefully. There are two original brush holders on it and the other posts look like they never had anything on them. The dynamo measures about 21 inches tall, 18 inches wide, and 31 1/2 inches long overall. This is an original New Holland hit and miss gas engine diecast toy made by an Amish gent in Pennsylvania several years ago. They were made in very limited numbers and aren't real easy to find today. This one is number 657. It is cast aluminum and is in good shape for it's age with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The flywheels move as they should. It measures about 2 3/4 x 4 and is 2 3/4 inches tall. It has some nicks and paint chips on it from being played with but that's just enough to give it some character. Old 3 1/2hp Lauson Alpha Hit Miss Gas Engine Antique Motor Steam Tractor WOW
This is a 3 1/2hp John Lauson/Alpha Model W hit and miss gas engine. It is a true hit and miss engine and was built by the John Lauson Company for the DeLaval Dairy Supply Company. It is a restoration project that was started and needs to be finished. It is mostly complete except it is missing the Wico EK magneto as can be seen but these turn up quite frequently here on Ebay. It has the correct hinged cast iron crank guard. The piston and rod are out because the wrist pin came loose at some point and scored the cylinder. The grooves have been JB welded and it needs to be honed back out. The fella that did this had very good luck with this method on several other engines. There is a repair on the detent pivot and on the rocker arm as can be seen. The head has already been repaired. The engine has been repainted at some point in its working ... moreday. It needs some other small generic engine parts like valve springs. Keepers, and some new head studs as three of the originals are twisted off. With a little patience and time this should be a pretty straightforward project. These are very good running engines when they are dialed in. The 3 1/2hp is the largest of the W series and is quite tough to find compared to the 1 1/2 and 2 1/2hp sizes. The pictures tell the story. This is an old Maytag 92 single cylinder air cooled hit and miss gas engine. It is in good condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind that I could find or know of except for a chip on the carburetor flange which I have detailed in the pictures. The engine will still run with this chip. The engine is stuck with the piston near the top of the cylinder and I'm sure with some minimal effort this engine will run again. It was run several years ago at local shows and has been sitting in a dry building since so I doubt it is stuck very badly. This is a rather hard to find 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z that left the factory as a hit and miss engine instead of a throttling governor as most of the Z's are. This is a very hard to find original Sprout Waldron stone grist mill or grain grinder. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It stands about 34 inches tall and made almost entirely of cast iron. Everything seems to work as it should and there doesn't seem to be much wear anywhere on it. It has an oscillating action for the shaker pan. This has to be one one of the most unique designs for a grinder that I've seen and it's one of the smaller ones so it's easy to move around! This is a very hard to find original Taylor Signal Company dynamo or generator. It was built by the Tayor Signal Company in Buffalo. New York or Chicago, Ilinois. It is a rather early design and is very narrow field frame. I'm not an expert on these but it seems to be in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. It turns nicely with very little wear in the bearings. There is some end play in the shaft but I really don't think it would affect its performance. The dynamo measures about 16 inches tall, 16 inches wide, and 24 inches long overall. It has some decent original paint on it as can be seen. This is a nice old 1 1/2 horsepower Fairbanks Morse headless Z gas engine. It is a true hit and miss gas engine. Old HOCKING VALLEY 2-HOLE Corn Sheller Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a very hard to find original 2-hole Hocking Valley corn sheller. It is in old. Used condition and needs some sturdying up or new wood but it does work just the way it is. It stands about 42 inches tall and has a nice cast iron flywheel on it. The bottom wooden feet are missing and the top wood needs to be replaced. Also, one side of the blower housing is missing as well as most of the sheet metal shroud for the fan. All of these should be fairly easy replacements. It has a little bit of original paint and lettering on it. It has very little wear in the bearings and I don't think it was used very much. It has been sitting in a Wisconsin dairy barn for many decades and that's probably how it weathered the way it did. Old 4hp DOMESTIC Sideshaft Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Steam Tractor Ignitor WOW!
