2 Vtg Actionrod Extendo 5216 Fiberglass 1950s Fishing Pole Sport Brooklure Reel We have a total of two extending fishing rods. The first one is a Action Rod Extendo Model 5216. I believe is a product of Orchard Industries in Detroit. MI. It is a telescoping rod which when contained in itself has a black rubber cane like stopper on the base. It is made of fiberglass( and is approx. 11 1/2 feet when fully extended. The reel on it is marked Brooklure precision bilt. I'm not sure about the age of this combo but when I bought my house in Hatfield. Ma in 1995 I found this rod and reel in the ceiling of the cellar. I never took them out or had anyone look at them until now because I moved and took it with me. The reel is a Horrocks Ibbotson#150 in working condition. The rod is HCH-D actionrod tubular#1586 glass and is 8' 6" two piece.

For bid is this good condition used Vintage Actionrod Fly Rod Casting Rod 2pc 6'10" for fishin fish. I do not know much about fishing rods but will try and describe. This is my fathers. This rod when put together is about 6' 10" or when apart about 42 1/2" This rod is marked as you see in picture 2. Actionrod. The top section is about 1 3/4" shorter than the lower section and i would say the tip was never broke. The cork handle looks good, clean. The reel mount rings can be moved low for a fly reel or moved high for a casting reel and as you can see the reel mount rings look good. The cork handle looks good but it does have a small nick on the bottom as you see in picture 4. The eyes or line guides look good. Antique Pentagonal Wood Fly Fishing Rod The 3 piece rod is almost 9 feet long& comes with the original storage tube. Which does have a bit of water staining. The tube is 46 5/8" long and 2" in diameter. The metal tube cover indicates this rod is a Actionrod- model 2076- made in Hastings, Michigan. The rod handle is made of cork, with some of the paint flaking. The reel holding mechanism is in great shape. The top piece is 33 5/8" long& has damage to one of the eyes; the middle section is 36 5/8" long& has one of the eyes missing& the base metal piece has a crack in it, which does not impede the setting of the next rod piece; the base piece is 36 5/8" long. The top& middle rod sections are not 100% straight, but be trained into straightness if one wanted to. The rod has a total of 6 eyes- two of ... morewhich need replacement- the other 4 are in fine shape. The rod fits together very nicely and securely. It is 105" long when fitted together. It is used and is showing wear. The tip is broken and the cork handle is mostly gone. We did clean off the surface dirt but it could probably benefit from a detailed cleaning. Antique HEXAGONAL Split Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod The 3 piece rod is almost 9 feet long& comes in a storage tube that once housed an Actionrod- model 2076. Which does have a bit of water staining. Not sure what the brand name of this rod is- can't make it out clearly, but it is not an Actionrod 2076. The tube is 46 5/8" long and 2" in diameter. The metal tube cover indicates this was originally for an Actionrod- model 2076- made in Hastings, Michigan. The rod handle is made of cork, with some of the paint flaking. The reel holding mechanism is in great shape. The top piece is 33 5/8" long& has damage to one of the eyes; the middle section is 36 5/8" long& has one of the eyes missing& the base metal piece has a crack in it, which does not impede the setting of the next rod piece; the base piece is 36 5/8" ... morelong. The top& middle rod sections are not 100% straight, but could be trained into straightness if one wanted to. The rod has a total of 6 eyes- two of which need replacement- the other 4 are in fine shape. The rod fits together very nicely and securely. It is 105" long when fitted together. The rod& tube weigh about 1 lb. The pictures describe the item better than my vernacular can. Vtg. Never Used Nice Actionrod Model #6700 Telescopic Spinning Fishing Rod 6’10”
It’s in new condition and there’s no doubt that it’s never been used. It still has it’s original clear plastic sock. It has a cork handle and fore grip with a metal reel mount and a hook keeper. When extended. It measures 6 ft. 10 inches. When retracted, it measures 28 inches. Although it’s very collectable, it’s perfect for portaging, backpacking, transporting and storing. It appears to be made of fiberglass. Also perfect for tucking it under the seat of a pick-up or car. I’m quite sure that it was made by Orchard Industries of Detroit, Michigan.
