You are bidding on a vintage Wright& McGill Denco 8' No. B- 8A8 7 weight fly rod. This rod is in very good condition. The guides are secure and the wraps are tight. The wraps have minor unravelling on two of the guides as seen in the pictures. The cork is in very good condition with the exception of a small section being trimmed above the reel seat as seen in the last picture. This was probably done to accomodate a larger reel. USA and rod handle has a metal Eagle Claw insignia and metal reel holder on handle is stamped Wright& McGill, Dever, Colo. USA and the stamping is in very good condition(see photo 3) The rod is stamped 6 1/2 Ft. and my rod m easurement is approx. 6' 6 7/8" long and again a two piece rod. For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this great fiberglass rod from Wright McGill Eagle Claw. It is the Denco 8 1/2 foot 2 piece fly fishing rod. It has an downlocking seat. It is marked for 7 weight line but I think it throws a WF-6-F line equally well in my back yard. It was made in Denver Colorado. We have no tube or rod sack for this rod. This rod is used but extremely nice for one of these older eagle claws. Both pieces are exactly the same length. All of the wraps are good and are original. The cork is good and without hook picking. The logo is good and the Eagle Claw emblem is present on the handle. We do ship worldwide but international shipping can be expensive and the length of this rod is ok for some countries. Wright& McGill Eagle Claw"Denco" graphite no. DG300-8.5 ft. 259cm) fly rod. Wright& McGill Co. Denver. CO. 80126 USA. Nylok solid nylon fray proof guide wraps. 1957 the first Denco rod was introduced to the world. Made from quality glass. Denco fast-tip action rods had excellent power and balance. These rods were built for quality at a low-end price. The original Denco rods were made of golden brown glass, red nylon wraps. In the early sixties these rods would change to feature Green nylon wrapping and gold mylar trim. Then once again in 1970 the rods would return to have red nylon wraps. The original Denco rod was then replaced in 1978 by the Denco Super II which could be recognized by the red nylon wrapping with gold trim. There would be two more series of Denco which included the Denco Super 4 and the Denco Graphite rod. ... moreThe last of the Denco series was seen in the 1983 catalog. Retrieved from Eagle Claw website. I believe this rod is the last of the series due to the fact it is made from graphite instead of fibreglass. This is a light rod that is in splendid condition and is ready for use. The rod is 100% original and has never been altered or refinished. I will include a velvet sleeve and plastic tube to protect the rod but is not original with the rod.

This is a Vintage Eagle Claw Wright& McGill‘Denco’ Spinning Fishing Rod IN NICE USED CONDITION. Label on the rod reads No. MB 870M 7 FT MiNi FERRULES. The rod itself shows only light signs of use and has been taken well cared for. The guides show some rust. But not overly excessive like I have seen on some vintage rods. The cork handle shows some staining and there are a few light scratches on the metal reel seat area.
