You are bidding on a vintage Wright& McGill Denco 8' No. B- 8A8 7 weight fly rod. This rod is in very good condition. The guides are secure and the wraps are tight. The wraps have minor unravelling on two of the guides as seen in the pictures. The cork is in very good condition with the exception of a small section being trimmed above the reel seat as seen in the last picture. This was probably done to accomodate a larger reel. The seat is in good condition, all parts are intact and working correctly, the cork is good, no tears, just normal wear. The rod itself has some marks from catching fish! The eyelets have slight rust on outside, inside of eyelets are in good shape. This Rod is ready to catch more fish, Fish ON! For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this great fiberglass rod from Wright McGill Eagle Claw. It is the Denco 8 1/2 foot 2 piece fly fishing rod. It has an downlocking seat. It is marked for 7 weight line but I think it throws a WF-6-F line equally well in my back yard. It was made in Denver Colorado. We have no tube or rod sack for this rod. This rod is used but extremely nice for one of these older eagle claws. Both pieces are exactly the same length. All of the wraps are good and are original. The cork is good and without hook picking. The logo is good and the Eagle Claw emblem is present on the handle. We do ship worldwide but international shipping can be expensive and the length of this rod is ok for some countries. Vintage (1978) Eagle Claw "Denco Super II" Spin cast fishing rod
This vintage used spin cast fishing rod is the Eagle Claw"Denco Super II" spin cast rod. The serial number is DSCM 327. And the rod is rated at 5 1/2 feet. The rod was made by Wright and McGill, Denver, Colorado. The date of this rod is established by the color of the guide wrap and trim. Rods with the distinctive bright red wrap with gold trim were manufactured in 1978. The Denco series was introduced in 1957 and last produced in 1983. The rod is in very good condition, all wraps are intact, no fraying or cracks and the guides are original with porcelain inner loops. The rod has some wear from being used, a few scratches(for example see last photo) There are no cracks or splits. This is a solid rod and ready to go!

I have recently acquired a collection of vintage fishing equipment. While I am not an expert in this area. I believe there are some interesting items. The item up for auction is an Eagle Claw. Denco" fishing rod. The writing on the rod indicates it is a 6 ft worm rod. MB1360X. Manufactured by Wright and McGill Co, Denver, Colorado. This item appears to be complete. All the eyes for holding the line are in place. There is some sticky substance on the handle. That I believe is from an old price sticker. There is some scuffing on the paint near where the reel goes on. I think the Eagle Claw emblem is not original because you can see a dark circle just below it which looks like where the original was. The rod itself shows only light signs of use and has been taken well cared for. The guides show some rust. But not overly excessive like I have seen on some vintage rods. The cork handle shows some staining and there are a few light scratches on the metal reel seat area. Also, the very top of the cork has a couple small splits near the metal Eagle Claw emblem, but no pieces of cork are missing. This is a two piece rod that when assembled measures 7 Feet Long. It has five line guides with very nice wraps. Vintage Eagle Claw Denco Super Ii 8.5' Spinning Rod 2 Piece Fresh & Salt Water
This is a great 2 piece 8 1/2 foot rod. It is pretty good condition. A few minor scraps but not not bad at all. The upper eyes have just a tiny bit of light surface rust in places but as you can see by the wrap this rod is still in decent shape. Lots of life left in it. It will be shipped in white 3 inch PVC pipe. Sorry I know it adds weight and cost to the shipping. It also cost me $9 to buy it. But I want you to get your rod unbroken. Up for bids is this very nice old vintage fiberglass Eagle Claw 5 1/2' spinning rod with the following wording printed on the rod: EAGLE CLAW DENCO SUPER ll DSSU129- 5 1/2FT(168 CM) SPIN ROD WRIGHT& McGILL CO DENVER. CO. 80216 U.S.A. This rod is in excellent condition. None of the eyes are bent. There is no broken thread on where the eyes are wrapped to the rod and the cork on the handle is also in great condition but has some minor chipping on the very bottom of the top piece, no big deal at all. I acquired the contents within the house of an elderly gentleman who passed away. And many of the items have not been used for several years. Almost all of the items were well taken care of and certainly were never abused. I am listed today(3) vintage(SPINNING RODS) so if these are items you are interested in.
