2 Fishing Creels with leather trim. 1st creel is in overall good vintage condition save the top closing strap which is missing the end as pictures- the strap is intact. Front snap leather pocket, interior in good shape, bottom stamped"Made in Japan 15" as pictured. Unsure if the body is a bamboo material. 2nd creel is missing strap and top closure, back handle is broken as pictured, bamboo or wicker material all intact. Leather detail on exterior. 3 fishing lures. 1st is large measures appx. 6 1/2 inches marked"Cisco Kid" 2nd lure red/white measures appx. 3 1/2 inches no marker mark. 3rd small appx. 1 1/2 inches stamped F5. Vtg Rare C.H. Masland & Sons Fly Fishing Vest Creel Est. 1866 Nice!!!
Color of item is actually brown. My photos are all over the place. Garment has a few light stains, did not try to wash. I forgot to photograph inside of pockets, they are reenforced at flaps. This is a very well made vest that I obtained roughly 30 odd years ago from a man that was 70+ years old. He had it for as long as he could recollect. No rips or tears, lots of pockets, fully adjustable suspenders and front straps with snaps. One size fits most. Very light weight vest. Great item for the nostalgic fisherman. Vintage Fly Fishing Wicker Basket Creel Fisherman's Basket
Welcome! Up for auction is this great woven vintage fishing creel! It is in nice condition. With a few flaws as follows. There are some broken strands along the sides at the bottom. There are a few cracks in the bark that makes up the strap that goes around the basket. They are in the front at the very bottom and there is one chipped spot towards the left side of the photo about midway up. These flaws are visible in the photos if you zoom in on them. Other than those listed, the main part of the basket is in very nice condition, finished with a shiny gloss. The strap makes a twenty inch loop. The hinges are intact and in good condition, but the lid needs a bit of adjustment when opened. Feel free to email me with questions or for more photos. Vintage 1800's Large Bait Box or Metal Fishing Creel or Tackle Box for Lures
Vintage. Very unique, rustic metal bait box or creel. I have been told this is probably from the late 1800's and is possibly English. There is no name or manufacturers mark that I have been able to find. I do know this a very well made, old metal box probably used for live bait or it could have been used as a trout creel or could have carried fishing lures. The hinged lid on the top works very well as does the large comfortable handle. There are no holes in the unit, but it does have some marks and a few dents in the metal. Approx size is 16" long x 8" wide x 13" to the top of the handle(the box itself is about 8" tall) Weight of the box is approx 4.7 Lbs. Very unique and I have never seen another like this.

NICE CLEAN GEORGE LAWRENCE MODEL 4 LEATHERED SPLIT WILLOW BASKET CREEL
Here's a nice clean George Lawrence Supreme Model 4 leathered split willow basket creel. These were made prior to 1931 when the model number was changed to 4A. The basket has some breakage of the wraps on the board on the bottom but is otherwise flawless and has a nice patina. It's solid and sound and the leather is nice and clean and flexible all around. It's leathered with cow hide leather and embossed with the standard square rope tooling that appeared on most Supreme model Lawrence creels. It includes a standard model 1 1/2 Lawrence tooled cow hide leather shoulder strap. This is 15 inches wide and has a flat back as most all of the model 4 Supreme creels did. VERY LARGE LEATHERED SPLIT WILLOW BASKET POCKETED CREEL - NICE AND CLEAN
Here's a nice clean condition leathered split willow basket creel with front pocket. The basket is in great shape with no breakage. The leather is all in nice shape as well with no cracking or chipping. This was probably made in the late 1950's. Nicely made with pig skin leather. It includes a nice clean matching pig skin shoulder strap. This is a very large creel marked number 17 and actually measures 16 1/2 inches wide and has a curved back to fit the hip. Would make a fine display piece or a fine creel to use. I've been collecting creels for years and just recently realized I'm totally out of space to display them. EXCELLENT EARLY MARSHALL WELLS LEATHERED SPLIT WILLOW BASKET CREEL
Here's an excellent early Marshall Wells leathered split willow basket creel. I've enclosed a pic of the listing from the 1924 Marshall Wells catalog showing these creels. This one has half the top covered with leather and has a brown stained basket. The leather is super clean with no chipping or cracking and is nice and flexible. It's leathered with cow hide leather. It includes a complete Marshall Wells marked cow hide leather shoulder strap. This is about 14 inches wide and has a flat back as did most all of the baskets used on Marshall Wells creels. There has been some question about weather Marshall Wells actually leathered their own creels or just sold creels made elsewhere. Their 1927 catalog mentions the creels were built in their own factory and that was about the time they bought out John Clark Saddlery. Vintage Antique Leather Split Woven Willow Wicker Fly Fishing Creel Basket VGC
Up for auction is a very nice split willow and leather fishing creel from early 1900's. The only real issue I see with this piece is the leather closure strap is broke. Although it is present and will be included for possible repair. Otherwise the basket is tight with little to no damage. The leather on the rest of the creel looks to be in very good condition as well. Slight discoloration inside on the bottom which just gives it credibility. Good luck.