This is an old 4 horsepower Domestic sideshaft hit and miss gas engine. It is a true hit and miss gas engine. It has been through a fire but has survived quite well. Everything seems to be loose and moves as it should. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than the gear guard over the gear on the crankshaft. Both of the sideshaft gears look to be in great shape. Other than needing new babbitt bearings, springs, a serial tag and some small miscellaneous items it should be a pretty straightforward project. The piston is loose in the cylinder and the cylinder should be great after a light honing. The brass rod bearing has some melted babbitt in it but the brass looks great. It has the original crank guard and muffler which are almost always missing. The flyheels measure true so the crankshaft appears to be straight. ... moreIt is spark plug fired and will need a Wico magneto which was lost in the fire. It shouldn't take much work at all to make noise with it! All in all this is a pretty nice project engine that won't require several hundred dollars of parts or machine work! Original PERU WATERLOO Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Truck Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a very hard to find original set of horse trucks for a hit and miss gas engine made by the Peru Plow Company in Peru. Illinois. They were used under Waterloo engines and many other companies as well. The wheels measure 34 and 26 inches in diameter with a 4 inch face and are in great condition and roll very nicely. It is in great condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It needs new wood for the pole. It is is ready to be put to use under an engine just as it is. There is some pitting on some of the steel but nothing that takes away from it's functionality. The rails are 6 inch channel iron and are 13 1/2 inches apart to the outsides and 96 inches long. These can be adjusted in width rather easily. These trucks should work for a larger 4hp engine up to an 8 or maybe a 9hp engine. Original SANDWICH Hit Miss Gas Engine Cart Truck Steam Tractor Magneto Oiler WOW
This is a very hard to find original cart for a small Sandwich hit and miss gas engine. I believe it is all original except the pull handle but this handle gets the job done. I'm pretty sure it has the original wood board on it but it has a few extra holes in it. The wheels measure 10 1/2 inches in diameter with a 2 1/8 inch face and are all cast iron. It is in great original condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for one wheel which has a pretty good old repair and could be dressed down a bit. It is is ready to be put to use under an engine just as it is. it has a nice old look to it and has lots of original grease and oil on it as can be seen. This is a rather hard to find original cart for a Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It was used under the 3hp Z but would look good under any engine 1 1/2 to 3hp in size. It has the original handle on the front axle. It is ready to put under a piece of wood with your engine on it or you could put some angle iron rails on it the width and length you'd need to accommodate your engine. The wheels measure 12 inches in diameter with a 2 inch face. It is in great condition with no cracks. This is an original Wico EK magneto for an old hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It has MANY applications in the gas engine worls and is in good used condition with overall wear for it's age. The armature trips as it should and this magneto has decent spark. Old MANZEL 3-Feed Hit Miss Gas Engine Oiler Lubricator Steam Tractor Magneto WOW
This is a real nice original 3-feed mechanical oiler or lubricator for an early gas engine. Tractor, or other piece of machinery. It was made by Manzel and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The original sight glass is in good condition. The unit ratchets as it should and seems to pump oil from two of the three pumps. I don't know why the other pump doesn't pump but it may be a stuck check ball. I don't think it will be real tough to get it to pump judging by the overall condition of this oiler. This oiler has the original name tag on it. It mounts with two holes about 7 1/4 inches apart on center. Original 3hp FULLER JOHNSON N Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Ignitor Steam Tractor
This is a real nice original barn fresh 3hp Fuller Johnson gas engine. It is a true hit and miss engine. It turns over nicely and has decent compression even though it hasn't run for a few years. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs on it other than a very well done old weld repair on the exhaust rocker arm. It has the original gas tank in it and it seems pretty solid. It also has the original Fuller Johnson check valve. This engine has a great amount of original paint and decals on it and more to be found under the grease. It looks like it will need a pretty minor mechanical restoration.some ignitor springs, fuel line, and some general tightening of a few things should do it. It is also missing the fuel needle and bottom of the fuel mixer which I believe are available as reproductions. The original starting crank is with it. Old HOCKING VALLEY Farm Corn Sheller Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor Magneto
This is a rather hard to find original Hocking Valley corn sheller. It is in old. Used condition and needs some sturdying up or new wood but it does work just the way it is. The wood is fairly brittle but it is still very functional. It stands about 34 inches tall and has an ornate flywheel on it. The has deteriorated in some places but is pretty good in others. It has a VERY little bit of original paint and lettering on it. It has moderate wear in the bearings but there's a lot of life left in them. It has been sitting in a Wisconsin dairy barn for many decades and that's probably how it weathered the way it did. There is a very old weld repair on the hand crank and there is a shaft where you could put a pulley and run it with an engine. This would look great powered by a hit and miss engine or steam engine to shell corn. Old FULLER JOHNSON N Model Hit Miss Gas Engine Ignitor Steam Tractor Oiler NICE!
This is a real nice Fuller and Johnson N hit and miss gas engine model. It is a hopper cooled engine and it is also ignitor fired as can be seen. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It was built by an expert machinist and quality of the machine work is superb! It has 1 1/16 x 9 inch flywheels. I haven't run it and it hasn't been run in a few years but I'm sure with a little tinkering it would fire right up. It has good compression even after sitting for a few years. The builder showed it at several local shows after he built it and it ran great. It is 100% complete and sits on a pair of nice hardwood skids. the only real flaw that I've noted is that some of the paint has come off of the governor side flywhee. Old GILSON Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Cooling Fan Air Cooled Steam Tractor Oiler
Here's an item that doesn't come along very often! It's an original cooling fan for an air cooled Gilson hit and miss gas engine. It is in good used condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. It measures about 15 inches in diameter and the drive pulley is about 3 3/8 inches in diameter. It has the original mounting bracket with it along with the original oil cup on the end of the shaft. This cup has an"E" prefix part number. The fan seems to work as it should but it looks like some of the fins could be straightened or adjusted a bit. This should be a pretty easy task and it should be ready to cool an engine! These are often missing on Gilson engines and I can't say that I've ever seen a loose one for sale so if you need one to complete a restoration don't miss your chance on this one. Old WATERLOO GAS ENGINE CO Pump Jack Hit Miss Steam Tractor JOHN DEERE NICE!
