Sorvall Legend RT Centrifuge Up for auction is this used Sorvall Legend RT Centrifuge. This item is in good cosmetic condition with some minor wear including scuff marks and scratches but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The function buttons are in good condition. The rotor is not included in the sale. The lid seal is in good condition with no cracks. Please refer to the photos below for more details on the item. This item was plugged in and did not power on. We examined the item and were able to determine the imbalance detector sensor was triggered. We reset this sensor and the item powered without any issues. We inserted a Sorvall rotor into the item and turned the item to 4500 rpm(rotor max) and 0 degrees. The item started to rotate without any issues. The item reached around 155 rpm before stating error"e-21. We ... moreresearched the error and it is an improper or missing rotor. We examined the item. Removed and reinserted the rotor and restarted the item. The item again came up with the same error. We removed the rotor and tried running the item without a rotor and the item reached 135 rpm before stoping due to a missing rotor error. Up for auction today is a Thermo Scientific Sorvall Legend T+ EASYset Centrifuge. The unit appears to be in great working condition after our testing. This auction includes a Thermo Scientific Rotor as well as 4 inserts for the rotor(shown in pictures) The only thing that may be disfunctional with this unit is the lid- it does not stay raised on its own and you have to hold or prop it open. There are some scratches and scuffs from previous use. But no major cosmetic damages. Overall this unit appears to be in great shape.
