This is a very clean and good working unit. only has a few very small size nicks in the paint. The Refrigeration works great and gets to-10c quick. And I observed it get to-12c(see pics with ice crystal formation in tub above. I also tested the centrifuge part of this unit and it also works great. I tested it up to 13.500 RPM's(I did not want to spin it any faster as the rotor says it is a 13.500 RPM"MAX" Rotor.The door lock works great, the rotor brake works great. The rubber door gasket is in excellent condition with no rips or tears and is very pliable. Unit has all 4 of the rubber feet on the bottom. This is a special set with 2 rotors, 216& 811A that still working great. Please see the attached photos Photo 1: Equipped with the Swinging Bucket Rotor#216 with all 4 buckets and 50ml tubes adapter. Photo 2: Equipped with the Fixed Angle Rotor#811A. Showing room temperature at 20C. Photo 3: Setting run time at 30 minutes and target temp at 4C. The precooling run at 1000 rpm cooled the system down from 20C to 4C in a few minutes. Photo 4: Now we set new speed to 3400 rpm(optimum speed for#216 Rotor) And the system temperature still be at 3C- 4C. Photo 5: Now we increased speed to 5600 rpm(optimum speed for#811A Rotor) And the system temperature still be around 3C- 4C. Speed Control Accuracy in the original specs was +/ 10 rpm. But the current actual accuracy is about 10- 15 rpm below the target speed. b. After precooling. The actual temperature during running time of pre-chilled sample was a bit lower than target temperature. c. With unknown reason. The Braking System sometimes does not work. It can stop the spinning from 5600 rpm to 0 rpm in less than 2 minutes as seen in the photos, but sometimes it takes 4-5 minutes to stop in the similar situation. d. As a security feature. You cannot start the machine if the lid is not securely closed. If the machine didn't run after you push the Start button, push Stop/Open button then open the lid and close the lid tightly then try the Start button again.
