There are a couple of places where the steel is slightly tarnished and slide holders are a little bent from years of use. There is also some very minor corrosion on them as well. The piece comes with several accessories such as two sets of eye pieces, the original tool to loosen the scope, to swivel on its base and the original bottle of oil to lube it's parts.All this and more is wrapped up in a timeless handcrafted wood box with lock and key. I am guessing that the use for this apparatus was to take pictures of f microscope slides. It obviously was to be bolted to a st aging area and the n looked tho ugh. It is were placed o ver the table o f a microscope. And a light were shone up through a slide under the assembly, it would show a magnified view of the slide in the top eyepiece. Placing a camera over the lens, one could then take pictures of the magnified slide. The complete assembly has a screw on top lens. Over a barrel lens. The item is 3 7/8" tall. The base is 3 1/8" X 3 5/16" The barrel is 1 3/4" in diameter. It is not marked as to maker. There are stamped number on the bottom(56.35 and 26. On the interior top flan g e is the number 55. This may need just a little TLC or it may need a lot of work- We simply do not know. Unit has been stored for a long time and there is a bit of surface tarnish on some of the parts. The connection on the Polaroid camera attachment looks like it's messed up. Please see the photos, and forgive my ignorance. The objective lenses look like they're all there. And in good condition. They appear to all be Bausch& Lomb Some of the part numbers I'm seeing are- Micromanipulator 6000 Bausch& Lomb 31-32-44 with 31-31-01 Lamp Model 450 and 550 We're seeing people list these for thousands of dollars. I have yet to see one sell for those prices. Please make a reasonable offer. We're going to be spending a lot of time and money on shipping this and making sure it arrives safely. It's heavy. And still seems to have a lot of value.
