The internal structure of the item is in good condition with no dents or cracks. The rotor is also in good condition with no dents. The power cable is in good condition with no cuts or frayed areas. Please refer to the photos below for more details on the item. This item was plugged in and powered on with no problems. We turned the timer to 10 minutes and set the speed to max. The item ran for 10 minutes without any issues. When the item stopped running we used the brake and it functioned without any issues. The RPM meter got to a max of 3500. We then took out the rotor and turned the RPM to max and the item went over 9000 RPM. We guarantee this item to function properly and as described as is. This item is used and sold"As Is. I refurbished the centrifuge for use in my lab. It is in beautiful condition. I changed processes so I had to buy a centrifuge with a different rotor and don't have any room to store this one. The needle indicating RPMs is sticky and needs to be tapped to show the correct speed. It maxes out at 5.000 RPMs. The Rotor is CAT 815(7/87) There are 16 stainless steel tube sleeves that slide into the rotor. They are CAT 302(6/87) 46.5 GMS and"Made in the USA. There are 8 more holes without sleeves. For sample containment I used the Falcon(35 2097) Blue Max Jr. 15mL Conical Tube with blue cap. 17 x 120mm, Polypropylene, Non-Pyrogenic, Sterile centrifuge tubes. They fit perfectly inside the rotor sleeves.

Standard power cord and 4 tubes w/holders(see pic) There are no other accessories included and all of the feet are present. The lid locks in place and the centrifuge spics properly with no obstructions(this model will allow you to open the door while the centrifuge is spinning) The RPM and timer both work as well as the brake but it will not spic past 2500 RPM. The sticker attached states that it was last inspected in 2012 so it may have to be re-calibrated and cleaned but other than that it appears to be in good working order! This is a Damon/IEC centrifuge model number HN-SII. It comes with various tubes and collars as shown in the pictures. The centrifuge is equipped with a Brake On/Off switch. Timer, RPM meter and Centrifuge on With/Without Timer Switch. I tested the unit and it perform nicely. The unit spins without noise or vibration, the brake works correctly and the timer works as it should. This model has the 958 rotor and has a 1/7th horsepower motor. IEC HN-S centrifuge with IEC model 958 rotor. Six tube collars, four tubes This HN-S was removed from a working environment. All functions work properly: timer. Speed control, brake. The brake can be heard engaging, slowing the rotor, and then putting the rotor into reverse. We tested it without the four tubes and collars so as to avoid an imbalanced load. It ran at a steady 2500 RPM as shown in photos. The plastic cover over the RPM gage is missing, but the needle functions properly. We would like to highlight that all of our items are kept in a top-notch. Indoor, climate-controlled facility. Up for auction today is an I.E.C. HN-S Centrifuge with 958 Rotor. It includes six tube collars and six tubes as pictured. This unit powers up and spins up to max speed accordingly. The meter is working and so is the timer and brake. We cannot further test due to lack of expertise but our findings lead us to believe this is in good working condition. It is a clear plastic cylinder with a drain port on the bottom and input tube on the top lid. Inside of that is a polycarbonate‘bowl’ attached to the motor. I’m not sure what this is used for, perhaps separating of oil or something. I have tried to include enough pictures for you to see these inner workings. The good news is, if this rotor system does not suit your needs, it is easily removed so you can put in your own rotor and get to work. IEC Model HN-SII Laboratory Bench Top Centrifuge HNS II
This is a high quality laboratory centrifuge that has not seen much use. It works well. And is in very good condition. The lid has one rivet that is loose. This issue does not prevent the lid from closing completely and securely. See additional product photos for a closeup image showing the loose rivet on the cover. The centrifuge includes four rotors with tube holders(see additional product photos for a picture showing the rotors/tube holders in the centrifuge) This centrifuge has a variable speed control and a tachometer that indicates motor RPM.