This is a very hard to find original Waterloo Gas Engine Company belt driven pump jack. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind except for two small cracks as I've pointed out in the photos. It has most of its original green paint on it and is covered with grease just like it left the farm! Everything seems to work as it should and there doesn't seem to be much wear anywhere on it. It has the original wooden uprights and cross tie on it. This would look great powered by a hit and miss engine pumping water at the shows! Old 3hp FAIRBANKS MORSE Z Hit Miss Gas Engine Motor Ignitor Steam Tractor Oiler
This is a pretty nice old 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It is a throttle governed engine. It turns over nicely and has decent compression even though it hasn't run for a few years. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a vinyl connecting rod bearing. It might work with this bearing or they are available rather inexpensively from some of the hobby suppliers. It has a good gas tank under it. The engine is an earlier Z model as it has the Sumter Plugoscillator ignition setup on it. It will need a magneto and a trip finger to run. Everything is loose and seems to move as it should. It does have some wear on some of the moving parts but most things do when they're close to 100 years old! I think this engine was in the process of being restored and never got finished. It has a reproduction muffler ... moreon it and will need the fuel plumbing finished. It has the original larger brass serial tag on the front of the hopper. The head doesn't seem to ever have been broken or repaired which is somewhat of a rarity for these engines. It has an older paint job in the correct green color and although it has some wear and chips here and there still displays pretty nicely. This is a rather hard to find original sales brochure from the Moline Pump Company for their ELI hit and miss gas engine. It measures about 3 3/8 x 6 inches and has 26 pages. It has several illustrations of the engines and their different configurations and features. It also shows the different options and attachments. It gives 50 reasons why a potential customer should buy an Eli engine to do some of their work back in the earlier days on the farm. Original WEBER Kerosene Hit Miss Gas Engine Sales Poster Steam Tractor Oiler WOW
This is pretty scarce if not rare original sales advertising poster for the Weber kerosene engines made in Kansas City Missouri. It measures about 4 x 9 inches and unfolds to a poster size of 12 x 18 inches. It is in good condition for being nearly a century old but does had some wear and separation on the folds but very little that takes away from the displayability of the piece. It shows all of the specifications. Variations, features, and accessories for them. It also has a chart for prices for the engines and it appears that prices have been slashed for the introduction of the engine! It has a nice color lithograph of the Weber engine on skids and would look great in a frame displayed with your engine or on the wall of your workshop or library. Original IHC FAMOUS TITAN MOGUL Hit Miss Gas Engine Pliers Steam Tractor Oiler
This is an original and VERY hard to find gas pliers for an International Harvester Famous. Titan, or Mogul gas engine. It measures about 8 3/8 inches long and is in excellent slightly used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. All of the teeth in the jaws are in very good condition. It has the original screwdriver end on one of the handles and it, too, is in great shape. These gas pliers are shown in the original IHC engine parts books as part of the tool kit that was shipped with the engine when it left the factory so if you're looking to to complete your tool set for your engine's toolbox here's your chance. Old MADISOn KIPP 2-Feed Hit Miss Gas Engine Oiler Lubricator Steam Tractor NICE!
This is a real nice original 2-feed mechanical oiler or lubricator for an early gas engine. Tractor, or other piece of machinery. Old FAIRBANKS MORSE Y Diesel HAUCK Blowtorch Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor
This is a very hard to find original Hauck vertical blow torch that was commonly use under the heads of the Fairbanks Morse Y diesel engines to warm them up for starting. It stands about 12 1/2 inches tall and is in good condition for its age. The pump handle moves as it should but it will likely need new packing or leathers which is the fun part. There are no cracks. Breaks, or repairs anywhere on the torch and with just a little elbow grease it should be ready to go to work. Old FAIRBANKS MORSE Z 6hp Crank Guard Fender Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Tractor
This is an original crank guard. Shield, or fender for a 6hp Fairbanks Morse Z gas engine. It's in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has a few very minor dings but this would certainly be easy enough to remedy if you so choose. It measures about 7 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches long overall. It has the original shelf on it that sits in the back of the crankcase. It also has what I believe is the original mounting tab for the tank cooled engine on the front of it. This could be removed if you don't need it for your hopper cooled engine. These original crank guards don't turn up very often in the wild or even at swap meets so don't miss your chance on it.
