Vintage Fenwick Voyager Spin Fly Rod 4 Piece Pack Travel Fishing Rod SF74-4
Auction is for a Vintage Fenwick Model SF74-4 4 Piece Voyager Pack/Travel Spinning Rod or Fly Rod Fishing Rod. A nice old rod that shows some signs of use but is in nice used condition. The rod is a 7' Model SF74-4 3 7/8 oz. rod featuring the Fenwick Feraite"Twist on Twist off" sections. Rod was designed for AFTMA Fly Line No.6 and 3-6# line for the spinning rod using 1/8 to 3/8 oz. lures. Each rod section measures approx. 22 1/2" long. The rod is nice but is missing the black butt cap. The label showing serial# I 17223 is coming off at the edges and a couple of the wire eyes are a little misshaped. A neat and nice ol' used Fenwick pack rod. See pictures for condition and bid with confidence!

A very good 4 piece combination pack rod that I have used myself. Labeled No. M4TMU-7 1/2 Line size 7 and MiNi Ferrules The cork handle shows wear. The round emblem on the cork is missing. I see no defects on the fiberglass. Windings and the line guides. This is a proven excellent rod from the 70's. Good aluminum case& sock. The sock in the picture is a little short. So a longer one is replacing it.

Vintage seven foot 4 piece Fenwick SF 74-4'Spin/Fly' combination feralite rod. Cork is in fine condition with very little sign of wear. Markings are all legible. Wraps and eyes appear to be original, straight and intact. Comes with original sock, that shows some wear but is definitely functional and original aluminum tube with both the end bumpers. Overall the rod is in excellent condition and does not appear to have been used very much at all. I have this and several other rods for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if the BUY IT NOW price is offered locally first. Vintage Berkley Travel Pack Rod Fly Spin, model T5C-7
Lightly used combination fly and spin pack rod by Berkley. It's a 5 piece fly rod. Line size 6, or a 5 piece spinning rod. The butt grip at the reel seat reverses. Not sure what line is with the Travel pack. Looks like the rod padding has been replaced which it's a bad thing as the old, original padding has probably fallen apart. Comes with original instructions and warranty card plus 23K gold signature ID tag, never used! This would go on top of the travel rod case. Really nice set for the collector or to be used as the glass ferrules eliminate the dead spots on the rod. The rod feels and handles well. Thanks for looking. Cheers

The rod is the original glass Fenwick SF 74-4 convertible spin/fly pack rod. 4 pc, breaking down to less than 2 ft. case is right at 25 inches) I have owned it for years. It was a spare in case I broke its twin(I had two identical rods) It is unstressed and functionally like new; most of the original"Fenwick" paper sticker is still on the reel seat. The tube has only minor surface smudges, no dents; the tube cap still has the original foam inner-pad. The fly rod takes a#6 fly line(though I would not hesitate to use any of the new 5wts) And if used as a spinning rod(handle reverses) will also take a 2 to 6 lb spinning line and 1/8 to 3/8 oz lures. ... moreIt is 7 ft. long, primarily a versatile trout/grayling rod for backpacking and canoe trips. But back in the day. I and a few other thrill-seeking young-uns were known to use this model for small Alaska salmon also. Hence the need for the duplicate back-up rod. Regrettably. Vintage Fenwick SF74-4 Voyageur Spin/Fly travel pack fishing rod 1977-1978
This is a 1977 to 1978 vintage Fenwick pack or travel rod. It is a model SF74-4 which is a 7 foot spinning or fly rod. It is in excellent condition. All guides are intact and unbent(many of these on Ebay have damaged guides) The decals are not peeling and look great. The cork handles are lightly darkened from handling. There is some scratching on the male ferrules from assembly. Which is normal. The anodizing on the reel seat shows minimal wear. The fiberglass is still glossy with some very minor dings. Comes with a green Fenwick bag, and a Fenwick triangular tube. The tube is not original to the rod, but is the proper size. The lid on the tube closes and snaps, but the little latch is broken as is common to these tubes. Tube shows some wear, dirt, and peeling of the decals. This is a serial numbered rod, many of these sold on ebay are from ... morea later period and not numbered.

Vintage Cook’s“Superba” 4pc 4/1 7½’ 1A2A Pack Spin Fly Rod w/ Fighting Butt NICE! This is a great old pack/ travel rod in very good used condition! It is a combo reversible fly rod/ spinning rod in 4 sections with an extra fighting butt– something you just don’t see much. I believe this was a local take on the venerable Trailmaster series. And it looks as though it hasn’t been fished much or if at all because the finish and wraps are so nice! H. Cook Sporting Goods was a local(New Mexico) sporting goods chain that wrapped and finished custom rods in addition to being a full-service all-sports store. And I think this rod is one of theirs. They started in 1965, but of course this is much later. In doing a couple of searches, there are other sporting goods stores throughout the country that go by the name of Cook’s(notably Dave Cook in ... moreDenver who also made a“Superba” about this time period) so I could be wrong about this rod, but I was told that this was bought locally so H. Cook is my best guess. They have long since closed their retail stores. But I remember shopping them when I was a kid with my dad, so I can verify that they at least did nice work. While this is not a top-of-the-line ultra high-quality rod. It’s put together well. All sections are the correct/matching length. All guides are in good shape and present and accounted for, and all the wraps are intact. The finish is beautiful, clear, and has great color. The ferrules are bright and shiny. And fit nice and tight with no“clicking” or weak feeling when the rod is flexed. They may need to be worked some because they may be a little too tight. But to me that’s further proof that the rod hasn’t been fished much. The corks shows very little sign of use and the finishes on the reel seat are nice and bright. I wouldn’t hesitate to pack this one into the back country! The decal has a couple of flakes. But is still nice and vibrant and completely legible. Up for sale is a Wright& McGill 4pc. Trailmaster No. M4TMU-7 1/2 Eagle Claw Fly Spin Pack Rod. This Trailmaster pack rod is in mint condition that looks to have never been used. It is a 4 piece 7' 6" spin fly rod with mini-ferrules. The rod is marked for 7 weight fly line and would handle 4-10 pound mono. The original paperwork is with it but the yellow life time guarantee card is fragile condition. The cloth bag and aluminum tube are in new condition. The pictures are part of this description so please look them over closely. They say pictures are worth a thousand words.
