The original cloth case is showing it's age with a 17" split and one area with some small holes(not pictured)The tag is still very legible with the Bristol name and instructions for care on the reverse side of the tag. The rod weighs in at 9 ozs. I just have never personally seen a vintage Bristol rod in better condition and this would be worthy of any collection.The man who originally purchased this was born in 1912 and the elderly niece I purchased this from believes her uncle acquired this in the 1930's. The rod is not bent or ding. It is a metal of some type. The handle is cork and is in fairly good condition with only a small area of slight damage. See the pictures. It measure 43 3/8" long closed and about 84" when extended out. It might go longer I do know. I did not force it. The handle is marked Bristol. I am selling alot of different items from my families' estate. I am trying to describe and explain everything the best I can. Some of the items I do not know much or anything about. Up for auction is a VINTAGE CHAMPION PRODUCTS? HANDLE ROD" TELESCOPING FISHING POLE. I have a question mark as I am not totally sure this is a Champion Handle Rod. I sold another one that was almost exactly like it recently. But it had Champion Products marked on the metal part of the handle and this one does not. This pole is in very good condtion for it's age. When fully extended it measures approx 58 1/2" and approx 12" when closed. the other one I sold measured approx 59" The cork handle is in good shape; no gouges. I beleive the rod part is made of copper just by the look of it but I am not sure. Please ask any questions before bidding and good luck!

Don't find them quite this nice anymore.A Horrocks& Ibbotson 3308 Mohawk 7 foot telescoping fishing rod in new old stock never used condition. With original tag, protective sleeve, and price tag on label. This was sold at Zinicks in Salt Lake City Utah for 4.50. I remember the place, only because of my age, they went out of business maybe 40 years ago. The pole has never had a reel on it, never used, and quite tight on the telescoping from no use. The one and only thing I see from being totally pristine is the decal has lost a tiny bit, but I show it in close ups and it is not bad at all.
