You are bidding on a good Vintage NOS Bamboo De luxe Complete Fishing Set in the original box. I do not think that this has ever been used. But one of the rod tips does have the end eyelet broken off. Included are(3) different end rod sections to change to depending on if you are fly fishing, spin casting or bait casting. You just change your reel to what ever type of fishing you are doing. The package says it will accept all tops of reels. As you can see in the pictures are some unopened packages of Flies, leaders, line,bobbers and hooks. Except for the one broken type this set is in excellent condition, in the original packaging. Vintage Bamboo Fly- Cast combo Rod- 7 piece- very unusual
A very interesting 7 piece Bamboo fly- casting combo rod. With adapter it can be made into 3 different size rods. The handle can be turned around- for fly or cast? although all the guides look all fly to me. It makes into two 7'6" one with light tip and one with heavier tip. And a 9'6" light fly rod. The bag fits all the pieces- but is in rough shape The overall condition is very good+. The wraps. And guides are very good- a couple of guides are loose- not bad. Cork is nice and full. All sections are correct length, with a slight bow on a few. The metal has some tarnish. Has a small nick on the reel seat. See all the pictures for condition. And please email me with any questions. VINTAGE ORVIS ROD AND SPINNING REEL COMBO BAMBOO BATTENKILL 6' 6" fly fishing
This is being offered by my elderly neighbor who has fished Oneida Lake his whole life. His gear has had only one owner and has been very well taken care of. He wants them to go to a new good home. This is an Orvis rod and reel combo from the 1960's. The rod is split bamboo and is signed"Orvis Impregnated Battenkill" and measures 6' 6" in 2 pieces. The reel is an Orvis 300 made in Italy and works well.

The rod in casting configuration is two pieces, approximately 68" in length. The fly configuration is three pieces, approximately 103" in length. The reel holder tightens firmly. The handle is cork and does have a chunk out of it(probably where hooks were placed into it, see pictures) The center section of the fly configuration has slightly darker cane and the wrappings are dark blue not dark green, however all the pieces fit together properly and firm. Vintage Japanese Bamboo Combo 8' Fly Fishing Rod, 5' 4" Casting Rod, Wooden Box
This rod is being sold as a restoration project. This is an easy one. The three piece two tip 8' fly rod is straight and all pieces are the correct length. Likewise. The two piece casting component is straight and the correct length. The black finish on the bamboo is also very good, very minor chips. The cork grip is clean, no chips. The reel seat could use cleaning, but in very good condition. So what needs work? All of the ferrules are properly tight but should be checked as to seating. The wraps and guides need to be replaced or rewound on the butt, mid and one tip section on the fly rod configuration. That's about it. This comes in a neat wooden"Emperor" fishing kit which is not original to the rod.

Vintage 5 Piece Bamboo Spin/fly Combo rod in Wooden box/Japan/Valiant/Clean!
A neat old 5 piece bamboo fishing rod. Made in Japan, for the collector or fishing enthusiast. Brand on the rod is Valiant. Nice label with mount Fuji I believe. 8 ft. rod when put together. Fly rod has two tips and a third tip for spin fishing. Box is dirty and the Valiant label is mostly gone. Hinges need to be nailed back on the back side. The clasp on the front side still in place and keep it closed. Top or lid of the box doubles as a tackle and fly box. The original bobber, hand line, and three flies are still in place. The bobber is sealed and marked Valiant also. One winding is coming undone near the cork. All other thread windings look good and solid. All the tips are present and correct. "RARE FIND" WWII era Bamboo Spinning, Fly and Casting Rod Combo
This is an exceptionally rare find. This is an original Gold Tiger Bamboo combination rod that has nearly no signs of use. The box. On the other hand, is dated. The wood is stained but the hardware works fine to lock the lid. Please note the defect on the right top lid of the wooden box. Otherwise, the rod itself is impecable. It is in great shape for its age all the eye are straight and complete the bamboo is in great shape as well as the cork not all chunked up. This is in overall great shape with little use. Up for auction is a c.1950's- 60's vintage bamboo fishing rod combo. The 39 1/4" long wooden box set seems to have never been used. The rod carries the lable name"NEW POWER" Inside the box it houses: the 8' fly rod w/ 1 extra tip& the 5' 4" bait casting rod(combo) 1 bobber, 1 wooden/bamboo line holder, nylon line pack, cat-gut line pack, 17 flies and 1 pack of#1 snelled hooks. The reel with this set was not originally in the box but was located with other vintage fishing equiptment. The reel has no name but is stamped"5-49" and"Made in Japan" It functions like a McGill/ Wright Freline Reel and it seems to be in very good condition. VINTAGE FLY FISHING ROD JAPANESE BAMBOO FLY/SPINNING COMBO
This is the last of a set of three of these rods that I owned. They were bought by a soldier returning to the U.S. in the 40's. It's in near perfect condition and has two fly rod tips. And one spinning tip so you can reverse the handle to make it a spinning rod! It's in fantastic condition and shows the skill of the Japanese craftsmen with it's beautiful full length windings! VINTAGE BAMBOO FLY ROD/ CASTING ROD SPLITSWITCH??? COMBO
Vintage Slip Switch-style bamboo fly/ casting combo. There isn't a manufacturer's designation on the rod or hardware except for a'700' in script just above the foregrip. The rod measures about 5'7" when assembled as a casting rod and about 8'7" as a fly rod. The tip section of the casting portion and the middle fly rod portion are equal in length. The fly rod tip is about 3/8" shorter. The finish appears to be original and is in very nice condition with few blemishes/ hazy/ rough spots. The male ferrule of the bottom section has a hairline crack. But still fits well in either end of the butt section. The other ferrules fit very nicely together as well, though the bamboo shafts are just a tad loose inside them from dried/ aged adhesive. The casting tip section is missing its bottom guide and the middle ... moreguide is loose and needs to be re-wound. The guides and wraps on the fly sections look quite good. Both tips have a slight to moderate set in them. Will be carefully packaged and shipped Priority Mail.

