Up for sale is a used Kendro Heraeus 2004 Multifuge 3L-R Refrigerated Centrifuge with 5850 RPM Rotor as can be seen in the pictures. This unit was acquired from a working environment and is in good condition cosmetically and functionally. However, it's sold as-is, as described. We ran several tests on this unit and the centrifuge operated smoothly and quietly. What I was able to observe while testing the centrifuge is that the lcd appears to be faint for some segments and also the thermostat maybe isn't working properly. Since when I programmed the centrifuge to cool down to-4 degrees celsius, I was able to get frost in the chamber but the display was only indicating a temperature of only positive 8 degrees celsius after 15 minutes. And a couple spots of residual tape adhesive. Overall it's a nice clean unit. As you can see from the pictures it powers on. I spun the rotor around manually and it spins very fluidly. When I pressed start it started spinning but was off balance, and tripped the GFI outlet it was plugged into. I reset the GFI and it powered back on and did the same thing again. I'm not sure if that has to do with it being off balance(an automatic safety switch? or some other issue. No further tests were performed. Due to not having been used for the past year or so, the mechanical door lock gets stuck The lock will need to be lubricated. As sometimes the door sticks open while other times it sticks closed.
