Up for Sale is an IEC Centra-8R Refrigerated Centrifuge w/ Model 216 Swinging Bucket Rotor! This centrifuge is in very nice physical condition. The only thing that I feel I should note is that the lid latches do not line up exactly with the holes in the body of the centrifuge(it is only about 1/8" off) So you have to slightly adjust the lid to the right in order to close the lid and have it lock in place. This is really not that big of an issue, as the lid does lock shut just fine. Just thought that I'd mention it. It has been tested to be in good working order. The refrigeration unit works just as it should and it c ools to the set temperature. The RPMs seemed to increase slower than I'm used to with smaller centrifuges. The Sorvall centrifuge is in fair overall cosmetic condition. There is some minor rusting on the left side panels covering the condenser. Does not inhibit function. The centrifuge powered on and the display screens came on. The display screens are bright and can be read easily. The centrifuge responded to the controls and the lid opens and closed with ease. I was able to operate the centrifuge at 600 RPM and it lowered from 18 °C to-10 °C in a ten minute span. The centrifuge is in good working condition. Rotor Type: Sorvall H1000B- Buckets are included.
