ANTIQUE 1929 MAYTAG RESTORED LONG FRAME GAS ENGINE HIT AND MISS WRINGER WASHER
Up for sale is a very nice Maytag Model 92 long frame Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial# 409483 stamped on it which was in production in October 1- December 30. 1929. I have been restoring these engines for over 10 years now and I sell a lot of them. I also used to restore Maytag ringer washers and put Maytag motor's on them as well. This engine was completely taken apart and sand blasted and bead blasted clean and painted with DuPont Maytag original color code. I take a lot of pride in these motors and I like to do a little extra detailing like the lettering and some of the numbers as you can see in the pictures, I think it makes the motor's stand out better. As you can see this engine is complete and not missing any parts such as the pulley or air cleaner or kill switch. It has new rings, condenser, spark plug ... morewire with new ends, new spark plug, caution plate and kill switch. I also honed out the Cylinder jug. Magnet ring was recharged as well and throws a real nice hot spark. This engine has been restored and freshly painted and the tank and top plate was sealed so it will not rust again. I do not paint the flywheels like some people. After putting it all back together I ran 1 tank of fuel through it and it runs just fine. Detailing with the correct decals finished it. The frame does have a very small chunk pissing that you can see in the picture. I cannot put a warranty on these motors do to the age of them BUT I will guarantee it will run great for you when you get it and keep running well. I have sold a lot of motors and washers and never had a complaint yet. My friend deals in Maytag motor parts and he took the carburetor apart cleaned and rebuilt it and also rebuilt the ignition plate putting a new condenser on. He also takes pride with his work. All it needs now is fuel and you can start it with your hand, it is that easy to start. The buyer agrees to pay an extra $35.00 packing fee. Up for bid is a very nice Maytag Model 92 11- 111 Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial# 557534 stamped on it which was in production in May. 1934. I have been restoring these engines for over 10 years now and I sell a lot of them. I also used to restore Maytag ringer washers and put Maytag motor's on them as well. This engine was completely taken apart and sand blasted and bead blasted clean and painted with DuPont Maytag original color code. I take a lot of pride in these motors and I like to do a little extra detailing like the lettering and some of the numbers as you can see in the pictures, I think it makes the motor's stand out better. The flywheel has very little pitting as you can see in the picture but will not affect the performance of the engine. Lots of people like to take the same pictures as I do and try ... moreto confuse the buyer. I don't like the way they do things but I have no control of that. Great looking Maytag Gas Engine Motor Hit Miss Wringer Washer excel.compression
This little baby has been sitting in some old persons garage for 60 or 70 years. It turns over nicely with the foot crank which works well and has very good compression and if you fool around and touch that wire when you are turning it over it will light up your world and almost knock you down. I think that maybe that is the original paint on it not that such matters but I am sure with a few parts like I see for sale on ebay I could have this baby pop pop poping in short order. This one is a good one for some of you experts to restore like new. I paid the old lady $150.00 for it so I want to make a quick $25 or maybe more if it is worth more to one or the other of you guys. Buy it if it is one you want and if not let me hear from you if you have the parts I may need to make it run and maybe I will get it hooked up to a bicycle or something ... moreand have a little fun with it. This also comes with a complete set of high quality gaskets to restore if disired(minus gas tank gasket just replaced. The spark plug wire is dry and cracked. Nice engine. Antique Maytag Hit & Miss Motor Wringer Washer, Restored 7yrs ago, Nice conditon
I purchased this from an old Farmer who said he had it totally restored 7 years ago and used it a few times at a few shows. Then his health got bad so he put it in storage for the last 4 years, he said it Ran like a Champ when he put it away but the gas was stale and the carburetor would need cleaning, so, its has been setting for a little while, I drained the fuel for shipping and just as he said, it was Stale, he told me it takes a 1 to 16 fuel to gas ratio for mixing, so that is 8oz. to 1 gal of fuel. the only thing I see it will need, other than the carb cleaning and maybe a carb rebuild is that one bolt mount is cracked, look at the last picture above the spring, you will see, Nothing a Mig weld wouldn't fix in a minuted, this is one of the Nicer ones ive seen and is almost ready to go, don't let this pass you up, you may never ... moreget another chance to have one almost finished, the bottom wood mount is great, maybe a little cleaning on the entire unit and be ready for the Shows,it is used and has some dirt here and there and a few paint chips, but it is in very nice clean condition with GREAT COMPRESSION, I did kick it a few times and it Hit on me, but did not start because the Gas was Terrible, not Rusted, but just Stale and Dead fuel Note' This is an AS IS AND FINAL SALE you will need to clean or rebuild the carburetor'SHIPPING WILL BE A FLAT $125 and if you live in California. Great Running Maytag Mod 72 Gas Engine Motor Hit & Miss Wringer Washer #151982X
Offered for sale is a vintage Maytag 2 Stroke. 2 Cylinder Model 72 Maytag Engine. It carries a serial number of 151982X which makes it a 1948 built(approximately) in the month of April of that year. I bought this engine from Zach Northway of Flywheel Supply with intent of mounting it onto a period Maytag washer and using it for show, but life’s dealings are not going to allow that to happen. The engine looks good and it is a“prime” piece of American history. Zach’s shop completely restored this engine. Replacing all necessary parts and fitting all components requiring it. They also gave it break-in run time in his shop. It is ready to run with good spark and compression. No oil or fuel has been in it since its initial rebuild running. So it will be the new owner’s responsibility for fueling it and giving it any additional run time. I only ... moreremoved it from the box in which it was shipped to me long enough to take the pics of it. Please note that the kick pedal and the bolts to hold it in place were removed for shipment and the pics show the bolts not installed. The pedal and bolts will be shipped loose and it will be the responsibility of the new owner to re-install these parts. This is a very nice engine. Maytag Model 92 Gas Hit & Miss Engine Motor-Wringer Washer #498021
This is a model 92 Maytag Engine with the“short. Deep” fuel tank. It carries a serial number of 498021 which makes it a 1933 built(approximately) in the month of June of that year. I bought this engine with intent of getting it running and using it for show, but life's card dealing is making it obvious that I am not going to be able to do that. The engine looks good and is a“prime” piece of American history. I don't see any cracks, breaks, or welds. It turns over freely and has good compression, so I can't imagine it taking too much to get this engine running like a top. It is a nice engine for being near 82 years old. Great for a beginner or an experienced collector that wants to add a nice 92 engine to his/her collection. It could use a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint or get it to run and show as is. This is an excellant"Barn Find" Model 92 Maytag Engine with the“short. Deep” fuel tank. It carries a serial number of 753192 which makes it a 1936 built(approximately) in the month of November of that year. I obtained this engine with intent of getting it running and using it for show. But life's card dealing is making it obvious that I am not going to be able to do that. This engine is a“prime” piece of American history. It looks complete except for the kill switch spring and pull wire. Although the plug wire and cover is not shown in the pics it is included and will be shipped as part of this sale. I don't see any cracks. Breaks, or welds. It turns over freely and has good compression. I cannot imagine it taking too much to get this engine running like a top. Maytag Model 92 Gas Hit& Miss Engine Motor-Wringer Washer serial# 269055 I purchased 5 of these motors from an estate auction was told by family the 5 that were painted green did run. but I have not tried to start them they all have good compression. The one pictured is the one you will receive it has a chip in the flywheel other than that I do not see any breaks or welds. This will be crated to make sure of safe arrival.
