As you can see from the pics, they all have varying degrees of cosmetic wear such as scuffs, scratches, residual marking tape adhesive, and rust spots. They have all been tested appear to be fully functional so unless you're entering them into a beauty contest the cosmetics shouldn't matter too much. Items not as described can be returned for a full refund within 14 days. You can refer to the pictures as I describe the differences: Unit#1: This is the one with the black base and is featured in the first 3 pictures. Overall it is the nicest cosmetically. It has a working locking mechanism for the lid. I noted that the speed adjustment dial is a little loose. But does adjust to all speed settings without any ... moreproblems. Unit#2: This is the one with the tan speed adjustment knob and a serial number beginning in 428. I would say this one is slightly rougher cosmetically than#1 and also has a working locking mechanism for the lid. I noted that this one was a little noisier than the other two while running. Unit#3: This one is featured in the last 3 pics and is identified by the serial number AB0643. As you can see from the pics. This one is in the roughest shape cosmetically, but it runs smoothly. This one did not come outfitted with a locking mechanism for the lid. Note that the plug on the powercord has been replaced(as seen in pics) It still works fine, but I'm just noting it in the interest of full disclosure.