Vintage Eagle Bamboo Fly. Spin& Sea Rod Kit. Comes in Original Wood box with silk lines. Indicators and flies as pictured. Once assembled the fly rod is about 9' and has two tip sections included. The handle can be reversed to be used as either a fly rod or a spinning/casting rod. There is a handle. A short first section that the handle attaches to, a spinning/casting tip, a mid section for the fly rod and two fly rod tips. When assembled as a fly rod the length is 8' as a casting rod; 5' 5" Four bamboo sections are in Excellent Condition. The handle and first bamboo section are Very Good. Classic Unmarked Bamboo Combo Casting/Fly Fishing Rod On Frame For Restoration.
This vintage rod needs to be restored. Since the varnish is dark and alligatored. This outfit has a removable handle section which can be reversed to put the reel seat in the proper place for casting or fly rod use. The casting rod measures 6 ft. all the proper length. Other than the varnish this is in very good condition, the sections essentially straight, proper length, ferrule good and tight. Note that all guides and the tip top have agate inserts. The fly rod configuration measures about 8'8" assembled. The butt section measures 37 3/4" with the handle attached, 34' on the mid section and 32" on the tip section. The ferrule between butt and mid is proper. Note that the female ferrule on the mid needs to be reset, the ferrule is a different design with a soldered welt and the fit to the tip section is extremely tight. ... moreThe tip top is an old style three-ring triangular type. 1940’s Complete 5 Piece Bamboo Fly/Casting Rod Combo W/ Tackle
I picked this up from an estate sale so I really don’t know too much about these things but I will describe this to the best I can. This is still new unused in the original carrying box. This was put away and forgotten. It includes a 5 piece bamboo combo fly/casting rod made by EAGLE TOYKO JAPAN. This is a very complete set. If you unslide the top of the box it comes with all the tackle that was included when you bought this new. Some of the packages are starting to open up from age but never used. These don’t come along in this condition very often. I think this was put away and forgotten about until the estate sale.

Antique 1930’s 4pc Bamboo Fly Rod Combo W/pouch
I picked this up at an estate sale and really know nothing about the history. This is a 4 piece bamboo fly rod combo pole from the 1930’s. It comes with a pouch not sure if it is the original? The only marking on the pole or handle is the pat no 1879795. That’s it no other markings. See photo. The pole has been used but is in pretty good condition for its age. The cork handle is all intact not chunking or splitting the only thing missing from the handle is a small rubber cap for the end of the pole. It has all the eyes and they are in good shape not all bent up. The bamboo is also in good condition no splitting or cracks. The joints to put this together are round and not smashed or out of round. It could use a good clean up and polishing but I will leave that up to the new owner. I really don’t know what more to describe this is a old fly ... morerod combo pole in good shape. Vintage 8' 3/3 bamboo fly rod/bait rod combo. I cannot read the label. This will make an excellent project rod for a bamboo rebuild. I think this would be a perfect 6wt rod with a very nice med/slow action. Good ferrules and excellent chip free cork. Fly rod is a 8' 3/2, 4 piece(all full length) rod. Possibly a nickel finish on the seat and ferrules with brass showing through in places. Tip tops and 1 guide present. 3 pieces are pretty straight but one tip has a slight casting set. Cane look very good, I see no splits or separations. 2 piece bait rod is 5'5" Cane is good, tip top and one guide are present. Handle reverses for bait or fly reel. Antique 8' split bamboo fly casting combo fishing rod raised pillar fly reel box
4 piece gold tiger split bamboo fly rod in the original box. The extra tip seats to the butt section to make it a 64" casting rod. The rod I believe was made in japan. Im not 100 percent on that. The rod is in great shape for the age, all the eyes are there and the wraps look good. The gold tiger label is a little worn, but you have no problem identifying the maker. Also I added a raised pillar fly reel. It is also make in japan. The reel works good overall, the only thing I noticed it every once in a while the clicker button will slide down while reeling. And finally it is marked cayo japan on the reel seat. I tried my best to describe this combo. But make sure to look at all the pictures closely. the photos are of the item you will receive. guessing circa 1950. i don't see anything missing. i don't see any repairs. these were purchased in wooden boxes from japan and had neat little storage for fly's in butt of handle. part label remains/unreadable but someone might recognize design outline of label. everything matches 4 piece. butt piece works either with tip for casting or with middle section and different tip for fly rod casting. Fabulous condition for age. Extremely well made!
