This is a vintage. Antique Premax Steel 48 in. rod in very nice condition. It is circa 1930's to 1940's. It has a tempered steel rod and diamond knurled walnut finished wood handle grips. The rod and the front part of the handle is in a burgundy color and the hand grip is a natural walnut color. Has a few scuffs. But minor stuff. It has a patent number 2206019 and a label or decal that says"Premax Made in Niagara Falls USA. Check it out in the photo's. I have seen a few of these but never in this condition. This sale is for a Antique vintage fishing rod. This rod has 4 flat square like sides and a wooden handle with a rubber ball type end. This rod is in very good condition. The rubber ball type end does have a few cracks in rubber. This rod is 58 inches long overall and has 3 eyes. I have no idea exactly how old this rod is but was told it was from the 1940s. I cannot find name or any writing on this rod.

This rod is made of steel with 4 telescoping 6 sided hexagonal sections, the eyes and furls look to be nickle plated and brass, the handle is made of cork, the rear reel mounting ring is cracked, all rod sections are strait, no bends, all of the sections extend and collapse smoothly, the finish has some chips on the handle but the rod sections are in very nice condition, the cork handle is dark from use but is in good condition, total length is 107 inches extended, 41 inches collapsed and the handle is 8 1/2 inches

Old True Temper Steel Rod- The American Fork and Hoe Co. Cleveland Ohio A Great Christmas Gift! I have had this for years and never used it. I have not tried to clean it or repair it. It is in the same condition as I found it- in the rafters of my first house. The others I saw researching this piece all seem alittle different in their construction? I haven't seen one exactly like this one. I cannot find a model# other than seen in pic#11 and not sure what is says? The patent info side needs cleaned to read as it is gunked up and some rust over the lettering. The cork looks good to very good to me. The canvas is discolored and has spots. THe eyelet has pulled out of the canvas. There is some shrinkage but it seems like it stretched back into shape it would all go back if this is for restoration? The silver colored metals all have some ... moresurface"corrosions" or discolorations in varing degrees? The bottom silver end disk is either pitted by corrosion or abrasion form use/abuse or storage? Looks like an easy sand/buff? The silver metal on the grip area seems good but has some lightly shiney areas and some darker areas. The metal is smooth with no pitting. That is about all I can describe plus the pictures. It is marked as the"Samson Steel Rod" and it does have a great feel to it, it is surprisingly light and flexible. It extends telescopically from a minimum length of 40 inches to a maximum of 10 feet. The cork handle is a little worn as shown but is intact and the rod is fully functional, although it looks as though there should have been a cap on the handle end. However, so please look over the pictures carefully. Some rust- not sure what the original colors were- appears to be green on the one rod. Cork on the handle seems to be in good shape- no major chunks out of it. Something that could possibly be missing.some of the eyelets have colored inserts in them- not all do. Antique True Temper Fishing Rod Square Steel 55" 1 piece. Bakelite Handle PP
Antique True Temper(American Fork and Hoe Co. Square Steel Fishing Rod. 55 inch, 1 piece. Marked Patent Pending. Probably dates from 1925 to 1930 when True Temper received their first patents. But I could be wrong. There are no patent numbers(or numbers of any kind) to be found on the piece. It does not have the Speedlock introduced in the mid 30's but the standard screw and plate. Two of the three guides are secure. The third could use a tightening but is not in danger of falling off. The Bakelite part of the handle is in good condition with no cracks or chips, just surface wear. The cork handle shows wear but no missing pieces. It has been repaired(re-glued) by an amateur at some point(see photos) The Bakelite name plate under the reel mount has a crack. The rod is secure in the handle. All in all, the rod is in good shape. Antique Steel Fly/Casting Fishing Rod 4 Pc Youngs of Harrow Otter Red Agate Eye
Vintage Black 4 Piece Young of Harrow Otter Steel Rod w/Cork Handle Rubber Tip. This 7 ft 4 section fly/casting rod is black steel with rubber button on the end and cork handle is 11 3/8" long. The reel seat has been stamped Otter Steel Rod Pat. April 02. 07. This antique has red agate eye and a tunnel guide on the first section and ferrules are good with a tight fit at 35" long. The next section is 20" long and has like a double metal eye. Some of the black paint has chipped or wore off. There are spots of rust showing please check the photos. The last section the tip is 20" long with a again double steel eye and an red agate tip. Even with the rust this is a very nice rod in good condition fully intact.

ANTIQUE WINCHESTER 4 PC STEEL FISHING ROD W/BAG MODEL 5565
Winchester Model 5565 4 piece steel casting rod with bag. The rod sections measure 16 1/4 inches each and still retain their original amber agate guides. They do exhibit some paint wear from use. The butt section measures 9 1/2 inches and is engraved with the Winchester trademark and model number. The handle cork is in good shape. Though it is soiled and has a handful of small voids. All the sections fit together nicely. The bag has considerable staining and is worn through in two spots of the flap. The stitching is still well-intact. Will be carefully packaged and shipped Priority Mail.

IT WAS PAINTED SILVER AT ONE TIME AND SOME OF THE PAINT IS COMING OFF AS SEEN IN THE PICS BUT THIS PROBABLY KEPT IT FROM RUSTING OVER THE YEARS. HAS SOME VERY LIGHT RUST IN SOME PLACES AS SEEN IN PICS. EVERYTHING WORKS SMOOTHLY ON THE PARTS THAT MOVE. THANK YOU!
