When powered ... moreon. Lid will not open from the control panel or manual release cable(read below for full details) Using a front control panel from another unit I was able to test the unit. It turned on. Spun up to 12500 RPM, cooled down to-9 C and there was frost on the inside when it was done. The lid opened when I pressed the Open button. It later gave an Error 2 message which is an Imbalance Sensor Defective error and the manual says to"Repeat Run" which I did. Error message didn't go away after trying it twice. I put the original front control panel back onto the unit and it still reads Error 17. This is how you will receive it. Cosmetically the unit is in very used condition. The lid is cracked on the inside(see photos) and the outer lid shell is broken off and has been held on by velcro. Unit has scuffs and scratches all over body. The Manual Release cable is broken and it appears the previous own replaced it with some strong wire strand- not the normal nylon string that manufacturer uses. Please see the photo's provided. Up for sale is nice eppendorf 5417R refrigerated microcentrifuge. This unit is in good cosmetic condition but when it powers up it displays an error. Error 18" There is no rotor included. This is sold as-is for repair or to be used as parts. This is from a local university lab and i was told if i turn the unit on and off the error would go away. I didnt but the error appear more times on average of on/off test. This is therefore once again sold as-is. Shipping will be based on your zip code or location. With a F45-30-11 Rotor(sorry, it has NO LID) appears to be in good cosmetic condition, although there are a few small dings, scratches, signs of previous use. Please look at the photos. The unit powers-up and spins up to 20,000 RPM smooth although the rotor whistles due to no lid. When first powered-up the ambient temperature displayed was about 23°C. I set the unit at-9°C and turned the rotor on the lowest speed setting 27RPM and let it run. The refrigeration unit turned on and sounded smooth and was quiet. Soon I saw the temperature dropping. Item powers on and is fully functional. Needs new lid cover and will not open due the right latch spring malfunction. Item may also contains a rotor in witch I offer as a bonus to the buyer because I've no desire to attempt opening the hatch. i've tested this unit to cool down to-9C and run up to it's max rpm of over 20000! it functions flawlessly. Fast cold works. Timer works, it's just a nice unit all around.

Eppendorf Refrigerated Micro Centrifuge Microcentrifuge 5417R- Error 17 ITEM DESCRIPTION: Unit shows an Error 17 message = Electronics Error. When powered on. Lid will not open from the control panel or manual release cable(read below for full details) Using a front control panel from another unit I was able to test the unit. It turned on. Spun up to 12500 RPM, cooled down to-9 C and there was frost on the inside when it was done. The lid opened when I pressed the Open button. It later gave an Error 2 message which is an Imbalance Sensor Defective error and the manual says to"Repeat Run" which I did. Error message didn't go away after trying it twice. I put the original front control panel back onto the unit and it still reads Error 17. This is how you will receive it. Cosmetically the unit is in very used condition. The lid ... moreis cracked on the inside(see photos) and the outer lid shell is broken off and has been held on by velcro. Unit has scuffs and scratches all over body. The Manual Release cable is broken and it appears the previous own replaced it with some strong wire strand- not the normal nylon string that manufacturer uses. Please see the photo's provided.
