It took the rotor speed under 1 minute to reach 3400RPM(on the display) When the rotor speed reached 2300RPM, the top lid began to shake loudly. It took about 15 minutes for the temperature to reach-5°C(on the display) Once the temperature reached-5°C, we opened the lid and the chamber wall had frost. The Beckman Allegra 21R is a microprocessor-controlled refrigerated benchtop centrifuge with a maximum speed of 15300 RPM. This centrifuge features a brushless motor for low maintenance. And has a stainless steel chamber and enamel housing that provide excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. Operator protection is ensured by dual electromechanical door locks, a steel barrier that surrounds the rotor chamber, an automatic rotor identification system that prevents the installed rotor from running above its maximum rated speed, and an imbalance detector that monitors the rotor during the run and automatically shuts down if a severe imbalance condition is detected. Large rubber suction cup feet ensure that the unit will not"walk" ... moreand also provide excellent vibration isolation. The temperature control system can be set between–20 and +40°C, and continuously monitors the chamber temperature and calculates the required chamber temperature required to maintain the selected rotor temperature. Run parameters are fully programmable. And include rotor type, time, temperature, speed, and acceleration/deceleration rates. The unit was recently decommissioned from a university and it is excellent condition. It has been disassembled and inspected. And it is pristine internally, and all surfaces have been disinfected with alcohol. The control panel is in perfect condition and the controls respond smoothly and precisely, and the display is bright with no missing segments. It has been fully tested at multiple speeds for extended durations( 24 hours continuously) And all functions operate correctly; the refrigeration was set at-10°C, and it maintained setpoint throughout the duration.
