I started it up and went up to 15k rpm momentarily(I didn't go to max as it doesn't have a rotor and I wasn't sure it was good to run it for a long time with no rotor) I lowered the temp range needles to a bit below-10C and it did indeed get that low. I'm not an expert on this type of equipment by any means, but it looks to me like this one is in good working order. Nice cosmetic shape too, though the top needs the dust cleaned off.
